That's the point, there's literally no way to verify it.  It's just "trust Elon!", a man with an obvious, huge conflict of interest.

I think you’re just afraid he’s gonna cut lefty lefty programs.

someone finally wants to cut gov fat…. And there is an issue with it somehow.

You ask questions, I directly answer them, you choose to believe something totally unrelated that I never said.  Again, the internet in a nutshell.

That doesn't answer the question.   Is cutting no fat better than cutting fat?

Again, I'm being asked to just assume that whatever Elon, a man with no governmental experience, says is fat is fat, and directly, the answer is "not necessarily, if the other related effects are even worse."

That's the point most of you refuse to acknowledge, rarely is the answer with something as complicated as government a black and white thing with a silver bullet answer.

So doing nothing is preferable to doing something?  I think your issue is with Trump and who he chooses, not with the effort itself.   But if it is with the effort itself, it wouldn't matter who is doing this as far as you are concerned.

I have already said, multiple times, the issue is with who he's tapping and the method of execution.  There is already an office whose role it is to do these things, he could add muscle and teeth to their operation, but instead he has to do the big, showy, and inherently inefficient thing of creating a whole new office.

Well for a 100+ years we've been asked to just assume that whatever some bureaucrat with no real world or business experience says they need for funding is true, realizing all they know is more tax payer dollars is better.

How refreshing it should be to have someone who understands efficiency and can easily recognize where the fat is.

if you're losing your ***ducking** mind over an attempt to identify and curtail massive amounts of taxpayer money that gets wasted by bureaucracy you've been indoctrinated.

frankly it's one of the more important things that need to be done in DC and frankly, i won't take anyone who says differently as a serious person going forward.

you're a joke and a clown and in denial b/c you're married to your party.

Yeah I'm sure his dad didn't help them at all. 🙄 Or if he had not succeeded he couldn't have gone home and lived relatively well. You probably believe that Trump built himself up with just a million dollar loan from his dad too.

Nope and these people's situations are not close to the same.

Sounds like somebody will be using the genetic fallacy going forward.  Love you, boo bear.

What a self-damning statement from the GAO.

Quote

GAO’s report recommendations have the potential to save taxpayers billions of dollars and greatly improve government operations. About 60% of all new reports make recommendations, and we have found that about 75% of our past recommendations are implemented over a four year period.

Yet nobody on the streets know you exist and anybody can identify waste in the Government.

I asked you to propose someone.  You’re asking for a utopia that doesn’t exist imo.

But is the single most conflicted person the right one to do it?

Drowning in data, but thirsting for knowledge

Utopia is "don't put a person with huge, billion dollar conflicts of interest in charge of an area that he directly benefits from."  Staggering stuff.

Name someone who you would like to do this ?  Who would be qualified for this role in your opinion?

The office that is already in place does not seem to be doing a very good job. Matter of fact they are doing a piss poor job. Trying to cut back on government programs is going to be met with a great deal of resistance. It might take an Army to pull their funds from their cold dead hands.

Would like to, or do I think is reasonable in the context of Trump is president?  I'll take the second one.  How about Mitch Daniels or Mara MacGuineas?

I would say yes. It is estimated that there is over ! trillion dollars of Waste and fraud in the federal government right now. I'm not sure if that includes the billions of dollars of redundancy in many of the programs. I believe there is quite a bit of federal overlap with State and local programs also. A little reform wouldn't hurt.

why are Elon and Vivek 'conflicted' ?

Because they are smart and know how identify problems and solve problems. In real business it is mandatory if want to be successful.
