What if the 3 of us worked together, lured Hammer in, set the over/under, manipulated the Basset thread market, and Fly got his sig and soul back?  In turn, Fly you wire us $1mil cinnabucks each

For these moments (if any) we needed a cinnabon emoji 🙂

@ionel I think you're the best bait.  With the announcement tomorrow we should expect 15 more Basset threads plus whatever you guys think we should add to manipulate the betting market.

Should we have @Idaho on standby with legal help in case any issues with manipulating the betting market?

You know the Iowa fans are gonna say this and much worse if Bo chooses PSU...

I do not think they will because for a long time most (me included) had given it up for a lost cause.  It's only in the last two days or so that things suddenly changed.  The general tone has been "Bummer about Bo, but can we get Forrest and the Raneys?"  Now if Iowa gets none of those guys...there will be some caterwauling.

It's all about the Raneys. Them dudes are wild. Super exciting and there is two of them. I would much rather have them than Bo.

Bo brings a whole lot to the table beyond even his prodigious wrestling skill.  He's got two brothers who are big recruits and, whether many of the old guys on this forum want to admit, cache with the other wrestlers because of his social media presence. Or, as the young'uns say, "he's all rizzed up."

I think the Brands boys might have better results if they got rid of their old recruitment van. It's not a good look around High Schools.

So in my first serious non-sheeeeit post of the day, I do wonder if we will see more wrestlers (and athletes in general) reverse course from the junior high redshirt and instead follow the Bryce Harper path of GED -> JuCo (greyshirt) while collecting NIL, training at their committed RTC, and not counting against their D1 eligibility according to the courts -> D1 program

Nick, Joe and Matt Lee all did this.  They all skipped their senior year of HS to head to PSU to start training for a year before entering college.

And it only worked out for Nick.  Joe and Matt can't crack a starting lineup.

This is true, but what if he got his G.E.D. this spring ? He could be enrolled at the school of his choice in the fall. May depend on timeline and strategy for redshirting and the 2028 Olympic year. With the big dollars he could pay his own tuition and free up a scholarship for one of his friends to join him. So many variables. But I do agree, the odds of him staying put for his entire college career are slim.

So are you saying you think he may forego his senior year and start wrestling in college for the 2025-26 season?

Seems like a possibility IMO, I just brought this up in one of the other threads

Honestly Bo narrowed it down to these schools because he legit fits into the lineups. I'm not sure if long term his brother fits in at Penn State.

What weight is his brother projected as in college?

The actual one or the adopted one?  I'm sorry, I don't know the family dynamic as well as others.

I only know about the one referenced in another thread, and I didn't even know he existed until I read about him in the thread.

The adopted one is the far better one

Certainly a possibility, i'm sure.

I think it'll come down to when the $ starts pouring into his bank account. I'd assume the day he actually steps foot on the campus of his choosing. All the more enticing to get the bag early. I know if I have $1 mil+ a year staring me in the face, i'm ready to jump at it.

I would expect both Voinovich brothers in the mix at 149/157
