  1. In that statement, the court/judge. Too much pride? What the heck is that supposed to mean? Is that him confirming that the undercover officer was a dude?
  2. Do we think this is a real quote from Kevin Jackson? https://iowastatedaily.com/281891/sports/make-it-happen-anthony-wesleys-journey-to-become-an-olympian-iowa-state-international-wrestling-august-wesley-kevin-jackson-olympics-paris-tokyo-world-stage-championship-born-to-wrestle/ “August also wrestled for a majority of his life and was a collegiate wrestler. August wrestled for Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club, where former Iowa State wrestling head coach Kevin Jackson also wrestled around the same time. The two, August and Jackson, won several national championships while on the same freestyle team. “That built a bond between me and him, and we are trying to accomplish the same things—so our goals are similar. We got to know each other pretty well during that time,” Jackson said.” I like how then it says August and Kevin Jackson lost touch because August “moved on to bigger and better things.” I know in one of the other threads it was mentioned that Anthony did actually register a few international wins. He was on the roster at ISU for 3 years, won a bunch of matches against D2/D3/JC/NAIA guys but only had 2 D1 wins, surprisingly one over former R16 finisher Vince Turk of Iowa. https://www.wrestlestat.com/wrestler/40221/wesley-anthony/profile
  3. August’s son Anthony called it Cape Verde in this video https://www.kttc.com/2024/10/31/anthony-wesley-pursues-two-passions-mat/
  4. Damn, between that and me starting the “Cape Verde” debate, I guess I am proving @Jason Bryant’s point about wrestling fans
  5. What are you trying to say, wrestling fans are not as smart as the general public ?
  6. But isn’t “by descent” also how he’s claiming to be an indigenous person? I guess it could be one from his mom and one from his dad…
  7. I was wondering, so he’s claiming to be both a “North American Indigenous” person, and from Cape Verde? I’m no geography or history expert, are there many North American Indigenous people in Cape Verde, off the coast of Africa?
  8. Another video from Kyler after winning the U20 US Open. He was repping Atreus RTC. Don’t think there was really mention of Kaleb.
  9. Does this dude google his name like everyday or something? Lol, that must be how he gets his embellishment skills
  10. OK I’m good with calling him a contender. I’d still favor Bastida and Trumble over him IMO though
  11. Oh ok I thought you were saying you thought he should be the biggest favorite of any weight
  12. Kueter biggest favorite? He’s not the favorite at all (Bastida)
  13. Well he wasn’t selected to represent Cabo Verde at the Olympics, for starters
  14. Oh wow, I thought he was just the king of majorly exaggerating (and pretty much lying about) his credentials. Didn’t realize he’s suspected of actual crimes. Sounds like he’s basically the George Santos of wrestling
  15. Thanks for confirming “get rid of” doesn’t mean kill
  16. The article I posted was from 2 weeks ago. He’s not the Cabo Verde Wrestling Federation Secretary General or President of the Africa Referee Commission anymore?
  17. Sure, I’m just saying there were probably some people that didn’t like Snyder previously, if he was known to do this on overseas trips I feel like people might have heard about it sooner. But even the NLWC haters that I’ve seen seemed legitimately shocked by the news.
  18. Ha, maybe. Although if he was doing it while on trips with other people I feel like rumblings might have gotten out previously. I’d be curious how many camps he did as the main clinician though…
  19. Hall of Fame bio - https://www.naiahf.org/team-1/august-wesley/narragansett
  20. He was in the (local) news again recently. I thought maybe he had had enough scamming and went back to just coaching middle and high school, which he’d actually be qualified for. But apparently in addition to that, he is still claiming to have been selected for the Tokyo Olympics and “currently serves as the Cabo Verde Wrestling Federation Secretary General and president of the Africa Referee Commission. Coach Wesley was nominated to the North American Indigitios Athletic Hall of Fame. He will be formally inducted into the NAIA class of 2025 this summer.“ https://www.eastbayri.com/stories/accomplished-wrestler-happy-to-help-young-grapplers-in-barrington,130888
  21. OK maybe Carr. I don’t think I’d put KOT in that category TBH. Nolf and Marinelli have been out of college (and thus not doing interviews) for 3+ years. Nolf I wouldn’t have put in that category IMO, Marinelli yes. Blades yes (I commented about her earlier), but I was mainly thinking about college guys.
  22. Wrong forum, take this to international!
  23. Maybe Kerk too. Who else credits basically only God/Jesus and barely talks about anything else?
