  1. Can anyone look at that rickity gallows and think it is serious? Obviously it was not serious and that is why no one that has seen it brings it up anymore. It was a prop to hang a noose on. It would not support the weight of anyone on it. It looked real dangerous. mspart
  2. That was a good game. Ended wrong of course, but a very good game! mspart
  3. Well, I'm sure Trump secretly made sure this didn't happen even though he told his Secretary of Defense to make it happen. And the Secretary was unaware of this. Just another person that Trump scammed no doubt. mspart
  4. First they are there, then they aren't!! How can you have a quantum computer? it is there. you blink and it is not there. Crazy! mspart
  5. FSU should have been in. Unfortunately they lost a good portion of their players so they did not look good against Georgia. The Dawgs lost horribly. I am saddened by that. It should have been a more competitive game but wasn't. The Dawgs just couldn't get offense going. I do not like Mich but kudos to them for a great season. mspart
  6. The UWW site says Burroughs is registered for 74. But the list they provided did not have him. I noticed that Taz at 97kg is not entered. mspart
  7. Plasi, if you want to call this an insurrection go for it. I think the evidence clearly shows it was not. If you will not listen to explanations other than it was an insurrection, then so be it. But you still haven't answered any of the questions I have posed about it so I'm guessing you are: mspart
  8. Why couldn't they do more? They actually controlled nothing. They disrupted a count procedure. The count happened later so they obviously took over nothing. They did nothing by force or bloodshed. They stopped because they didn't really know why they were there and when asked to leave they said, ok and left. Insurrection is not the proper term for this. You don't have an insurrection when nobody has weapons. mspart
  9. To WR: There was a half hearted attempt to stop the count, yes. Definitely wrong and I can see charges for that and trespassing and nothing more. To your analogy, the capitol police (CP) held the door open for the folks going in. Yes, there is culpability on all sides of this, yet only one side is getting prosecuted. Shouldn't the CP who let the folks in be fired? Shouldn't there be an investigation of the one death on the day from a gun fired by a CP? Shouldn't there be an investigation on why threats were not forwarded appropriately? Shouldn't there be an investigation on why there were 200 FBI folks among the demonstrators? There are plenty of question for the other side of this equation that have not even been officially asked yet. Certainly there is blame on both sides of this. mspart
  10. Yes, way more difficult. Our first lab ran off July 3 due to fireworks. He never came back. We found out he got ran over on the big road at night. Being a Black Lab I'm sure they car never saw him. We finally found his body at an animal hospital frozen. We took him home and buried him. That was really a very very sad day. We were all crying about it. It was difficult. I put him in the hole and he wouldn't fit, he was a big American Lab. So I turned him over to the other side that none of us had seen. That is where he got hit by the car and it was not pretty. So I had to turn him back before anyone saw. I was successful at that. Very Very Sad for Lucky. We were lucky to have him. Smart as a whip, great dog. mspart
  11. No doubt about it. mspart
  12. The flame leaves people at different times. Perhaps the flame to be the best in the world doesn't burn brightly for him anymore. mspart
  13. Not sure what you are saying. You expect everyone to wrestleback if they lose? I'm thinking Lee, Gilman, Richards at the very least would not. Arujau I don't think will, as he has further NCAA competition to do as well as international aspirations and won't want to get injured. The others, may. I don't see Lee, Richards, or Gilman trying to get one of the 3 spots on the Olympic team if they lose. mspart
  14. With the apparent lack of ordnance, small arms, and organization, calling Jan 6 an insurrection is laughable. Calling it so does not make it so. If Trump is guilty of insurrection, then why is DOJ not charging him with that? Oh yeah, no evidence to pull that off. When was the last insurrection in a country not self described as a government takeover? When was the last insurrection acccomplished without weapons and explosives, fire and massive damage? An insurrection is a bloody revolutionary type action. Is that what happened on Jan 6? So insurrectionists leave after a couple of hours after being asked to vacate? I think it is apparent that an insurrection did not happen. Riot is a strong word but is probably applicable. Should people be prosecuted for trespass and the like? Yes. mspart
  15. Cute Labs. We had to put down our two black labs recently. They were brothers and died about a year apart. It pretty much broke the family. mspart
  16. These Olympic Trials will be epic no doubt. Just a killer. mspart
  17. I have met Eggum and he seems like a stand up dude. Granted he is not running the program like J Rob but J Rob wasn't runnning it like J Rob when he got relieved of duties. It would be nice for MN to make it back to the top echelons for sure. mspart
  18. I don't think Zane gets there again. I agree with de4856. I think they will be the two finalists for best 2 of 3. mspart
  19. I never knew that. Very interesting. I just looked it up and it is a thing. Very cool. mspart
  20. How would you then get a conference champion. mspart
  21. I have read where the first 4 games will be played at one team's home field and this is not a bowl game. After this there are 8 teams left 4 byes and 4 winners. The Next set of games are bowl games for 1/4 and semi. So yes, they will use the bowl system to carry out the bracket. The final will be toward the end of Jan. The semi will take place 2nd weekend of Jan. From https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2023-12-03/how-12-team-college-football-playoff-will-work-teams-schedule-bids 2024 quarterfinals: Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl 2024 semifinals: Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl Fiesta Bowl | Quarterfinals Dec. 31 Peach, Rose, Sugar Bowl | Quarterfinals Jan. 1 Orange Bowl | Semifinals Jan. 9 Cotton Bowl | Semifinals Jan. 10 Atlanta, GA | National Championship Jan. 20 I understand this and the article explains qualifiers but it seems disjointed to me. Thanks for the input everyone. mspart
  22. Pac-12 is now the Pac 2. Yes it is gone. SEC, ACC, B1G, Big12, that's 4 of six. Are there other conferences in the list? mspart
  23. OK, so how exactly does the new 12 team format work? mspart
