  1. We've had limited success in Greco over the years. 96, Paulsen, Hall, and Ghaffari all won silver. 98 Ghaffari won silver 2000 - Lindland, Lowney, Gardner to silver, bronze, and gold 01 - Paulsen, Lindland, Gardner - first two with silver, Gardner with Gold. 02 - Byers Gold 04 - Gardner Bronze I'm getting this from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_results_in_Greco-Roman_wrestling. Not a lot of consistency from our guys. Gardner was pretty consistent. The difference is that our FS guys are consistent for the most part. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_results_in_men's_freestyle_wrestling This shows a different story. We have had a lot more success in FS, but recently, even more. The last year Russia as able to compete as Russia, 2021, we had 7 medalists in 10 weights. That's pretty good. 2020 we had 5 medalists in 6 weights. We had Hancock in GR that did well and improved his performance every year and took 3rd and then retired. Perhaps he could have been that guy. I don't see anyone on the horizon. It seems like we did better in GR when we had the coach with the secret sauce, Dan Chandler. He seemed able to get folks ready. It will have to come from USA Wrestling I think as they place new emphasis on GR. Otherwise, it will stay obscure. mspart mspart
  2. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/military-tracking-balloon-western-us-military/ The U.S. is tracking a small, high-altitude balloon that is drifting across the country but poses no threat to national security, U.S. officials and the military said Friday. CBS News first reported that the military was tracking the balloon as it traversed the Western U.S. earlier in the day. NORAD, the military command responsible for air defense over the U.S. and Canada, later confirmed it had detected the object and said it was floating between 43,000 and 45,000 feet. Its presence prompted enough concern that the command sent aircraft to investigate. "The balloon was intercepted by NORAD fighters over Utah, who determined it was not maneuverable and did not present a threat to national security. NORAD will continue to track and monitor the balloon," NORAD said in a statement. "The FAA also determined the balloon posed no hazard to flight safety." One U.S. official told CBS News the balloon was expected to be over Georgia by Friday night. The official said the balloon appeared to be made of Mylar and had a small cube-shaped box, about two feet long on each side, hanging below it. Its origins and purpose remain unknown. The developments come one year after tensions between the U.S. and China ratcheted to new heights after a Chinese balloon carrying sophisticated spying equipment flew over the continental U.S. for several days. So they are just going to let it fly across the US? Wonderful! mspart
  3. WKN,. If you think the USA is a hellscape, you should move to Russia. Leave your retirement money here and live like a real Russian. I think you'll find your hellscape is quite cozy compared to that. mspart
  4. Of course you are. I'll spell it out for you. 1. DA and prosecuting attorney have most likely perjured themselves regarding an affair they were having. 2. It is corrupt to hire a lover, pay him huge salary, and be taken on vacation by said lover, and meals paid for by said lover. She is sharing in his largesse. The fact that outside counsel is retained is normal and expected. But not if they are having an affair where there is a reasonable expectation of sharing the largesse. 3. The trial they are prosecuting is now suspect due to the corrupt nature of their relationship. Was she actually prosecuting or did the whole thing hatch as a way to enrich the participants Fani and Wade? 4. This raises the cloud of corruption over the whole trial. 5. The judge overseeing the trial has determined that this matters whether you think so or not. It is not standard procedure for this kind of relationship in a prosecuting or defense law team. 6. I'm sure there are more. I'm tired of writing. None of this will convince you. The justice of their cause is too high to be in question you will reason. This is just a side note not worth bothering about. But there are plenty of law types, including the judge, who would disagree with you. mspart
  5. And when the Don't say gay bill was all the rage (and it had nothing to do with gay, that was a D an media lie), the truth was that it was about not allowing Trans stuff to be taught to K-3 kids. Everyone said, there was no need for such a bill because it isn't happening. Well, now there is ample evidence that it is happening. My wife who is a preschool teacher talked with one of her moms and she has a first grader and saw for herself such literature in the classroom. She objected and was told it cannot be removed because there may be kids who need to see it. Of course this is anecdotal but the interwebs are full of this. It was a lie that it wasn't happening just like the left lie about just about everything. https://abcnews4.com/news/nation-world/parents-allege-first-graders-taught-about-gender-dysphoria-without-their-consent-pittsburg-pennsylvania-carmilla-tatel-stacey-dunn-gretchen-melton-parental-civil-rights-constitution-students-school-jefferson-elementary https://dailycitizen.focusonthefamily.com/new-jersey-to-require-1st-graders-to-learn-about-gender-identity-starting-this-fall/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2022/06/03/schools-gender-identity-transgender-lessons/ In Florida and several others states, educators are restricted in teaching about gender identity, but elsewhere, teachers are embracing the topic as the number of transgender and gender nonbinary children rises https://wpde.com/news/nation-world/1st-grade-teacher-tells-students-doctors-make-a-guess-about-gender-when-a-baby-is-born-boston-massachusetts-ray-skyer-transgender https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/first-grade-parents-shocked-after-transgender-book-report Parents of first graders at a Washington state school had their concerns ignored by the local school board and administration after a teacher read a book on transgender issues to the class, according to a report. I found these with a search on Google, "transexualism is taught in 1st grade". These are among the first entries to my search. Not cherry picked. It is a lie that this is not in the schools. FL is just more wise than the rest of the nation it appears. mspart
  6. All the incoming has shifted from TX and their razor wire to CA and AZ. San Diego is overrun. https://apnews.com/article/border-patrol-street-releases-asylum-7ae9ff48b48e203ecdd5c099942dc1f5 Border Patrol releases hundreds of migrants at a bus stop after San Diego runs out of aid money SAN DIEGO (AP) — Hundreds of migrants were dropped off Friday at a San Diego bus stop instead of at a reception center that had been serving as a staging area because it ran out of local funding sooner than expected, showing how even the largest city on the country’s southern border is struggling to cope with the unprecedented influx of people. Migrants who previously had a safe place to charge phones, use the bathroom, eat a meal and arrange to head elsewhere in the U.S. were now left on the street as migrant aid groups scrambled to help out as best they could with makeshift arrangements. This is unprecedented and caused 100% by Biden. There is no other person that has caused this to happen. He wanted unfettered immigration across the Southern Border and he got and now he doesn't want it. Polls show that no one believes he is really trying to do anything after 3 years of inaction. They know it is all a political move near the election. No one is falling for the media excuses or the White House statements anymore. Talk about ruining the country. mspart
  7. That is a correct assumption I guess. But then it would be up to Wade to identify what building he was in, and remained stationary in overnight. To me this could get really ugly. If the accusation is true, they should just fess up rather than make this a huge issue and then face the consequences. I think there is ample evidence and reasonable suspicion that if Wade was in the vicinity multiple times and Fani was in the vicinity at those same times, it would not be unreasonable to conclude they were together. I agree that might not be the case, but the odds are very high that it is the case based on what we know about their relationship and actual testimony in the hearing from her former friend that the affair started before they said it did. Hoping against hope that what has been established as an affair, and that they were in the same proximity twenty some times before they said they were together, you are not in the strong logical position. I agree it could be Wade was visiting somewhere else, even overnight. But that would be highly unlikely given the nature of their affair and the testimony that said it started before they admit. The facts show they were in the same proximity. Now it will be up to them to admit, or for the lawyers to find people nearby that can identify them as together. The lawyers are probably already searching out those in proximity to her location to verify they were together. So they can admit it if it is true, or they should fight it if not true. And if not true, there won't be any corroborating witnesses. But at the risk of perjury, they will have to decide the next move. It is not looking good for them. mspart
  8. https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/4485060-trump-investigator-offers-cell-phone-data-casting-doubt-on-fani-willis-relationship-timeline/ Trump investigator offers cellphone data casting doubt on Fani Willis relationship timeline Special prosecutor Nathan Wade visited Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) at her condo at least 35 times prior to when they claim their relationship began, according to an analysis of cellphone data compiled by an investigator working with former President Trump’s legal team. The new document, filed Friday, raises questions about the veracity of Willis and Wade’s testimony regarding the timeline of their relationship. “So, if phone records were to reflect that you were making phone calls from the same location as the condo before Nov. 1 of 2021, and it was on multiple occasions, the phone records would be wrong?” Trump attorney Steve Sadow asked Wade last week. “If phone records reflected that, yes, sir. They’d be wrong,” Wade said. On Friday, Trump’s team filed with the court the report from its investigator, who said he used a tool called CellHawk to analyze Wade’s cellphone data for the first 11 months of 2021. Most of that window is before Wade’s contract to work for the district attorney’s office began, and it is entirely before when prosecutors claim their romance began. “This conservative analysis using the above referenced modality revealed a minimum of 35 occasions when Mr. Wade’s phone connected for an extended period to either one of those towers in closest proximity to the Dogwood address based upon associated data use, voice calls or text messages. The data reveals he is stationary and not in transit,” wrote Charles Mittelstadt, the investigator. I would say that the phone records are not wrong. They are facts and data. A cell tower doesn't pick you up if you are not there. And he apparently was there through the night, stationary as is said. Yep, perjury is now on the table for these guys. And to think this is all because of racism. No one forced them to commit adultery, no one forced them to hire or get hired for huge money, no one forced them to lie about the relationship. They did this on their own. They lied in the affidavit and then in personal testimony. The fact they did this is not racist. The fact this is being brought into the light of day is not racist. It is because they were stupid supposedly thinking they were above the law. mspart
  9. There is a huge difference between taking a loan, then not repaying it, and the GI Bill. Usually that gets your credit score in the tank for 7 years and sometimes in the pokey. The GI Bill is earned through years of service to the country. If it is offered and accepted when the recruit signs up, then the recruit can take advantage of it. Period. What part of a contract do you not understand? mspart

  12. Did you read the link I sent in that post? Comey laid out and I summarized for you, especially for you, what the evidence was and it was a lot. And I laid out his reasoning for not recommending prosecution. Facts and data prove you wrong. Hillary's is not a conspiracy theory. It is all there for everyone to see that can discern truth from error. And you don't argue that point. In fact you don't argue with anything other than tired tropes of of falsehoods that have been proven false, yet like Goebbels, you believe if you say them often enough people will start to believe. You are now arguing by attacking me and Comey personally which is the last gasp of a lost argument. Congratulations. You lost. And you did it by the leftist playbook which always gets it wrong. Try using reason, facts, data, and discernment in your arguments. They will enhance your ability to win arguments or at least you will avoid looking foolish while so engaged. mspart

  15. GI Bill is for military service. It compensates for the low pay they get. I have no problem with GI Bill. Loan forgiveness is nothing of the sort. You take a loan you pay it back. Period. mspart
  16. If they made good choices, they would have the money to pay for the loans. Is that not self evident in the aggregate? mspart
  17. Jonathan Turley says here what I have tried to say in past posts about the judicial system and the two tiered behemoth it has become. https://jonathanturley.org/2024/02/21/nothing-succeeds-like-excess-new-yorks-perverse-incentive-in-pricing-trump-out-of-an-appeal/#more-215973 Watching the celebrations probably caused many executives to check time shares in Florida. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has rushed to assure businesses that there is “nothing to worry about” after the corporate public execution of Trump and his company. But the best that politicians like Hochul and Adams can offer is that you have nothing to fear from confiscatory actions unless you are Trump in New York. Which is precisely why this decision should be overturned. What is clear is that this case would never have been brought, let alone result in this massive fine, except for politics. For example, if you are the NRA, James will seek your destruction for financial irregularities, but if you are Black Lives Matter or Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, there is little real risk in such controversies. If the only protection in New York is the discretion of figures like James, few businesses would relish the future. The message is that you can expect blind and equal justice so long as you don’t run afoul of the Democrats in power. If you are unpopular, you could be looking at not only unprecedented actions and fines, but a need to virtually liquidate your assets just to be able to appeal a decision. This should shock the conscience of anyone concerned about the integrity and fairness of the New York legal system. Confiscatory fines and required deposits leave not just defendants but the entire system bankrupt. This is what I am talking about. And this from an objective Democrat observer. mspart
  18. Student loan forgiveness is unfair to working individuals who took no loans or paid them back. Just because they made poor choices doesn't mean they shouldn't pay the loans back. I have kids who say they can't pay for college without loans. But these guys do not want to work 40 hours a week to make money to go to pay for school or reduce the amount of loan they would have to take. They want it handed to them. I have one that is still hammered by loans. But he has a good job now and can pay and he is. He would like loan forgiveness but I don't think he is eligible. mspart

  21. I do have a fireplace and lots of wood around me. I hope I will be fine. Actually I hope I'm long gone when and if this all comes down. I'd just rather not have to go through it. mspart
  22. They would find out and not be upset, they would adjust the terms of the loan to fit the situation. The banks are not in the business of losing money on loans. It does happen but they are careful. In Trump's case they verified asset worth and overall found it favorable and went ahead with the loan. But he was prosecuted anyway. And this is why businesses are very concerned in NY and why the governor felt the need to try to tamp those concerns down by saying they are not Trump so they will not be prosecuted. mspart
  23. Your first statement would be true if it were Conspiracy theory. Comey said it was not. Hillary's email server was a con against her? https://www.fbi.gov/news/press-releases/statement-by-fbi-director-james-b-comey-on-the-investigation-of-secretary-hillary-clinton2019s-use-of-a-personal-e-mail-system From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received. Eight of those chains contained information that was Top Secret at the time they were sent; 36 chains contained Secret information at the time; and eight contained Confidential information, which is the lowest level of classification. Separate from those, about 2,000 additional e-mails were “up-classified” to make them Confidential; the information in those had not been classified at the time the e-mails were sent. With respect to the thousands of e-mails we found that were not among those produced to State, agencies have concluded that three of those were classified at the time they were sent or received, one at the Secret level and two at the Confidential level. There were no additional Top Secret e-mails found. Finally, none of those we found have since been “up-classified.” There is no con. Hillary had emails that were classified in a server that was not on State Department property. Comey said so in his statement that, "Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case." So she broke the law, caught red handed, but they won't prosecute. That is what the above says. No conspiricy. No con. She did it and they didn't prosecute when they could have and had ample evidence to get a conviction. You mention DC servers were notoriously security conscious. This server was not in DC, but in fact was located remotely in Chappaqua, New York. So your statement shows ignorance of the situation. Colin Powell was at the beginning of email-dom so I give him a pass. By the time Hillary stepped up, there were laws in place governing the use of email by government employees. She worked around these and by credible sources exposed this data to foreign actors. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/07/us/hillary-clintons-email-was-probably-hacked-experts-say.html When the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said on Tuesday that his investigators had no “direct evidence” that Hillary Clinton’s email account had been “successfully hacked,” both private experts and federal investigators immediately understood his meaning: It very likely had been breached, but the intruders were far too skilled to leave evidence of their work. I think I have fairly shown that she was caught red handed with classified documents in her possession on her personal server when they should not have been on that server. She was most likely hacked by foreign actors per NYT reporting. All of this was acknowledged by Comey with his recommendation that she not be prosecuted. I have given you various sources here that should be credible to you. Now it was not a Conspiracy theory. She did it and didn't pay for it. We know Biden did it and won't pay for it. Trump did no worse and is paying for it. If looking at this objectively doesn't give you the idea that there is a two tiered system of justice, you will never think that and will continue to believe your consipiracy theories about conspiracy theories. And you will be proven wrong as you have been here. mspart
  24. Woke is broke. mspart
  25. Correct. And this trans discussion we are having as a nation is not about these individuals. It is about people thinking they can change their sex and have everyone else go along for the charade. Like men who say they are women going in women's bathrooms and changing rooms. Like men who say they are women who compete in women's sports. In Canada there is a 50 year old guy thinking he is female and swimming against 13 year old girls. And showering and dressing with them. I guess he is pretending he is a young teen girl as well. That has nothing to do with chromosomal issues as just brought up. That is a red herring argument to make and anyone who is intellectually honest does not go there. mspart
