She just won the gold medal but is not on a college roster.  She would obviously get a full scholarship to the Iowa Lady Hawkeyes.  Any reason why she isn't wrestling on the NCAA level too?

probably because she won a senior world title before she graduated high school in the same style she would wrestle in college and she would have to attend class which may not be something she is interested in.

But she could get a free college degree using her skills.   Certainly worth something, even as a gold medalist.

If she went to Iowa would Clark and Lee have to return their Goat of Goats awards?

Bigger questions are:  1)  Would Amit have her own page on the Hawkeye wrestling website?  2)  Would she jump Spencer in the AD-in-waiting rankings?

Craig Henning got screwed in the 2007 NCAA Finals.

She can go to college later on. I would imagine she is able to earn some money through endorsements etc from her recent success. Why go to college now when she is arguably the P4P in women’s wrestling? Even if she gets injured at some point, it probably makes more sense to pursue international results as opposed to a scholarship to college.

No doubt she will bump Spencer off the AD-in-waiting, reports are Lee was seen googling Iowa Truck Driver Schools.   The only question is will Amit allow Hawkeye wrestling their own page on the Elor website?

With pay to play now a thing it makes sense to consider college if the right offer comes along. In softball the most dominant pitcher just got paid $1 million to transfer. And with NIL she can also still do endorsements.

Yup, I imagine Iowa would offer her more than $1 million in NIL to become a Lady Hawkeye.

I am not sure if Iowa would the ones. They are already the prohibitive favorite to win the title every year. Perhaps an underdog with a rich, interested alum would step up. But I know so little about women's college wrestling that I have no idea who that would or could be.

Iowa is the only game in town and Nichols has deep pockets.  Offer her $2 million and I'm sure she will be in black and gold next year.

You miss the point (which I believe is intentional with you) while also making the point. If Iowa is the only game in town they do not have to offer her money. It is the others that do.

Iowa might work but she would need an Ironclad guarantee that AJ will NOT be on campus for anything, ever.

They mentioned on the OTA broadcast that she's currently enrolled at Diablo Valley JC and wants to stay in the Bay Area. Would love to see Elor transfer to Stanford and get things going there. Maybe pull Adeline back over. It won't happen with all the conference realignment and other BS the athletic dept is dealing with, but one can dream.

She can enroll in a full time schedule, work a full class load and follow the college team training and competition schedule, to compete with a group that have absolutely no business being on the mat with her.

Or she can earn a degree at whatever pace she feels like while continuing to focus on her solo career, with the money she is banking from her competition earnings and endorsement deals.

Will this even come close to what she could potentially earn through NIL? Genuinely asking, although I'm not sure anyone really knows.

Totally agree with your other points

I am doing nothing more than just guessing, but yes I believe she can match in endorsement deals whatever she would get from an NIL collective.   Money is not going to be an issue, she is going to be just fine either way.

Let's be realistic - the average American still has no idea who she is.  I doubt you're going to see her doing many national endorsements and getting any significant come.  Men's wrestling is a niche sport and women's wrestling is probably 1/100 of what men's is in this country.

With Blaydes and Welker there, does it make any sense. Amit Elor is only 20 years old. How likely is it that she goes 68kg in 2028, or even in 2025?

Has anyone ever heard the stories of Jordan intentionally destroying Clyde Drexler while practicing for the Dream Team to assert his dominance like godzilla?

I figured with her BJJ background and ties to Sara McMann she'd go the Cejudo route after Paris. Probably more upside in terms of revenue opportunities and having a next big challenge to tackle. Hope I'm wrong, though. I wanna see Elor around for a few more cycles, at least.

1/100th of mens wrestling and nobody knows who she is.  So please by all means giver her 2 million dollars. Dipshit

She is the face of the fastest growing sports in the United States. A sport that not only allows for Olympic opportunities but now also college scholarships opportunities. And the United States team has already cemented their best Olympics ever, with four more athletes to go.

People who have jobs studying trends because marketing contracts depend on trends take notice of these kinds of things.  She will have enough revenue to focus on her international career and her pace course work, if she so chooses.
