He’s looking for a team with a good law school

These are the top ten ranked law schools by US News, excluding Ivy schools which I believe have a lot of complications about transferring into from a sports perspective.

Stanford
Virginia
Duke
Michigan
Northwestern
North Carolina
Minnesota
Ohio State
Wisconsin
George Mason

UNC Law will at least have some precedent for a high level wrestler and law student - Kizhan Clarke who transferred there from American and had his best season ever with the Tarheels

They have money to spend just haven’t been able to land any top guys. They had AJ before that article came out , they made a bigger offer to Knox than Rutgers did. Crookham could get a nice payday and get into a great law school and he ll be the face of program plus Ramos as someone to wrestle with everyday

Is his plan to start Law School while competing? or wrestle there and begin law school once he has exhausted his eligibility? I will say Law School admissions will not be an easy process as their application cycles are already over, so unless he is in the schools already he would not be able to start as a law student in Fall 26. In general it will be especially difficult at a T14 as they will not accept students for athletic purposes so Crookham has to get in on his own (which he will at many places)

You're clock doesn't stop when unenroll from school. 2026 should've still counted unless there was a medical issue and he is getting a med redshirt or he joined the military, went on a mission, etc.

I don't know how much we can count on past rules when they seem to be written on swiss cheese with lots of holes and easily consumed by the courts. seems these days if they are wanted or not by a school, a judge can issue an injection or rule on the case in their favor which triggers a series of time consuming extensions. Find an alumni or sports fan supporting judge and you can get rolling on Monday. At this point I am assuming athletes are eligible until the appeal judge says no

Everyone keeps saying this but i disagree. The Pavia ruling was the only one that really changed some eligibility, and that was only for a year. It didn't last. There have been a few one-offs like Trinity Chambliss, but on a wide-scale, the rules for actual eligibility haven't changed. To my knowledge, no one has challenged the deferment/clock rule, so that could happen. Look at Alvarez last year. I'll maintain that Ruth is out of eligibility without special circumstances/waiver or the clock gets determined to be illegal.

Endene was 2x JUCO all American, 3x DIII National Champ (with a brief stop at Wisconsin), Iowa, and somewhere else. He will be eligible for Medicare by the time he is finished.

Would be a fantastic get for them, could use Endene as well. Walters has not looked remotely back to form, and it’s getting late early for him. Also always helps to have options and a strong room to train with.

If Crookham did go to U of M, curious how their lineup might shakeout, being he has 2 years left, and we assume he goes 133. Mendoza could be 133 or 141, so maybe those two fill those holes. Lemley 149. 157/174/184 all return young AA. Personally think 165 could use help, not sure Gilcher can completely get over the hump, and now working back from a late season injury. Maybe Wolbert 157 and Catrabone bumps up to 165? Not sure that benefits Cam at all, though. Can’t forget about Eren Sement, either. Bit of a log jam in the middle weights for U of M. I’m sure they run with Sahakian at HWT, unless they land a one-year transfer for him to spend another year of seasoning behind.

125 has been a glaring issue for Michigan on the recruiting trail, as well as in practice. Sotelo was fine, a massive upgrade from the hole the year before, but they really struggle to get competitive there. Horwath didn’t work out. Kind of sick of walking into the season with 1.5 obvious holes in the lineup, and then sacrificing the Botero’s of the world for the sake of not having anyone else. I guess that makes Aslikyan the floor, tho. Could probably use a year, but I’m trying not to get too picky after watching them run out 7-8 competitive contenders in a bunch of their duals with regularity.

Sorry for rambling and making a large reply solely about UMs roster, got carried away

Medicare may cover the treatment for cauliflower ear (auricular hematoma) if it is deemed medically necessary to treat an acute injury, prevent infection, or address functional hearing loss. However, if the procedure is purely to correct the cosmetic appearance of a hardened,, old deformity, it is generally not covered.

Maybe he wants some better weather and to experience that whole Pacific time zone thing and you get to watch a lot of sporting events earlier 😁

I think they bring in a 125 this year from the portal.  Watch out for Cam Rugg, class of 27'.  He'll be a career 125 and he's going to be a good one.  Henry out grows 125 in my opinion.

If they bring in Crookham, he slides in at 33.  If Mendoza can put on some size, he could be 41.  If not, Wolbert could slide in at 41.  I don't think Wolbert is big enough for 157.   If Crookham comes in, either Wolbert or Mendoza probably RS.  Or, Wolbert takes 149?!?!?!

Roll with the Cali RS freshman next year and see how he does.

Need to bring in a 97.  Walters is not the answer moving forward.

I mostly agree, I wasn’t sure about Wolbert but saw him listed as 150 somewhere, maybe Flo or something. Thought he was wrestling smaller than that this season tho. Could absolutely push Lemley, I think.  Weight gains can be crazy too, as evidenced by Brock. Hoping for some portal additions and being competitive with the likes of OSU/Nebraska next year

edited to add RE: 125, I liked Brady Roark and Ezekiel Witt this season, if they hit the portal I would be happy with either for the next few seasons. We shall see what the portal offers and what Bormet and co can get their hands on
