So Jersey Robb at 197lbs for OSU?

Does Plott go 197 and Thompson not use his Redshirt?

How do you see Oregon State's lineup playing out at this point?

Do we see Munoz go 197 w/ a Redshirt from Rademacher?

Seems to be a trio of 174lb seniors that likely want to see action in incumbent starter Olguin, incoming transfer Harman, and spot starter Reiniche?  You also have late starter Fouret at 165lbs?

With Munoz going 202 at U23 you have to wonder if that’s the plan.  If so it’s most likely Fouret - Olguin - Harman - Munoz and Attao.

If he goes 184 then it will be olguin - Harman - Munoz, JRad and Attao.

I’m leaning toward the first scenario.

Id probably take Surber over Robb, or perhaps Merill makes the cut for one year.

does this mean Carroll loses eligibility for this year?

What is Iowa State up to for next year?  Echemendia said he was going up and he didn't know how many weight classes.  They have a serious logjam in the 149/157 area, then.

125 - Terukina

133 - Frost

141 - Frost

149 - Swiderski/Johnson/Echemendia

157 - Chittum

165 -

174 - Gaitan

184 - Broderson

197 -

285 - Bastida

Does Chittum go up?  Does Johnson go 165?  Echemendia 157?  Chittum redshirt?  Swiderski redshirt?  Swiderski to 165?  I would have to think they are in the running for a transfer (or two) as well in the 165-197 range.

I don't know if he can or can't move up, but chittum is a guy who has to cut real weight, really well to make his style work.

Also, clock apparently started with the DT hire, not the Smith retirement.

couple updates to wrestlestat lineups:

Levi Haines listed as started at 174 with Mesenbrink at 165 again and Kasak up to 157.

Luke Stanich on RS with Sheldon Seymour off redshirt and sliding back into starter at 125 while Stanich grows into 141 (or Crookham does)

Rylan Rogers down to 174 from 197

Evan Bockman listed at 184

Jack Maida back up to 133 for American with the ferocious Max Leete taking a senior year redshirt

Isaac Trumble at HWT with Trephan riding the pine and relative unknown Christian Knopp starting at 197 for NCST

I thought Dylan Fishback was moving up to 197.

125 - McCrone/Kilkeary/ can ben davino make 125?
133 - Bouzakis/Ben davino
141 - Mendez
149 - D'Emilio/Brandon cannon/
157 -Gallagher/Wilcox/D'Emilio/Ethan Birnden
165 - Hepner/Gallagher
174 - Welsh/Kharchla
184 - Rogotzke/Shumate
197 - Geog
285 - Feldman

depending on what davino can do and how cannon continues to develop (really good red shirt season) I think this is a strong second place contender.

Three key injuries or illness hitting Penn State and you have The Ohio State University going for #1.

given Sammy confirming he will be back in a Ohio State singlet next year

125: Kilkeary/McCrone/Sucked out Davino

133: Bouzakis/Davino

141: Mendez

149: D'emilio/Cannon

157: Sasso (he looked beefy In his post)

165: Paddy/Hepner

174: Welsh

184: Rogotzke

197: Geog

285: Feldman

This is a pretty mean team if Sammy is 85% of what he was

I'd think if Sammy isn't able to compete we'll see Desselle and Shaw battling it out for this spot. Shaw did get the W last year with a td coming in the final seconds of the 7/8 match at Beast of the East but it was Landon's first time competing since tearing his acl the year before.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for these practices.

I think Jesse probably for sure goes 141 next year, if they get blaze, he probably goes 149 next year. I think Cannon can be a stud so I would slot him at 149 this year. I still sort hope they RS Mendez if they get Blaze but with the possibility of Sammy back, they should roll out their best lineup possible this year. Which I guess thinking about it would include Davino so maybe Jesse at 149 is the best fit. I am holding out a small glimmer of hope that Davino can get down to 125 but it seems very unlikely.

I think you see Kharchla at 174 and Welsh up to 184 next season. Rogotzke RS.

He was enormous at 141.  He probably is 149 this year, but if Jesse is there--he will probably look to 157 and he has the size to do it.  He was just 70 kg for U23.  And he was still very lean and big I thought.  But I think Jesse stays down at 141.

he did wrestle at 70 kg for u23's but he was definitely small, I think 149 is a great spot for him this season.

I'm not sure that Kharchla is coming back unless he announced he was.

I think with social media these days people are more inclined to announce they are NOT coming back and thanking their school, etc. as opposed to just returning when known eligibility is left. Not all wrestlers generate posts like Starocci.
