this is the most unsettling thing to happen in the US in my lifetime.

utterly disgusting.

not even interested in an inquiry?

If they're 'baseless' that would be proven. not to mention the fact that no one was even charged yet.

laws need to be changed so that a president can not preemptively pardon.

... or why not just preemptively pardon everybody forever ... wouldn't that be a wonderful world.

Are you suggesting that the Constitution is imperfect as written?

Well, there are ways to change it, as described in the same document.

Didn’t Biden just try to unilaterally add an amendment?

It was a rhetorical question, genius.

If you know that there is a process for this, why would you suggest that laws (plural) need to be made to address it?

Are rhetorical questions meant to be answered?

People who tolerate me on a daily basis . . . they are the real heroes.

this is 3rd world type crap. harmful. embarrassing.

Completely correct. At the very least, if a pardon is issued, it needs to come with the specific crimes that it covers (the actual statutes in federal law should be cited) and an admission of guilt by the person who accepts the pardon.

So could the Biden crime family assassinate the current or any future sitting President and be off the hook?

I don’t know if it will come to bear, but the person taking a pardon can be called to testify in the matter at hand, cannot invoke 5th Amendment rights, and if found to be perjuring themself, be subject to those charges.

Only for federal crimes committed prior to the issue of the pardon. Could still be tried by the states for past crimes or feds for future crimes.

Is that why Joe waited till the last day just in case they committed a new federal crime yesterday?

Zero evidence that he committed a crime. Biden basically pardoned everybody that Trump threatened to go after (even the jan 6 committee and the "biden crime family"). This would save them the expense of having to hire attorneys to defend against b.s accusations. For almost if not all these people, there's zero evidence of any crime, except bidens son.

So Joe just threw out blanket pardons because he is stupid?  Who would've thought?  🙄

Protection from astronomical legal fees associated with frivolous charges.
