With Garrett Joles being ranked at 197, it seems the Gophers have 0 plan at Hwt. Joles did decent there last year and the Gophers probably would do decent wrestling Gavin Nelson right away at 197. Bennett Tabor has proven to not stay healthy. No other HWT on the roster for the future, only Gabe Nagle at 197 as another option, no effort in the transfer portal for another body. He’s gotta be coming back 2nd semester or they really think high on Tabor

Tabor will go Hwt. He just hasn't put on the weight yet that they expected, but still wrestles the big guys well.

What big guys well? They have no other hwts in the room, he didn’t wrestle a match last year and was 7-7 2 years ago. He was a good recruit but a lot of Simley guys have came in as close to finished products with less upside because Short is a amazing coach

Is this really a "conspiracy?"

Or would it be more of a "theory?"

It is amazing the confusion around these terms.

Never trust pro wrestling sites. None of them actually know what’s going on. One “reported” he was out and two days later, Gable is on TV. Trust that Obsessed Wrestler page even less …

Aye.  Minnow has shown more accuracy the last several years than that guy.

Ya I mostly take that stuff with a grain of salt.

Hayden Zillmer and Trent Hillger are pretty good heavyweight training partners for Tabor. Along with an occasional Tony Nelson and Michael Kroells sighting.

But yes the Gophers have to remain healthy at heavyweight as well as a few others as they don’t have the same depth they had last year.

Talking to Joles at the open practice it was too hard to keep weight on for heavyweight so he felt his best weight was 197. So as long as he wins the spot I believe that’s his plan.

I was talking mainly high school when he won a hwt. state title weighing around 210. I believe cutting to 197 his first year set him back and then missing the whole season last year to injury.  He did have a freestyle win over Hayden Copass shortly after moving to Hwt, who's no world beater, but very big.

lol this is exactly what I thought this was about, “dang what did brands do?!”

Explains why he wasn't at the Cal Bap dual.

He must have really enjoyed all the attention and adoration he received on his farewell tour in 2022.

All the other Heavyweights just said "ah sh*t!"
