  1. He’s really good in neutral and solid on top. He has struggled on the mat. Not sure that gets cleaned up before NCAA’s but hopefully it’s not something he struggles with his hole career.
  2. When Salazar gets on a roll, he can put a hurting on quality opponents.
  3. Man, Berge had that match! He is hitting his groove. He’s an AA threat for sure. Had the potential to place high. Plott just too savvy for him today.
  4. It was a good match. Sloan got a takedown in the first and that kind of coasted.
  5. Lugo went from being a guy ranked in the teens to a guy that was beating Sasso and favored to win a title. One win over Sorensen showed the promise that he had that was not being maximized in his training environment at the time. He became super consistent and a hammer at Iowa. His senior level results continue to show that he is a really tough competitor.
  6. I’m okay with being “that guy”. I had a lot of friends in college and high school that were big stoners. Let’s just say that smoking weed was not the only crime a lot of these guys were committing. They had a general lack of ambition for bettering themselves or society. Have you ever met a crackhead that did not start off smoking a little weed???
  7. Not really. The OP is asking if guys get better at Iowa. The other guy is arguing PSU against Iowa. If the question is PSU against Iowa then PSU is the obvious answer. They recruit, develop and win at a higher rate than any other team and it’s not really comparable. Iowa vs the rest of the field, Iowa looks pretty good. They have had the most non-PSU success of any team since Tom took the reins. They also have had many transfer make big jumps coming to Iowa. Namely Lugo and DeSanto.
  8. It’s clear when Mesenbrink and Peyton Hall are using that defense that they are putting themselves in that position purposely
  9. The Mesenbrink “break my leg defense” on a single leg is akin to the Peyton Hall defense. They put themselves in a danger position to get a restart. Red should just let it play out if they put themselves in that position.
  10. Pat Lugo got way better at Iowa.
  11. Sorry, the guy that throw a bong at Kade and then stabbed him with a shattered piece of bong glass was just a goofy pizza eater laying around and giggling.
  12. Olejnik has some really slick stuff. O’Toole has some super slick ducks
  13. Vito is the first one that comes to mind
  14. Determining what a takedown is, is being increasingly difficult. It looked like a takedown to me
  15. Ridge should 100% choose top when it is his choice.
  16. Sometimes Gomez forgets that he has really good baseline attacks also and doesn’t need to hit a big move off the whistle
  17. Lemley has a lot of horsepower for a freshman.
  18. Next level discernment lol
  19. I am find with it if that means less ducking in duals.
  20. Revised... Hanging around junkies, drug dealers, drunks or ex-girlfriends is a bad idea.
  21. Hanging around junkies, drug dealers or drunks is a bad idea. Not complicated.
  22. McEnelly is going to be a hammer. Should be some fun matchups. You think he is a career 184 guy or does he go up or down?
  23. My guy Bennett Berge has been wrestling very well since the start of the year. He did not start off wrestling with the team right away, was a little banged up and when he came back he dropped a couple of matches. Since then he has looked great with major decision victories over Jaden Bullock and Sam Wolf. He is very good on his feet and tough on top. Still needs to figure out how to get out on bottom against those with grown man strength.
  24. I am picking Nagao, not because I think he will lose but because he is the only one that really fits the definition of getting Carvered that has a greater than 1% chance of losing. Brooks or Kerk would fit the bill but I would be pretty shocked if they lost.
