Idk about gassed. Keck did that from the first time they went out of bounds
  2. Cole Matthews Dec Ryan Jack 15-10 Cole Matthews is now 10-9 on the season but has wins over Jack and Jesse Mendez
  3. Bennett Berge mdec Sam Wolfe 8-0 Berge has been wrestling really well after a slow start. Go Jacks!

ESPN+ is only like $10 a month and has a lot of wrestling, especially Big 12. Well worth the price.
  5. Refs should let the offensive wrestler finish takedowns when Peyton Hall does his rubber knee defense. He purposely turns his knee against the joint a lot and gets referee stoppages when he is in bad positions.
  6. Foca beat Feldkamp 8-7 in the dual. I would say he has a chance to deck him as well.
  7. Is Ungar vs Greg D an open competition or is Ungar the certified starter unless injury?
  8. 97kg is 214lbs and Tony looked huge at 214. I would not be in the least bit surprised if he is weighing 235-245 right now. Remember, this was an international event does not have the NCAA sanctioned weight cutting rules. Tony would be in the 2-5 range at NCAA's like he has been for the last 3 years if he is granted more eligibility. I don't see him beating Kerk, but everyone else is fair game. Brands would be a legit finalist contender at 174. He was 5th last year and 174 lost AA's Labriola, Foca, Ethan Smith and Plott. Assad would be a big upgrade from Riggins at 184 and a potential AA (although, I doubt it with his track record).
  9. And your correction of my math was even further off my man lol. 13. It’s a different level of commitment and competition in the practice room also at D2-D3-NAIA. I’m sure if you took those top guys and stuck them in a room with the same level of athletes you find at a D1 institute the D2-D3-NAIA top level guys would get a lot better. Iron sharpens iron.
  14. We all expected for Levi to make the Penn State leap in year two. The facts of reality are that he is still a VERY good wrestler.. he is just pretty much the same guy that he was last year. Whether its the weight cut or injury that has stopped him from making the leap is unknown to me but we typically expect PSU guys to go from being very good to separating themselves from the pack. Last year he lost to Zerban in OT and then wrestled OT or 1 point matches with Lewan, Robb, Seibricht, Kendal Coleman & Barraclough.
  15. Idk man. He lost to Swenson last year and conveniently misses the dual this year…
  16. Well he also lost to Marcus Colman. Beat Coleman and he is the 1 seed.
  17. I still think the comp is Metcalf. Straight forward, in your face, great hand fight and never even considers taking a step backward
  18. He didn’t want to lose to Swenson again
  19. If Dake only took losses in his true freshman season he would have a bigger argument. Since two of his losses came after his freshman year, Cael is the obvious pick.
  20. All the matches in the Randy Lewis vs John Smith series from the 1988 olympic trials and qualifiers.
  21. Wow, 9 pm start time is confirmed! Maybe I am just forgetting but I cannot remember a dual starting that late...
  22. Are they doing a delayed viewing of the Minnesota Nebraska dual or something? No way, it actually starts at 9 CST...
  23. Yeah I see a lot of the stalemate positions being called as positions where one wrestler is in a clear advantage position and the other wrestler is just holding on to force a stalemate and get a fresh start. I think we could do away with 90% of stalemate calls in matches.
  24. Honest question: would it be better if there were no stalemates whatsoever?
  25. I would say that Iowa is the 2nd best team right now. I do not see Ohio State in the mix for 2nd with the other teams that you listed unless something drastic changes. They just do not have the horses to rise up and challege for 2nd without Sasso, Kharchala being hurt and their young guys (outside of Mendez) stagnating. I do think that Michigan and OK State should be mentioned.
