  1. lmao it was not loading and it triple posted my apologies
  2. Gibson may be 5'2 with shoes on I think he would be drastically undersized at 141 I'm not sure he beats Oliveri
  3. I saw someone mention that AB trains A LOT with Cael and who better to train with to prepare for DT than the guy who he molded his style from. You couple that with AB being phenomenal and potentially age catching up to DT a tad and I think that could explain what we saw. Im still mixed on how I feel I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt if you can beat DT in two that you can win olympic gold however we know DT dominates against the field and we saw Aaron pushed to the brink by Zahid so he may not have as good of a chance against the field as DT although thats also assuming DT has not lost a step which is hard to say for sure.
  4. I think Aman Aman is the biggest threat at 57 and Ochir at 65 Ochir has a 4-1 win over Mckenna and a 10-3 win over Yianni the same year Yianni took silver as well as two very close losses to Amouzad. Zain can certainly beat him but probably not someone he wants to see shortly off the scale.
  5. A route that has produced a true freshman second a third with Haines and Kasak. Zack Ryder yet to be seen.
  6. you should sweet talk him into throwing his name in the hat for none olympic trials at 70kg if hes qualified I think he can go with those guys depending of course on how he does at u20's I look at his cadet trials in 22 as an outlier.
  7. Blaze hit list off the top of my head #2 Jax forrest - Clarion Open #2 Jax forrest - OTT #1 Luke Lilledahl- WTT wrestle back #1 Luke Lilledahl- Ironman finals #1 Anthony knox x2- U17 finals #3 leo Deluca- Ironman 3/4 #3 Ledo deluca- Ironman semi Matt ramos- Clarion open semi Nico Megaludis- WTT wrestle back I am not super familiar with Locketts results I know he won ironman and took third there and won super 32 but I feel like the two wins the fields were not as loaded. The tech over Meyer is nuts though and that avenged a loss he had at whos 1.
  8. I think It would be very difficult to rebreak the record with this team. Id have them winning 165,197,285 and a shot to win 125,141(I think Alirez and Jesse may separate a bit though), 149,174 (I favor KOT by a decent margin). While I think this lineup has crazy upside similarly to this year I think there's a world where MM and Kerk are the only champs if Keck goes 197 I think he can go with Carter. Im not sure where SVN is at post injury and to go up a weight when I didn't think he was that big at 149 could pose issues. Lilledahl has as good of a chance as 8-10 other guys to win 125. Not sure what to expect from Barr I'm sure he does well and I think nagao is a low AA likely at best. They will win the natty again with ease just not sure if 172 is likely.
  9. all the more reason for blaze to go to Ohio state like Stieber
  10. Just making this since we have a junior open thread and also to ask @Husker_Du if he thinks Rayney is actually going to make 121.
  11. I think that's the plan, he will likely take some weird losses but he's definitely going to upset some people along the way.
  12. Duke vs Webster, Jax Vs Knox,Lilledahl and Bo,Zepeda, lemley,Valencia whoever comes out of those should be absolute treats. I think Mantanona could win 74 hes so much longer than ladarion and sealey.
  13. missed hopke! beau man is Mantanona sorry for the abbreviation.

  15. I think the addition of a shot clock or a pushout to folk would be awesome but aside from that I enjoy two different styles and I think a pushout would be enough to make the transition to free fairly seamless aside from quad pod and obvious exposure stuff.
  16. It almost seemed like if you scored an offensive point at any point in the match, they would not put you on the clock unless you were completely disengaging from contact.
  17. I'm a big big fan of both Larkin brothers but they have been better at free than folk for as long as I've seen them on the scene so I would not expect a one for one translation of results to folk style. That being said I think he can be a national champ and potentially a 4x aa
  18. I think at this point and time ghasempour could potentially be better than Yaz. Yaz beat him in 2019 6-3 and in 2020 5-2 for the world and olympic team but Ghasempour was 22 and 23 at the time and Yaz was probably in his prime. I would assume Ghasempour is in his prime now and Yaz may be out of if similarly to Taylor seemingly. Either way Aaron is my pick but I think a healthy Yazdani may be the ever so slightly easier matchup.
  19. @Husker_Dulikely has some insight
  20. Purely because there is so much separation from duke and the other guys around his weigh in the class of 2025. Where as while Blaze I think is better than Knox and Deluca they are both relatively comparable to his skill level. Bouzakis may be the closest comp to duke and Duke beat him 21-8 last time they wrestled. After writing that I checked what class ladarion Lockett is and hes also 2025 and I would have him and duke near a coin flip so Im good with blaze at #1
  21. Brandon cannon is registered for 70kg for u20's I think thats notable I'm super high on him and he jumped up weight a lot in High school being at 106 and then I heard was sub 100lbs after his treatments he may be growing late and I think he'd be a great option at 157.
  22. I agree but if it's best for the team I think he would do it. I also think he may want to grow into a 149 to be full sized for 65kg moving forward so he could use a year to do that.
  23. Thayne was very good but not near as good as Rune imo and while Lehigh does tremendous with their lighter weights they seem to have issues developing the heavier guys.
  24. 57Kg: Blaze 57Kg: Forrest 65kg: Jesse 74kg: MM 86kg: Brooks 86kg: Trent

  25. On board with all of these wondering if we could see Aaron or DT maybe at 92 doubt both but potentially one of them I think Aaron will look to grow into 97 for 2028. I would probably go Zain at 70 if he wrestles he may retire after the olympics or just opt to not wrestle at worlds but if he does I doubt he goes 65. Ladarion Lockett looked really really good at 74kg and I think hes pretty undersized for that weight so he may have a shot as well. Kaleb Larkin is another one I think could do very well I think the cut to 65 is pretty brutal for him. Overall if we keep the same guys in from the olympics aside from zain but flip in Lee/Alirez/Jesse/Yianni I think 70 is our only weight with an outside shot to medal unless zain goes very high hopes for both worlds and olympics.
