  1. https://nypost.com/2024/06/08/us-news/yale-law-professor-says-trump-isnt-a-convicted-felon-despite-guilty-verdict-heres-why/ Despite media reports, Rubenfeld insisted that it’s “not true” that Trump is already a “convicted felon,” arguing that one is “not a convicted felon because of a jury verdict.” “You are not convicted until the judge enters that judgment of guilt. Now, in New York, it’s very likely that Judge Merchan will enter that judgment of guilt against Trump on the same day that he issues sentencing. That’d be July 11th.” A jury found him guilty. He is convicted when the judge enters that judgement and sentences the person found guilty. mspart
  2. I just got youtube and saw that he is with Bakersfield. I thought he did well, moved like a gorilla but he shot and scored. Maybe he can keep his nose clean this year. mspart
  3. So who does Ferarri wrestle for? I didn't think any university wanted him. The video is not loading for me. mspart
  4. True that. Both were pretty hard nose competitors. mspart
  5. 2^-10 in binary speak. Just for you nerds out there. mspart
  6. Who needs real info when we can argue over fake info? mspart
  7. I have a question about drinking. I don't drink so I don't know that whole deal. How many DOD secretaries have imbibed alcohol? It was well known Teddy Kennedy was drunk most of the time but he was the revered Lion of the Senate. What level of drinking is ok and what level is not ok? Why is this all of the sudden an issue for Hegseth and not for anyone else that held this position? What kind of candidate would be ideal for this position? What experience would be needed to do this job? What I'm getting is that because he drinks and has tats and hasn't administered anything, he must not be a good candidate. He has a lot of years in the military and knows what the grunt and the veterans need and don't need. He might be just the right kind of person to bring in a better perspective into the military readiness equation. So an answer to the above questions might be a good starting point for understanding what is needed for this job. mspart
  8. Starting with the next president of course! mspart
  9. As the media likes to say, you say this without any evidence. Have they served as cabinet members? No. So you can assume all you want and prognosticate all you want. The proof will be in the pudding when they either succeed or don't. mspart
  10. You have not read the manifesto yet declare what was not the problem. No way it could be anything to do with the family because you had a bad family and you came out ok. Interesting. Your anecdotal experience seems to be in the way of your objectivity. mspart
  11. Kamala was not a better choice. That much is apparent. mspart
  12. Agreed. mspart
  13. Then why does he think he has a chance if all of this is well known and out there? Again, I think the confirmation hearings will bring all this out if true. mspart
  14. If what you are saying is true, it should come out in the confirmation hearings. mspart
  15. I answered you in my response to you if you could read crusty. murder is wrong, always. People that are pushed too far use the methods civil society use to get redress for their issues. They do not resort to murder. See above. Plus what pushed Luigi too far to kill a CEO of a company he never had any dealings with? That is where this line of reasoning completely falls apart. Being a sentient person, you should be able to see this. mspart
  16. https://www.dailydot.com/debug/jesse-singal-bluesky-death-threats/ https://peopleofcolorintech.com/articles/bluesky-users-question-platforms-safety-after-failure-to-protect-black-software-engineer-from-threats/ Is it any wonder that Dorsey's haven for liberal thought that can't stand any kind of different opinion, that there are death threats and racist propaganda? mspart
  17. Even a Christian man can be a person that is not a bad guy, imagine that. I have not read the manifesto or much else. All I know is a 15 year old girl shot up the place with a 9mm handgun. Probably had only one clip as there are 2 dead, 6 injured, and her dead as well. Probably ran out of ammo and off'd herself, which was probably her intent anyway. Reasons for the shooting will be unhinged. If she was suicidal and decided to take out others with her, that would be unhinged. If she was mad at her parents, that would be unhinged. Nobody does this kind of thing unless they are unhinged, in my opinion. mspart
  18. I disagree with your disagreement. Her intent was to support the shooter. Murder is wrong BUT...... But nothing. Murder is wrong. When people get pushed too far, they go to court, they settle their differences within the law. Plus, she assumed he did this because he was wronged somehow. And came to this conclusion before any real facts came out. Yes, he has back problems and had surgery because of it. He did no business with United Healthcare and was never a client of theirs. So he was pushed so far that he chose a random CEO to kill? I made fun of her because her position is clearly ignorant and she proved that by clarifying saying murder is wrong period. So now that she has made her clarification, your questions are moot. As they should be. Keep up with the times my friendly little crustacean. mspart
  19. You don't seem too conerned about the waste of taxpayer money RV. You are such a budget hawk, I'm just astounded you are not really more upset. All that talk about reducing wasteful spending and her is a real example and you are meh. mspart
  20. So what is he accused of specifically. The article went on and on and I quit reading. mspart
  21. And this happened in Madison WI. So RV just wanted to be the first to say something because he lives there an no doubt knew very early on and then he said something really weird about this whole thing bringing race into it before anyone knows the who's or the what's. This is a sad day. It appears the shooter killed himself before he could do a whole lot of killing. I have read reports that the police did not fire any shots so the killer killed himself unless someone in the school was armed. It was apparently all done with a handgun by a student at the school. That is all i could glean from the news. mspart
  22. Anyone care to say what happened? mspart
  23. It is wall building materials. Surplus only because Biden chose not to build the wall. Not surplus as Trump was going to use those materials to continue the building of the wall. Now it will cost twice as much or more as prices have increased due to inflation etc. RV - you of all people should be incensed by this idiotic use of the taxpayers money. Buy stuff, sell at ridiculous losses, then buy again. Government logic at its best. mspart
  24. Are you saying the wall material is not being auctioned off at pennies or less on the dollar? https://www.newsweek.com/govplanet-biden-selling-border-wall-sale-auction-2000729 https://www.scott.senate.gov/media-center/press-releases/senator-scott-condemns-biden-administrations-decision-to-auction-off-border-wall-materials/ https://nypost.com/2024/12/12/us-news/biden-admin-quietly-clears-away-border-wall-parts-for-auction-before-trump-takes-office/ Go ahead RL. Tell me this isn't happening and is a Chinese media stunt. mspart
