With Iowa hosting Ohio State on Saturday, let's talk about it.

My prediction.

125: McCrone dec Cruz (3-0 bucks)

133: Ayala dec Bouzakis (3-3)

141: Mendez techs Block (8-3 bucks)

149: Parco dec D'Emilio (8-6 bucks)

157: Sasso dec Estrada (11-6 bucks)

165: Caliendo major Gallagher (11-10 bucks)

174: Kharchla dec Kennedy (14-10 bucks)

184: Arnold dec Rogotzke (14-13 bucks)

197: Buchanon major Shumate (14-15 hawks)

285: Feldman dec Kueter (18-14 bucks win)

57 and 74 are the two toss-ups that will decide the dual if the rest goes to chalk.

I think those are pretty solid predictions. I think Sasso should be solidly favored over Estrada, but agree that 174 is toss up.

Rogotzke could blow the dual up with a YOLO throw, and I'm hoping he goes for it. I don't think he has much of a chance of beating Arnold in a match that goes the full seven minutes.

It appears your scoring is a bit off, though. Buchanan should pick up 4, not 2, to go from 13 to 17 (Iowa 17, tOSU 14) and Feldman should pick up 3, not 4, to get us to 17-17. Then it's down to tiebreakers.

Very reasonable picks although word is that Estrada, having used up his 5 freebies, will not be wrestling. Rampant speculation about the possible return of Jacori who I think Iowa might need to prevent a team loss

I have no idea what happened there. Thank you!

Ah completely forgot about that. But yeah, you'd think they'd have saved his last event for tOSU rather than Illinois if they weren't confident about Jacori's return.

I also think Bouzakis vs Ayala could be an interesting match if Nic actually creates exchanges unlike his matches with Byrd and Shawver.

Feldman majors Keuter

That's very possible. Keuter has been waiting for matches to come to him and I think that's a losing strategy for a super athletic guy like him. He needs to put himself in as many wrestling positions and exchanges as possible. And, Feldman has been looking pretty good, with Keuter not living up to his billing.

Na not happening.

Three offensive TDs, an escape, and a Keuter forced shot turned defensive TD against four Keuter escapes is a realistic outcome until proven otherwise.

Agree.  I’m picking Kueter to win in a bounce back

Kueter to win? Bounce back from what? Never beating a ranked wrestler other than Doucet last year? It's not a bounce back it's a massive springboard forward. I think Kueter will be a force next year, but nothing has pointed towards him having a chance against Feldman.

1) Carver

2) Feldman may be dealing with a lingering injury

3) If people think part of Kueter’s problem is giving up too much weight, he won’t be giving up as much vs Feldman

Looks like wrestlestat is picking him too

If you ever needed evidence to not trust wrestlestat, there ya go. Of all the weights, I would put Feldman as my fourth most confident pick behind Mendez, Caliendo, and Buchanon. I think Cruz, Bouzakis, D'Emilio, Estrada, Gallagher, Kennedy, and Rogotzke have a better chance of pulling an upset (based on my predictions) than Kueter. Bookmark this and I'll eat it if I'm wrong.

I’d still pick Feldman to place higher at NCAA’s right now, I mostly just think this could be a candidate for a Carvering

Torn rib cartilage is miserable but he's had a while to recover. If he does lose it makes him that much easier to pick in the end of year pools for cheap points just sayin

If Teemer is back, Buckeyes are gonna have a hard time winning. Kharchla over Patrick Kennedy does not seem likely to me either, but if the Buckeyes win at 157 and 174, then I think think the Buckeyes will win.

I think feldman is generally overrated. Like they know he's not top tier, but they want to pretend he's alone in another tier above everyone else, when in reality there are a handful of guys with a definite shot at beating him.

Kennedy is gonna beat Kharchla, I thought Turley was gonna take him out for a second.
