  1. Was it an eye poke? Nelson Brands hit a sweet arm spin in that match. I did not see that coming
  2. I really like Stewart’s skillset and he has a lot of potential but he’s going to have to jump 3 levels in the offseason to get on Parker’s level.
  3. Why would it be a probably to hire a very qualified coach just because their child is a stud wrestler?
  4. Ragusin looked great this year at 133 is a legit contender at that weight. I wonder if we see Cannon attempt to go 125 to get in the lineup. A lineup of 125-Cannon, 133-Ragusin, 141-Lemely is salty.
  5. 125- Ayala (Iowa) 133- Crookham (Lehigh) 141- Alirez (Northern Colorado) 149- Lovett (Nebraska) 157- Shapiro (Cornell) 165- Haines (PSU) 174- O'toole (Mizzou) 184- Keckeisen (UNI) 197- Elam (Mizzou) HWT- Kerk (PSU - if he comes back) or Merrill (OSU)
  6. I agree. It’s just very rare for a non-AA wrestler to take over as head coach for a solid program.
  7. Jared Franek / Chris Ayres
  8. My former high schools wrestling room is a slight upgrade over Michigan State's room from the pictures I have seen.
  9. Does Pearsall have the credentials to take over this type of program? I know they are not a top tier program, but they are very solid. I think Valenti is a significantly higher profile hire than Pearsall would have been.
  10. OK State and Penn State also get their fair share of transfers.
  11. * Freshman NQ
  12. Was there a particular circumstance that led to him leaving OKSt?
  13. Might as well get an undergrad from Harvard and then graduate degrees from Rutgers an Michigan.
  14. How big of a deal was it when Dave Schultz transferred from Oklahoma State to Oklahoma back in the day?
  15. Big Slav to the portal.
  16. How are the Hawkeyes going to be able to practice grounding if they don’t have an area in the new facility dedicated to organic soil and wild grasses natural to the Iowa city biosphere?
  17. I will guess 125- Attasauov 133- Byrd 141- Pucino 149- Webster 157- Scoles 165- Braunagel 174- Ruth 184- Connell 197- Braunagel 285- Luffman
  18. Caliendo is shredded but apparently he came into the season at the lowest weight out of Franek, PK, Caliendo. He is not a particularly tall or lengthy individual.
  19. Correct.
  20. 125 - Drake Ayala 133- Cullan Schriever / Kale Peterson or transfer 141- Ryder Block (if he can make 141 still) or transfer 149- Caleb Rathjen / Victor Voinovich / Miguel Estrada 157- Mikey Caliendo / Cobe Seibrecht 165- Patrick Kennedy / Mikey Caliendo 174- Gabe Arnold 184- Nelson Brands / Angelo Ferrari 197- Zach Glazier 285- Ben Kueter / Bradley Hill
  21. Possibly but Rogers just looked way too small at 197 and apparently Bullock was significantly ahead of him for the 184 spot. Might just be looking to go somewhere he can slot in and start at 184.
  22. Jason Tsirtis, Andrew Howe
  23. Jay Borschell
  24. Great hunting and fishing around Brookings, SD and Tanner Cook is graduated so we have a hole in the lineup. Come train with Cael Swensen and Cade Devos!
  25. Anyone that rationally looks at the output of success over the last 15 years would conclude that Iowa State has been little brother in the state of Iowa. They may turn the tide and pass Iowa in the future but out placing them once at nationals in the last 15 years by 1.5 points in a year that they lost the dual to them and Iowa lost half their starting lineup to a gambling probe would be a very, very weak argument.
