Interesting theory.   Mine is that leftism/socialism has been taught in schools over the years to the point where most coming out of HS and college are filled with conservative bad, lefty good messages.   And by the man in the street interviews, they don't know much else.   But lead paint and leaded gasoline might have something to do with it.

Personally I go with the crazy uncle theory.  More and more families have crazy uncles.  They show up at Thanksgiving and bestow crazy left wing ideas and hoaxes on their nieces & nephews every year.  🤷‍♀️

And these crazy uncles live longer and have access to things like Twitter to easily spread false hope.

Its really hard to remember Eric.  This is why you name your sons Donald Jr and Donald Jr Too.

Who says he could remember the other two? He had to read their names off a card.

I was conservative in H.S. through graduate school. Then I realized that a lot of what I believed was just propaganda B.S. from hacks like Rush Limbaugh. The right is filled w/ moral cowards.

The dumber political dipshits become. The dumber their R v D statements are. They go hand in hand.

What is 'leftism' and how do you describe the 'socialism' taught in classes today?

Could it be that the 'conservatives' that people see today on tv and the like, may or may not represent the tenants of Conservatism as you see it but are the loudest and get the most attention. Often times its for a negative reason or spun that way.

With that being said, what are the positive tenants of conservatism that we could look to as beneficial for the future?

Theory of wooden shoes climbing the stairs and silk slippers coming down.

Its a tricky balance to find.

I do not disagree.

A similar thing happens to just about everyone in every walk of life. They find themselves in a situation that pays the bills. Maybe brings a little notoriety. Being a big fish in a tiny pond isn't nothing to most people. If they can grow and grow the pond that feeling grows too. Then you're Rush or Alex Jones and you've gone off the rails years ago and are too far gone to turn back. Then you owe $1.5B in a defamation case or your pillow company has collapsed under the weight of your idiocy and the fear of starting at zero is too big an idea to even comprehend.

Sunken cost is cruel mistress.

*Psycho babble alert*

Its not courageous to laugh at this or think its an insult. This person is more courageous, doing this, than you are thinking its bad or wrong.

PS. chances are some people that laugh along with you at this, deep down, wish they had the courage to dress this way. Even just a little bit.

In the mean time, keep wearing black shoes with your blue shirts.

While dress codes exist for a reason (respect), this casual style is a great use of personal choice.  It's not how they dress, its the stereotype of how people who dress this particular way behave.
