Seems like some have this as Dake / Zahid.  I’m a bit surprised myself but I’d put this match upper mid pack for me.  Perhaps 3rd or 4th.

It is the brand new guys at senior level that have me most intrigued and curious.

I’m putting Vito / Jax as my main event.

Main event is Dake/Zahid, for sure, but I’m most interested in Duke/Yianni.

It seems like everything’s finally coming together after a few bumpy years for Yianni, and PJ is on a tear.

Carr/Mesenbrink should be the most fun to watch, but I’m expecting a blowout.

Great time to be a wrestling fan!

The main event of the card is 86

The best matchup is a tie between 61 and 74

The most exciting (read: shootout series with the most overall points) will probably be 79 or 92

The most awkward will be the first time Snyder comes out at 97

The biggest move will come from 125

The best highlights will come from 57, 61, and 86

If Vito is dialed in, healthy, and weight is in check then this will be a beat down

That was sort of my initial thought, but the year Vito won worlds he had two crazy ones with Nashon. I do not think current form Nashon is as good as he was 2 years ago but looking at common opponents that makes me think Jax may be able to hang with even peak Vito.

I was at that Final X and remember it differently.  Vito controlled match 1, gave up a late takedown.  Second match I think Vito came out the gate strong and then gave up a big move.  Other than that one sequence  Vito controlled the match.  Also I'm not big on using results from a common opponent to predict an outcome.  Nashon is strong and has a lot of horsepower.  Something Vito has struggled with.  Jax at this stage doesn't offer those problems

I don't care at all about 92, 97, and 125. Really looking forward to 86, 61, and 70, in that order (where 86 is the main event of the whole card, IMO).

You should keep an eye on 57. It will probably be a drubbing this year, but will be interesting to see. Lilledahl is the future and while I'm not saying Spencer Lee won't be the rep in 2028, I am saying he will be 29 years old with significant deteriorating injuries from opting out of surgeries prior and Father Time is ruthless at the light weights. We have been spoiled with our version of the Redeem Team seeing sustained so late into their careers for three/four quads (2012-2024) at any weight. That is the exception, not the norm for all but the most elite... and even they hit a sharp cliff.

There are many ways to look at how a match order should go...

- Aura/Prestige
- Poundage
- Potential Excitement
- Actual Excitement
- Points scored
- Theoretical Drama
- Actual Drama

Generally speaking Aura/Prestige is the criteria that will be looked at the most for match order.  There is no other option than Valencia - Dake at 86 KG, in that regards.  There just isn't.
- There are exceptions such as the POTUS intending to swoop in after the first match.

After that, Poundage is generally the one most used, because it has typically always been that way.  That puts us at Captain America Jr - Hilger at 125 KG as the final match.  I am oddly okay with it being this way.  I don't think it would be the final match of the day.  I still think that 86 KG will be the final match of the day, as the most likely scenario due to it being Best of Three (92 KG has a decent chance as well).

If we are talking Potential Excitement, we're looking at ending on Johnny D - Duke at 70 KG.  You have Brute Force Youth against the scrambling ability of Johnny D, who is up at 70 KG for only the second time ever (the first being the Open).  Duke, a HS Senior just beat the 149lb and 157lb NCAA Champions at WTT.  That's fckn nuts, guys.

If we are talking Actual Excitement, we're looking at Mesenbrink-Carr at 74 KG, despite it being a blow-out (expected by me), their matches are always fire.

If we are talking about Points Scored, I don't see a way we don't end at Vito - Jax at 61 KG.  This has 25.5 as a total match points Vegas line per match (I might have made that up).

If you were to look at Theoretical Drama, then Thiccclay-Barr at 92 KG should be the final match.  Barr has made a living this season on breaking people.  Thiccclay is unbreakable.  What if during Match 2, Thiccclay fades and Barr steals it?  That makes Match 3 EXTREMELY interesting.  Historically speaking there has been hours between Match 1 and Match 2, but they start the Match 3s immediately after the Match 2s complete.

If we are talking about Snyder... I mean Actual Drama, then it's Snyder - ZIllmer at 97 KG.

What I think is likely for matches going the Best of Three route, with the most likely at the top and least likely at the bottom.

86 KG
65 KG
92 KG
61 KG
70 KG
57 KG
79 KG
74 KG
125 KG
97 KG

65kg, real woods is looking real good.

Back to the ranking series against amouzad where he had a 1-0 lead at the break and lost 9-1 I worry that he is world class for about 4minutes I think he is our best bet to medal out of he and Mckenna but I worry that the top guys that have a motor will give him issues. Which mainly means the Indian,Japan and Iranian rep.
