  1. This is a game many can play. George Stephanopolous, while interviewing Nancy Mace, said repeatedly that Trump was held liable for rape. He was not. I guess he must be a terrible person as well. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/found-liable-attack-trump-claims-e-jean-carroll-made-false-accusations-rcna142637 In May, a jury did not find Trump liable for the alleged rape but awarded Carroll $5 million after finding the former president liable for sexually abusing and defaming her. The jury deliberated and did not find Trump liable for rape, period. But that didn't stop George and ABC News from repeatedly stating this as the case. Yes, this happens on all sides and is no longer surprising. A news organization should be able to get it right but they didn't want to obviously. So George S is a terrible person. mspart
  2. Those glasses give him super unrecognizability a la Clark Kent. Amazing! mspart
  3. MSNBC probably will refuse to run it also. Morning Joe would spill piping hot coffee in his lap if they did. mspart
  4. I found this interesting. https://www.gbnews.com/politics/us/joe-biden-health-fears-white-house-employee-james-o-keefe A White House official has admitted that Joe Biden is "definitely slowing down" during an undercover investigation. Guerrilla journalist James O’Keefe unveiled the secret footage of the cybersecurity policy analyst at the White House suggesting that Vice President Kamala Harris is being kept on as Biden's 2024 running mate because of her sex and race. The secretly filmed video showed O’Keefe and Charlie Kraiger - who is also a Foreign Affairs desk officer - at a restaurant in the Washington DC earlier this month. Kraiger is heard discussing his concerns about Biden’s mental health before he adds: "I think they need to get rid of him or her [Kamala Harris]". He said: "But no one in modern history has ever said, like, ‘We’re not going to renominate the president for a second term'." When asked by O’Keefe if Biden will end up being the nominee, Kraiger replied: "Yes, and [Kamala Harris] will be the vice president nominee. "There was a debate about removing her from the ticket, but sadly they didn’t". He added: "She’s not popular, but you can’t remove the first black lady to be vice president from the presidential ticket. "Like what kind of message are you going to send to like African-American voters? "How would you spin that? People would be like what the f***? Like she’s a woman and she’s multiracial." When pressed about Biden suffering from what O’Keefe described as "dementia", Kraiger said: "He’s definitely slowing down". You can go below for the video. Not a good look!! It will be interesting to see how the Ds try to spin this if it gets any airplay whatsoever. mspart
  5. https://tippinsights.com/voters-see-double-standard-in-trump-charges-for-mishandling-classified-documents-i-i-tipp-poll/ Voters See Double Standard In Trump Charges For Mishandling Classified Documents: I&I/TIPP Poll ...Here's where it gets interesting. Among Democrats, 69% called Biden's treatment "lenient," while 27% disagreed. But only 50% of Republicans agreed, while 46% disagreed. Independents broke 53% agree, 39% disagree. A follow-up question asked "when comparing the handling of classified document cases, the Department of Justice has been," followed by three possible responses. "More lenient toward President Biden than to President Trump"; "More lenient toward President Trump than to President Biden;" and, "Not sure." The majority widened for the second question, with 62% answering that DOJ had been "more lenient" with Biden than with Trump, while only 24% said Trump had been treated with more leniency. Another 14% responded "not sure." Across all political parties, there was either a plurality or outright majority saying that DOJ had played favorites in how it charged the two likely candidates for president. For Democrats, it was 47% saying Biden's treatment was more lenient than Trump's, while 33% said Trump's treatment was more lenient. For Republicans, the same questions elicited 79% saying Biden got more lenient treatment, versus just 16% saying Trump did. Independents came in at 59% Biden and 21% Trump. In short, Americans focused on Hur's investigation of Biden's mishandling of classified documents are mostly convinced that the Department of Justice's efforts show a clear double standard when applying federal law in this case. This is very interesting info. The bolding and underlining is mine. In general the American people find that the DOJ shows a double standard in these two cases. That is not necessarily good for Trump, but it certainly is not a good thing for Biden as he is the one in power and it is his DOJ. mspart
  6. It always amazes me that someone can insist that evidence be presented yet never presents evidence of what he is saying. It is a double standard that is frequently employed by people that just like to argue and don't really want to understand a situation. When evidence is presented, they pivot and ask for more or different evidence and does not address what was presented. It is a classic obfuscation tactic. It is just a way to continue a pointless argument. Granted these boards will not cure all diseases or boil the ocean or come up with other solutions that elude most policy makers. But for the sake of our own understanding, it would be nice to have equally contributing partners in the discussion rather than some constantly wanting to sow discord. mspart
  7. I just saw a video of Crookham beating Vito for EIWA championship. It was a really good match, Vito got injured, but came back seemingly unfazed. Hopefully he will be ok. These two are monsters and it should be and excellent showing at Nationals. Very impressed with both. mspart
  8. There are no brackets that I've seen. There is a Wikipedia that has results but no brackets. Kind of weird really. mspart
  9. Haiti was never the pic on the left. Haiti has been a mess for a very long time. Now it is worse. mspart
  10. That's pretty funny. Great new tech being bailed out with old tech. But that happens in other areas just as often. mspart
  11. I can confirm the termites story. When we moved to Hawaii, we saw several houses in tents. Those were termite eradication tents. Whole houses enclosed. So when we bought, we had to decide if we would have termite people come once every 6 months or build a sidewalk around the house. Sidewalk had to be 3 feet wide to keep the ground by the house dry. Ground termites like moist dirt, not dry dirt. The sidewalks are apparently very good at deterring the ground termites. We poured the concrete. That was done and I had to put in some piping for the sprinkler system I as going to install at a later date. It all worked well. Most houses had the sidewalk, it is not something that is rare or anything. I thought it was funny because the house was not built of wood, but steel studs (formed sheet metal), but they didn't care. Got to protect from the ground termites. mspart
  12. Well, now they cannot rebuild for awhile because of the toxic debris from the fire. It doesn't sound like they are moving real fast to get that cleaned up. Getting real homes for the people doesn't seem to be a priority either as they are still in hotels. Hoteling is no fun. mspart
  13. OK, I found entries but no brackets. 14. Oh maybe so. It was on the UWW website. Shoot sorry for the excitement. mspart
  15. I'm not following. Thread says Lahaina fires were on purpose. For what purpose? To weed out those with bad roofs? That was a disaster and made worse by the mismanagement of the authorities on the island. I lived in Hawaii and have heard what happened and I believe the reports, total mismanagement. A lot of people don't like to live in Hawaii because the government is corrupt and ineffective. It doesn't run like it does in the 48. And it is different. But we enjoyed it, just didn't worry about that. What are you going to do? But I was not surprised by how the event was made worse by the actions of the authorities. I feel very badly for the people of Lahaina. They deserve better. Even now, there are tiny houses on the island that cannot be constructed because that takes years of red tape to get authorized. mspart
  16. I think we are all disappointed at not qualifying the weights. We have set up a system where the WTT/OTT is already finalized for those that medaled. They have no issue. It is for those weights that didn't qualify the weight at the WCs that is the issue. For 57, Zane finished way down. Lee did better but not good enough to qualify. There was a challenge and that was good. Nobody wanted to take out Zane, and only YD wanted to take out Lee and knocked his pecan for it. So there you go. I think US Nationals would have been a good place to incentivize everyone to participate with the winner being the guy for Pan Am qualifier. Right now there is not that incentive. The challenge didn't bring it out for some reason. I am just hoping whoever goes to the last chance finished top 3. I don't like waiting until the end like that. With our team as strong as it is now, it is just unthinkable that we couldn't get it done at Pan Ams. But Pan Ams arent what they used to be anymore. Much tougher. mspart
  17. He took silver at Yasar Dogu at 70. He still has some juice with him. mspart
  18. I hate everyone, enough to kill them, if they disagree with me. Just kidding. I love all y'all. mspart
  19. Well I was wrong. Biden lasted the whole time. He does always seem to be up for the big events. Good for him. He is now not quitting, but my predictions are pretty worthless as we now all know . mspart
  20. We had a decent contigent there. 61kg Nico Megaludis Bronze 65kg Joey McKenna Bronze 70kg James Green Silver 79kg Jordan Burroughs Gold, Chance Marsteller - Silver 97kg Kollin Moore Bronze Pretty good. mspart
  21. Zane lost in the first round. He lost to somebody who lost to somebody who lost to somebody that lost to Micic. Lee made it to the quarter finals. He lost to a guy who lost to a finalist. Neither did stellar. And neither did what was expected at Pan Am Qualifier. Would it have been wrong to make the US National Champ the guy? I agree a number of challenge matches is not necessarily good. But we have had a bad experience in 2021 Olys and now 2024 Olys preps. It points to a change in our system is needed. With being the rep on the line for the US National Champion, we would get a much more participated in US National tourney. I would think everyone would want to be there, at least in the weights that were not qualified. We should never go to Olys not fully qualified for MFS. Period. But we did in 2021 and are in danger of worse this year. mspart
