Am assuming if you want to fry everyone in the chain of command of an illegal order then you are also in favor of hanging any found to violate the UCMJ?

There is no question on the military refusing to follow an illegal order.    The question is why didn't Mark Kelly in his years in Congress make this same statement in the previous years of his congressional service if he was just concerned to make sure the military knew their obligations.   The question has an answer.   Kelly was not telling the military they didn't need to follow illegal orders.   He was telling them that he feels Trump's orders are illegal and they should too.   However, he will not say which orders are illegal to maintain his ability to say No Mea Culpa.

It is obvious what the insinuation was here.   There have been no illegal orders, then why put out the video?  To spread distrust and plant the seed that they should not follow presidential orders.   And that should be punishable.   But it won't because they did not explicitly say that Trump had given illegal orders and refuse to identify one.

I think that remains to be seen.  There are likely a few in the Pentagon who see it the same way you do.

Is it possible, like at all possible, that Kelly, who spent 25 years serving….honorably….before retiring as a senior officer and then having spent the last five years as a law maker, might know just a little bit more about these matters than you or me or anyone else on this board? And possibly that his experience, which is exponentially more than you or me or anyone else on this board, lends him to believe that Trump, who doesn’t exactly have a perfect record when it comes to the law, both before and during his presidency, has in fact presented some orders that are not legal and /or constitutional?  Does that cross your mind at all, with the notion of let’s see how this plays out since you nor anyone on this board will ever know all of what goes on and what’s said in those rooms.

Or is it just….he dare speak against the president and the guy on my social media said he’s a traitor, so he’s committing crimes.

The man has done more service to this country and the people in it, yourself included, than you could possibly ever fathom in your sick little brain.

As for your question, you already asked it, and I already answered, upon which predicting what the reactions would be, and I hit the nail right on the head.  So predictable.

Wipe your chin, and practice thinking for yourself for a change.

Yet you can't fathom that the lawmakers did what they did for no other reason than political theater and the "I hate Trump" rhetoric??

Or it is just...you clearly have TDS and "orange man bad"??

By the way, where did mspart, or anyone really, question Kelly's service record or knowledge of the military...I'll wait for you to produce that before you go into these tiresome lecture sessions on 'he's done more for this country..." b.s.

Your hypocrisy is on the level of RV's.  Your tiresome and lazy calls of "TDS" and "Orange Man Bad" (particularly given a number of occasions I have 'given credit' or had positive comments on some of our President's moves...just not the majority of them) show that that is all you have to offer, yet no context of your own, meanwhile.....you have nothing for those who are going to simply and blindly follow the President's calls and vilify anyone who dare disagree with his actions.  Just like you had nothing for those who jumped all over any decision made by the previous administration no matter what it was. (more of your hypocrisy) Much like many on this board, you need to learn to think for yourself, and you can spare us your standard disclaimer: "I don't even like the guy", since you clearly have disdain for anyone who doesn't.

Also much like others around here, your reading comprehension needs some work.   Context clues are a helpful tool.  In this example, I direct you to the lines where I stated "the notion of let's see how this plays out", and "since you or I or no one on this board knows what is said in those halls" which would lead the literate and logical person to realize the writer could possible fathom it was political theatre, but certainly not going to dive right into that pool just because the President said so.  Further....I never stated, or implied, mspart questioned Kelly's service record or knowledge of the military.  I simply pointed out his experience in the field is exponentially more than he or I or anyone on this board, and he continues to serve in the field as he has for half of his time here on Earth......so he may know a little more about this than any of us who's only information comes from our screens. And I question where Kelly should be punished.  For what, dare disagreeing with the President.  mspart even acknowledged Kelly feels there is some illegal stuff going down, and given that long lengthy record of service to the military and the law, maybe there's more substance to it than just your lazy "Orange Man bad".  I did however imply Cav's questioning of his service, given his response.

By the way....the "he's done more for this country" is not BS, it's the absolute truth.  The fact that you call it BS shows a lot more about you than you realize.

It shouldn’t be this difficult even for people who have no experience in the military to understand the disruption these saboteurs are trying to instigate.  The legal arm of the military is called the Judge Advocate General (JAG) and it has long advised that orders enjoy the presumption of legality.  That before you refuse one, you better consult a JAG Officer, because refusing a lawful order carries serious ramifications.

Picture this: An alert is called.  The troops scramble, orders are given to issue weapons and ammunition, or board the ship, or install the bombs and missiles on the planes.  The rumors swirl - “This is it, we’re going in.”  Oh, wait a minute, about half of the crew wants to meet with JAG to make sure these orders are lawful - congressionally approved.  At that point you don’t have an effectual, functioning military.  By the time it’s straightened out it’s too late.  People are dead, territory is taken, the enemy has set up defensive positions, augmented its forces.  It’s too late.  It’s going to cost a lot more to counter the situation and we need a new plan.

Try this strategy at work the next time you’re told to take a shortcut or perform some ethically vague task.  See how far that gets you when it comes back that the direction was approved.

If Kelly knows trump gave a specific illegal order why isn’t he saying what it is?  I mean a guy that’s done more for this country than 99% of us should want to do the right thing and save us from the king right ?

Soldiers need to be put on alert and warned. It's that simple. President is a corrupt p.o.s. and criminal.

Don't know and don't care. He's done plenty of other illegal things so let's warn the soldiers and make them accountable to the constitution.

He's also a sicko pedo. I'd think carefully about ANY order that came from that scumbag.

110%. He's done plenty of illegal things and is a 34 time convicted felon and pedo. Every order coming from that piece of scum needs to be scrutinized.

Can a Marine or boot camp recruit refuse to participate in the mud crawl or mud run as it is in violation of EPA natural vs man made ponding regulations?

Please cite the 34 times he was convicted.  Or if you can't do that just give us half a dozen times.
