How does Taylor feel about recruiting kids who get ejected from high profile tournaments for hitting a vape pen in the public restroom? Asking for a worlds training partner.

Are vape pens illegal?  I'd be happy if they were but are they currently?

For Illinois residents under 21 they most certainly are. That's something I vehemently disagree with because if you can vote or enlist then why not partake, but that's a different political debate.

You know who I'm talking about and what he was very specifically kicked out for. Ending up relocating to Stillwater to matriculate as a direct result. A coach can run his program however he chooses, but hypocrisy and rules for me but not for thee are wack.

Yes I know and he was something like the 4th Illinois kid John brought in that had "issues" and vaping not as bad as the others.  John did believe in 2nd chances but not 4th & 5th.

One dude I met claimed his wife said beer isn’t drinking.  He had to sleep on the couch if he drank whiskey.  I found that odd.

People in Wisconsin make jokes like that all the time

Did and saw nothing.  I only recall sexual assault, burglary etc.

I hope he does(or at least did).

He still did those things if he got sloppy drunk, but...if they(AJ and Anthony) did some of those things without Alcohol impacting their judgment, it just makes it that much worse.

Remember when a certain NCAA finalist was kicked out of ISU for inappropriate conduct, and found a new home at PSU? Remember when a freshman national champion got into some trouble and found his way (albeit briefly) to Iowa? If we're going to pretend like a kid hitting a vape pen while underage is the same as being arrested twice in a calendar year for intoxication related charges is the same, then yes, quite the hypocrisy.

That's a joke from...I can't remember the name, but the guy who makes all those Yellowstone shows, one of the new shows they make it on(and it's Tyler Sheridan and Landman is the name of the show).

...I was going to explain it, but I'll l just leave this here.

(Also, I don't know how people report their drinking, but I am very skeptical of the stats as Wisconsin had like 8 of the 10 drunkest Counties in the Country...now we drink here, but C'mon...tell me WV, Louisiana, Jersey, we're exponentially worse than those states? Our Drunk Driving laws are, but...well, anyway).

Late night Taco Bell runs pale in comparison. Again, I am calling out the hypocrisy for those who can't see it well enough. And I know for a fact the one I mentioned has not changed. It's fine! I actually support it! However, I do not support hypocrisy and Jimmy Johnson "I don't treat everyone the same" rule sets.

That is fair. I disagree with the Jimmy Johnson way as well.

The OP asked about a dry program.. so the question is.. are vapes wet?

If a kid does have a drinking problem I would hope the coach would help him solve the issue.  I feel like kicking a kid off the team would only exacerbate the problem.

If only solving addiction was so easy.

Re JJ: idk. treating each individual like an individual seems necessary, e.g. what's the use of making Ben Askren train like everyone else? Re lifestyle choices: What about a multiple x AA  who uses Zyn or dips? Vapes? Delta 8 or whatever? What about one with a med marijuana card? What about one who smokes weed in the off season? What about etc. Slippery slope and all. Problem is that the the staff will try to keep the special treatment under wraps, but it always gets out. Then the staff gets dragged for hypocricy and it crushes team morale.
