I thought he was a grey shirt meaning he was not enrolled in the university itself, but he was training with the club.  I have no inside info.  @BigRedFan ?

That answers my question about being enrolled. Now, wonder where he ends up. I forget who was in his top 3.

He is not enrolled (nobody at Spartan Combat RTC is enrolled at Cornell).  Nearly all committed wrestlers take a gap year and train at SCRTC; nearly all are subsequently accepted (if they had not been already) and enroll the next year.

I have no idea if that is real.  What I do know is that Knox Jr and Sr have a court date in early January wrt their criminal charges stemming from that melee at the wrestling tournament last year.  No idea if this is at all related. "Process" might mean "NIL" money.  Too bad for Cornell next year.

So PSU and Okst seem unlikely given who they have. Iowa has Deluca coming off of redshirt so I would assume Iowa state, Ohio state and Nebraska are front runners for the power teams. Rutgers feels like a possiblity too but if that were the case I think the minnow would have told us.

I would think Michigan and VT have to be in play. Feels like there is more here. The court issues may be an issue. On the other side, maybe Knox saw a fit at VT with Bassett, Miller, Seidel, Noah Burton and Sasso to think it was a better fit. No skin in the game…but VT would be my guess.

V-tech I would assume means he takes a RS next year if Eddie opts to come back. I think that would make him a 22 year old freshman. He is an unbelievably talented wrestler, and has looked good this year but the off the mat stuff has really out weighed what he has done on the mat this last year. That said I think Bo + Melvin + Knox on a team like V-tech would do enormous things for the sport itself from an overall viewership perspective.

125: Knox
133: Campbell
141: Seidel
149: Bassett
157: Miller
165: Burton

I believe 1995

Dave Icenhower headed up those camps.  The wrestling instructionals were high quality - and most importantly it had a lot of high quality schools there.  We had a tournament at the end which was a ton of fun.  Unforunately in my second year, I pinned myself with a spladle going in the 3rd/4th place match lol!

Schools I remember being there: Wall, Brick Memorial, St Marks (DE), Cinnaminson, Camden Catholic.  And I'm missing a ton of others.

I used to wrestle in their summer tournament in the 2000s, always very high level competition .I never cared much about summer results but was always proud of that bracket

😅 I can't say I remember a frisbee or bare feet exactly, but I'm fishing my memory and I can't rule it out either

interesting for Rutgers to go after Knox with his pending charges soon after some of their former wrestlers were  accused of running a mob-connected gambling ring

Rutgers feels like the easy answer. What is the Knox path? Rutgers feels below him with the options at VT or Michigan. There is more to the story. Why not feel out the NIL from other teams before Rutgers? He is a stud and could fill some 125 holes for a lot of teams. I wish him well.

Grain of salt but Minnow says he “wasn’t on the same page with the coaches.”

Maybe he didn’t want to be plagued by concussions?

We don’t know how much money Virginia Tech has left over after nabbing Bo and Miller and I’ve heard it was a combination of so so academics and the pending charges and Cornell didn’t want the headache so who knows if Michigan or Vtech want to deal with that drama either
