Poeta isn't going to land anyone from Bishop McCort anytime soon but everyone says he needs to keep the top recruits at home and last I checked... this is keeping the top recruits at home. He built the stairs to get out of the basement, now it's time to grow

I mean, they literally wore Illinois RTC singlets when they faced each other for the U17 spot. If Bo Basset has taught us anything it's that apparel matters 10x more than the out-of-state RTC you train at and the coach sitting in your corner for said big international matches.

David Taylor is not flying out to watch Jax unless he knows he's coming to Ok St.  Notably, Cael and Tom Ryan did not attend.

Correction - David Taylor is not flying out to watch Jax unless he feels he needs to do more recruiting to try and close the deal.

I was hoping he’d go back to his roots to UNC, but they didn’t even make the top 4

Them not being in it at the end is actually somewhat of a head scratcher.  Rob Koll does have history in producing super studs.  But some would argue it had more to do with his assistants at Cornell while he was fine dining with the boosters

PLEASE, PLEASE!

Can you imagine 125 to 141 going like this:  Munaretto, Raney, Raney?

Add that to Aaron Stewart, Wyatt Medlin and George Marinopoulos, as well as the guys who'll be Juniors and Seniors on that team, and you have trophy contender.

As for getting them on campus, I know the Raneys are big into Freestyle and Greco. I know Munaretto is big into Freestyle and very, very good at Greco. I don't know if he wants to pursue it in the future. Come train with a former Freestyle World Team member at your weight (who is now training Greco in Zane Richards), IRTC Freestyle and Greco guru Bryan Medlin and 2xAA and next NCAA Champion Lucas Byrd (who was on an age-level Greco World Team) and National Champion Jeremy Hunter.

I'm hearing they're as close to a lock to Univ. of ILL as you can get.

I would love it.

I think the Raneys being a package now that we have seen Forrest and Bassett are not would be the most valuable piece from this class. you are getting two guys that I think can push for titles but have a floor of probably 6 combined AA's. Iowa has a track record with twins including twin coaches so that may appeal.
