  1. Well now you’re moving the goalposts. The issue I took was with the assertion that many people actually thought he was one of the “greatest ever” (technically OP said THE greatest ever, but I won’t nitpick that). If the line is now simply “great,” then yes now you’re moving closer to an opinion that a majority of Democrats held.
  2. Your “data” consists of Reddit posts, x posts from people with only a couple thousand followers, and blogs from people no one has ever heard of. Yes, I’m sure you could find a few hundred anonymous x users claiming Biden is one of the best ever, but that was not a common opinion among the left (of which I am not a part of). The fact that the same random blog post was shared twice in this same thread is evidence of that - clearly that must be one of the top google results…
  3. Well I never argued that the left thinks Trump is the worst, that’s true. But I don’t think many think Biden is the best. Even the links you just posted added the qualifier of “in my lifetime,” with several even adding further qualifiers than that. The only of those links that called him one of the best ever was the blog post from “Bobby from the Bronx” that was already shared
  4. My comparison wasn’t bad. 14 / 46 presidents = 0.3 0.3 x 77 wrestling teams = 23rd So the 14th “greatest” president is comparable to the 23rd “greatest” wrestler in the NCAA
  5. Will they be doing True 2nds?
  6. Man the Cornell lawyers are always one step ahead
  7. So they knew people were fraudulently “wining and dining” (pretty specific example), but not who was doing it? You do know how credit cards work, right?
  8. Yeah there probably are some and we should root them out. But again, we shouldn’t have to shut off nearly everyone’s card in order to find them…
  9. Part of the reason why this is unprecedented. Ok so you’re saying they’d only shut off the cards of the people that were abusing them, right? I agree, that’s what should happen!
  10. Wasteful? Absolutely. Fraudulent? Probably not, especially if we’re talking in “metric tons.” And we shouldn’t need to paralyze the spending of the entire organization to find it
  11. lol, 14th out of 46 is not “one of the best.” That’s like going 1-2 at NCAA’s. Thanks for proving my point @jross!
  12. The only part where I said “I don’t believe” was in reference to Musk citing evidence of fraud on the cards. Has he provided that?
  13. “Proclaimed over and over again”
  14. I doubt they’d shut off credit cards for the overwhelming majority of the organization because they found some people were abusing them…. So yeah, thank you as well for proving my point. The other difference between your made up scenario and what’s actually happening of course is that I don’t believe President Musk has cited actual evidence of fraud with the credit cards. All DOGE has said is that there are more credit cards than employees. I’d wager the extras are just inactive and likely don’t even have any spend on them
  15. I like how they’re calling the semis “prelims”
  16. I do, and have always had a corporate credit card. We’ve had travel freezes across various companies I’ve worked for, but it was just a verbal direction, pretty sure they never actually shut off or drastically reduced the limit on the card (or reduced the limit at all for that matter). And I only worked for companies selling products, not running the government. So yeah, thanks for proving the point that this is pretty unprecedented…
  17. I trust that there are some people among the 2 million that are not making fraudulent purchases on their government credit cards. Isn’t it odd that DOGE apparently has the power to change expense spending limits to $1? Sounds like a story you’d hear out of communist China
  18. I also enjoyed him calling out other guys for saying they’ll go in a 3-point stance…
  19. I like his rebranding of clinics to “seminars.” Sounds more high class
  20. But if he lost that match in the dual he probably doesn’t get the 1…
  21. No, it’s a true statement
  22. An x post with 456 likes, you’re really reaching. Biden was so great the Dems led a coup to get him to drop out of the race
  23. Agree with cutting stuff like that, but I don’t think your question is so cut and dry. IMO you’d also need to take into consideration whether things got cut that shouldn’t have been or ended up having a bigger negative impact. One possible example: https://apnews.com/article/veterans-affairs-cuts-doge-musk-trump-f587a6bc3db6a460e9c357592e165712
  24. I never said there were no trans mice and agree there should have never been any that were funded by the government. Just pointing out the correct amount. I also could do without the White House calling people losers, but maybe that’s just me.
