  1. I never knew that. Very interesting. I just looked it up and it is a thing. Very cool. mspart
  2. How would you then get a conference champion. mspart
  3. I have read where the first 4 games will be played at one team's home field and this is not a bowl game. After this there are 8 teams left 4 byes and 4 winners. The Next set of games are bowl games for 1/4 and semi. So yes, they will use the bowl system to carry out the bracket. The final will be toward the end of Jan. The semi will take place 2nd weekend of Jan. From https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2023-12-03/how-12-team-college-football-playoff-will-work-teams-schedule-bids 2024 quarterfinals: Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl 2024 semifinals: Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl Fiesta Bowl | Quarterfinals Dec. 31 Peach, Rose, Sugar Bowl | Quarterfinals Jan. 1 Orange Bowl | Semifinals Jan. 9 Cotton Bowl | Semifinals Jan. 10 Atlanta, GA | National Championship Jan. 20 I understand this and the article explains qualifiers but it seems disjointed to me. Thanks for the input everyone. mspart
  4. Pac-12 is now the Pac 2. Yes it is gone. SEC, ACC, B1G, Big12, that's 4 of six. Are there other conferences in the list? mspart
  5. OK, so how exactly does the new 12 team format work? mspart
  6. Yeah, it was back in the day. I was scorekeeper and was bored to death. No, I don't remember the final score. No one could buy a basket though. mspart
  7. Yaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! mspart
  8. In all seriousness, I have not seen that report and that is extremely troubling if true. mspart
  9. I remember my sister was in a basketball game. Score was 0-0 for most of the game. mspart
  10. Yeah, that play was a real head scratcher. Who calls for a QB sneak 3 yards out with the game on the line? Maybe the QB just did it. But he got stuffed. Not Bama's high note for sure. mspart
  11. There is nothing to see here obviously. mspart
  12. This just seems like a no brainer. Get rid of them. If he doesn't, then he needs to lay down the law and stick to it like with DeSanto. But the fact eveyrone is silent does not bode well for that either. How do you control people like that? You don't. Then you have to kick them off the team or ruin the brand. And if that happens, both the AD and Brands are out. Not a gamble I'd take. mspart
  13. My son had a 10 acre farm for 7-8 years. It was fun to go out there, but then if we did, he put us to work. It was still fun out there. mspart
  14. It started out as a tongue in cheek thing to see if anyone knew what HOH was. It seems everyone did or I gave it away. But then I started thinking that a considerable by product of burning fuel is water. Just like we say the Carbon has been locked away in the fuel for millions of years so has the hydrogen. So we are adding water to the atmosphere just like CO2. And water vapor is a stronger greenhouse gas than CO2. But it is probably true that it might all turn to rain, unless it stays lower in the atmosphere, then it might stay as water vapor. Do you know the difference between water vapor and steam? Yes, this is a change in direction. But may be interesting. mspart
  15. Bob is rigormortered and doesn't know it!! Stiff as a 2X12 longways. mspart
  16. They need to get rid of AJ. Kid is trouble. mspart
  17. True, and I was among the first to say AL should not have been in the playoff, although I was glad they were there. They have not played like the Tide for some time. Moot point now, both TX and Bama are out. mspart
  18. It talks about beasts and stuff. Is Grambling considered a beast in women's BB? mspart
  19. Undefeated should go in before defeated. Especially if they are from one of the big conferences. FSU should have been in the playoff. which of TX and AL should have been in the playoff. Tough to say as both lost. mspart
