Don't have to convince me of any of those, except Askey.  He has Junior eligibility this last season.

Yeah, I believe, not 100% certain but I believe he’s already told them he’s done.

Askey ain’t coming back, Vombaur would be much worse at 149 and isn’t going up, Flynn isn’t going up, and Riddle doesn’t beat out whiting.

Why do you think Flynn ain’t going up? I think we have a shot at Volk

I just don’t think he’s a 133. If we got Volk, and that’s a big “if” to me, and Flynn had to go up out of necessity I think he gets horsed.

In the year that people list as his redshirt year (21-22), Askey actually wrestled in one dual for App State.  Now could this be circumvented with the way the NCAA has relaxed enforcement...possibly, but all indications are he is done.  He was honored at Senior night and Eggum mentioned once in an interview that they might get him to stick around and wrestle for the RTC.

Askey looks huge at 157 I think he and Millard would be flipped

When you see the two drilling with each other, I though Millard had a noticeably bigger frame and maybe a little taller. Askey does have more upper body muscle development, though.

I'm not new and I'm not just "defending" Penn State.  I'm more interested in facts than hypotheticals and truth than conjecture.  I just think people should be more mindful of what they put out there especially if they are bismirching the integrity and character of coaches and wrestlers.

I do find it hard to believe that any program has deep enough nil pockets to afford $500k on any single wrestler. Wrestling isn't a high revenue sport and when is all said and done it probably costs more to run these programs with coaches, travel, scholarships than they generate in income for the universities. Do you guys really think that there are enough private citizens, businesses and boosters putting up that kind of cash to bring in 1-2 million dollars for nil?

NIL doesn’t come from the program itself. It’s from boosters. Like Bob Nichols who funds Iowa’s transfers.

How many times do we have to go over this? How much money a "program" has is based on how much boosters give. It's nothing more than semantics to separate the two. Iowa has money to spend because of Nichols, PSU has money to spend because of their boosters.. it's always been this way except now more money goes directly to athletes rather than to the program to spend on facilities, travel, etc.

Interesting, It was even an “extra match” in the last dual of the year against a guy from Presbyterian that was 1-10. Odd.

I know that the money doesn't come from the school and I know these programs have boosters but you so seem to think/know how much money is in the pot for each school.  Please tell me exactly the figure each of these schools is working with?

Before NIL you argue that programs were being directly benefited by this money, fine I'll agree, but now you're telling me that they are still supporting the programs and paying the athletes?  And to how much? Year after year?  I would just like proof of the vast sums of money you all talk about.

Yes, that was the potential loophole I had heard about, but don't know if it was ever pursued.

Vasquez doesn’t  have a spot. Figs I think stays.

For what its worth, Figs tweeted this week that he isn't going anywhere.

Not sure how Vasquez has been at ASU 5 years and gets hurt almost every year. I think he's finished one season. Is he even eligible for another year?

Figs was very vocal when guys jumped last year. Hope they get an AA to transfer in at 133 for him. Vasquez probably get a medical RS to wrestle next year.
