Do you think he had a broken rib early?

Sometimes a direct angled knee strike can be more damaging than a glancing blow. To drop like that means he got hurt bad.

I was wondering if he was hurt bad in the first round? While he’s taking all those shots to the head in the second, it seems he might be worried about more knees to the rib cage?

Can someone who follows Mineo tell me if he criticized Bo for cornering a Japanese guy and celebrating when the Japanese guy beat American wrestler Spencer Lee?

Oh nationality doesn't count in exhibitions lmao. What a doofus. The Olympics is a contest among nations. The UFC, and virtually every other professional league, is not. It's common for people to have their favorite fighter be from a different nation. There will be a lot of Americans cheering for Tom Aspinall against Jon Jones if that fight ever happens.

But what if the Americans fighting were psu Americans.  That’s a twist for the blue colored army you’re not considering.

If it were two Americans fighting, I suppose I would have to abstain from spectating, unless my state joins one of the warring factions and drafts me into service.

Mineo knows a good deal of Iowa fans aren't bo Nickal fans and he gets his rocks off by trying to make them look bad, even if it means backing up PSU. He's a goof.

If they're both American, then you pick either Dem or republican. If there's no difference, move on to race. Then religion.

no its because he's a narcissistic dork and no one likes him. People don't feel the same way about Nolf, Retherford and others.

He has no charisma or comedic edge. Also not nearly as smart as he thinks he is.

MMA, like boxing, is run as prizefighting and not purely a sport. Very different from the tennises, badmitons, judos, or amateur wrestlings of the world.

There are perks to it (money), but also massive downsides and distractions like woven into the fabric corruption, the showmanship and show business aspects. It's a different mindset and skillset to thrive in something that's in some ways a giant popularity contest masquerading as a sport. In sportive systems, all you have to worry about is your athletic performance (at least in most individual sports, team sports have interpersonal politics with team selection). In prize fighting, you have to worry about how boring your style is perceived as and how many ppvs you sell.

I know, and he sucks at that aspect of the sport.

Actually, yes. They would be cheering for the PSU/NLWC dude over the American. As someone that has been to world's a few times, many USA "fans" go for their college team reps and not the USA rep. That's not to say they don't root for USA, but if it's USA vs Iowa or USA vs PSU, they would root for their team the majority of the time.

The same can be said of some other wrestlers in MMA; see Aaron Pico.

Awesome. So you picked a guy who didn't Wrestle in College...at all. Brilliant.

The unmitigated gall to demand that Iowa fans have to root for Bo Nickal in the UFC, lol.  I don't personally care, I only check in on MMA these days when a high level wrestler is going, but Bo spends a lot of time, up into the most recent wrestling season, talking sh!t about the Iowa program.  I wasn't rooting for him to lose (or win for that matter) but if a bunch of Iowa fans rooted against him...well he earned that.  And apparently he's running a "I'm better than you" heel persona, which has (from my reading of the Tweets last night) not endeared him to the pure MMA fans, either.
