Jamil Kelly was apparently just not an all time level in college as he never even made AA status

If we are talking about the greatest international career w/o an NCAA title, Kevin Jackson deserve a mention as well:

  • 2X World Gold
  • 1X Olympic Gold
  • 2X NCAA 3rd
  • 1X NCAA 2nd

Just me personally...but my two favorite to never win an NCAA title are Dylan Ness of Minn and Ian Miller of Kent St. To me they're the most entertaining wrestlers to never win it all.

There is no answer besides Jackson. 3 global titles signs, seals, and delivers the answer to this question.

Not as impressive as Jackson, but from same era Zeke Jones is another guy who never won NCAA but had international success. World gold and bronze plus Olympic silver.

Bobby was, unfortunately,  too small for 118.

Back then, they had 2.5 hours to weighin and you could get on the scale as much as you wanted within the timeline.

Bobby was very close with Coach Leeman (the two would talk through practice it seemed).

One year going to Navy, he got on the scale and was a little over. He ran out to Leeman with a big smile- "Coach! I'm a quarter over!". It was the first time.

Gerry Abas is another that doesn’t get mentioned too often. 3 time finalist losing to two greats in McIlravy and Fried.

How are you basing this question though? There are obvious examples of guys who didnt win a title that later went on the have great international success after college, but then youre factoring in improvements and abiltiies they may not have had when in college.

Imo to answer this question fairly you would ONLY include accomploshments that took place up until graduation.
