I know neither one of you would ever be able to do this but I wonder what your thoughts would be if you could remove your far-left glasses and think of this from a neutral and positive intent angle.  What if by the US rebuilding the area and investing in it, it could provide a safe home for all those Palestinians, provide jobs for them, a way to a better life in which doesn't have to worry about violence and having a terrorist organization in power, etc.??  Maybe this could be a good thing?

I don't know how the displaced Palestinians could afford luxury homes.  It would be a different class from the surrounding areas that move in.  It would have a positive impact in reducing violence in the area while displacing the OG.

As for you last sentence, again if one was to take the most negative viewpoint, I would tend to agree with you.   When I first read about this my first thought was what a great idea to rebuild it for the Palestinian people and to have our support to ensure there is no more violence in that area and everyone could live peacefully together.  But maybe that is just me and my rose-colored glasses.

Do you honestly think that Israel is going to let them back in after they’ve rebuilt it?

If Israel views the Palestinians as a security threat, why would they do that?

Israel is not shy about what they want. They want the land! They believe it is theirs! They will take as much of it as their backers in the West allow, just like they've been doing for the last 75 years. This stuff isn't a secret.

And all you idiots tried to say ethnic cleansing wasn't on the table when Israel invaded Gaza. Ethnic cleansing is the raison d'etre of the entire state.

Also, did anybody catch the potential slip when Trump said there were 1.7 or 1.8 million Palestinians to relocate? The population of Gaza pre-war was 2+ million. Did he just let the (open)secret slip that the real death toll is in the hundreds of thousands?

• 6:59 - 7:09: Here, he says, "The only reason, the Palestinians want to go back to Gaza is they have no alternative. It's right now, a demolition site."
• 7:27 - 7:32: He continues, "They instead can occupy all of a beautiful area with homes and safety and they can live out their lives in peace and Harmony instead of having to go back and do it again."

Trump says the area will be better for Palestinians, but not just for them.

• 38:13 - 38:25: He says, "I envision a world people living there. The world's people. I think you'll make that into an international unbelievable place. I think the potential and the Gaza Strip is unbelievable. and I think the entire world represent from all over the world will be there and they'll and they'll live there Palestinians also Palestinians will live there, Many people will live there..."
• 39:08 - 39:26: Trump reiterates, "destroyed that live there now can live in peace in a much better situation because they're living in hell. And those people will now be able to live in peace. We'll make sure that it's done. world class, it'll be wonderful for the people. Palestinians. Palestinians, mostly we're talking about..."

Trump also talks about the peace it will bring.

Its a tough one.  The world wants peace and this will bring it.  But what does Palestine want?  What about International Law?

They had the land.   They gave it in 2005 to the Gazans and left.   And the Gazans thanked them by hiring Hamas and firing rockets ever since.   They had it so your statement makes no sense.

I'm not sure if this is a good deal or a bad deal.   I'm not sure how the US can just go in and take over.   It is not Israels territory to give to the US.   It is Palestinian territory.   So I'm  not sure how this happens, and not sure if it would be a good thing or bad thing if it did. .

But what they have now is not working well for anyone.
