Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Like SVN against Lovett and a few moments of Davis v. Bouz, Lille was too quick and comfortable in wrestling in his opponent's favorite positions.  Possible that lessons are learned and will be overcome.   Seems PSU has some smart coaches?

From a very old clinic Dave Schultz gave: in a big match wrestle in your ties/positions and try to dictate the pace of the match.  This might be easier said than done for most.  Even the most accomplished NCAA wrestlers have to be aware of how hard Ohio State drills cradle set ups and finishes and plan to avoid.  Might be good for Lille to review some tape on Ramos, who also has some tricks.

I still expect LL to AA this year. But it’ll be 5th-8th place.

I...I can't even see him making it at this point. I think he's peaked and the best we're looking at is maybe he can find his way into that 9th place match at the B1Gs. How many qualifiers from the B1G at '25 this year?

I just don't see how you possibly come back from a match in which you got two first period TDs(nearly a 3rd) and then get cradled and pinned in the 2nd period. That'll likely haunt him the rest of his Collegiate career!

I mean Jimmy said he was still going to AA. Are you predicting he will be better than 5th at NCAAs? 🤔

A lot of people were saying he is gonna be a four timer and comparing him to spencer. Well he has two losses already to guys who were at the time I believe ranked 20 and 21. He has one very close win over a top ten ranked  Caleb smith.

Spencer also had two losses Freshman year but they were to a former champ (Nato) and all American Brewer. Spencer was also teching all americans.

I just can't see Lilledahl beating Ramos or Figs this year and believe his ceiling is 4th. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't all American this year.

I do think he has a bright future ahead, just not this year. He has been way over hyped this year.

Who was comparing Lilledahl to Spencer? Lilledahl is an exceptional talent, but I would put him much more in the strata of Megaludis than Spencer Lee. Both were unbelievable college wrestlers, but Spencer was on a different tier of expectations coming out of high school than Mega.

Wasn’t Lilledahl also a world champ or at least silver?  He still has a chance to win NCAA’s this year (along with like 10 other guys), which would put him with potential to get 4 titles and thus I don’t see the problem with comparing him to Spencer Lee.

If people expect every age level world champ to go on and dominate the way that Spencer Lee did in college.. those are very unfair expectations.

“Expecting” and “comparing” are 2 different things IMO

Bo Bassett is often compared to Spencer Lee too but I don’t think many people are “expecting” 3+ titles

This is what I was responding to..

Let’s see, he lost to a 5th year Sr in the last 20 seconds, and he got caught. Lots of wrestlers get caught all the time, Nickal, Brooks, Lee, ( those 3 only have 10 Natty’s among them). Anybody who was predicting a national championship are as blind as those who foresee a crash and burn. It’s all who wrestles the best in March.

That Lilledahl loss by cradle probably does him more good than harm.

This right here.  Getting decked on a big stage probably raises his placing at NCAA's this year.

He is as dominant as Spencer Lee was his freshmen year?

I’ll rephrase what I said.  Is he as dominant as Spencer Lee was in his fr year.  If you think lilledhal passes that eye test, as a fellow dead head, I want the blue psu pills you are smoking.

Spencer went tf tf fall tf 6-1 at NCAAs.   That’s what u see Lilledahl doing ?

according to wrestlestat lilledhalls best bonus victory is over #36 this year.     With decisions against #6,10,48,139,18,41

Are you on F'ing dope?!?  "blue psu pills."  :classic_dry:

For the delusion?  Yes.  The blue psu pills for the delusion.

You’re comparing spencer lee’s dominance vs Lilledhall.  He has a 9-3 decision against the 139th ranked guy in the nation with 3 point take downs and 4 point near falls.
