Really wish we coulda got to see him vs. Sasso.  Doesn’t sound like that will happen now.

Sasso will be at 157. At least to start the season.

Could Shapiro be the first true-freshman preseason #1? I don't think the rankers would be quite THAT bold.

Maybe something like: SVN, Parco, Mauller, SHAPIRO?

Ridge Lovett is probably preseason #1 if Sasso is moving up.

Love it that you assisted me there as I completely forgot about him. Need coffee.

I think Shapiro can beat any of those guys. He is really, really good.

As a Buckeye fan:

Feldman - AA 8-6

Bouzakis - AA 8-6

Hepner - R16-R12

Shumate/Rogotzke/Geog(probably 197) - NQ but not enough information to make a good prediction

Kilkeary/Gonzales - NQ

Not a chance he is preseason #1, weight has a lot of returning talent , Lovett (ncaa finalist) SVN (returning 3rd and took yianni down to the wire) , Parco (3x AA) , Maueller 3x AA , Henson (AA) , Abas (AA) ,Possibly moving up is 2022 AA CJ Composto who RS last year,   and who knows if Paneiro Johnson will be eligible …so no way you can have him 1 with all that returning talent, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s top 3 by the end of the year though

What about Gilcher at Michigan—is he another 149 true freshman that could get the starting nod?

I would bet a few shekels that Austin Gomez makes his way into the Michigan lineup this season.

Yet another that, in my mind, seems like this is his tenth season.

Shapiro won't be ranked to start the season. True freshman never get ranked.

That being said, anyone who has watched him would put him Top 3 at least, likely finalist, possible champ.

Flo has him ranked at #24 right now

Ryan said that Feldman has looked fantastic and is fully healthy. I believe he said Feldman was around 240.  Excited to see Bouzakis. Hepner/Paddy, someone gets left out.  I want Shumate at 84 and Geog at 97. No offense to Hoffman and Geog will have to beat him and wrestle well to keep the spot.  I believe Gonzales gets the spot and Kilkeary takes a RS.  I think all the freshman RS. Who knows...

Go Bucks!

Any chance we see Hoffman Grad transfer?

I believe he stays and wrestles off against Geog.  Don't know who wins that and not certain if the winner even gets the spot.  I'm just ready for Geog to go.

Same, I think Geog matches up well against Hoffman if they were to wrestle off.

Ryan did say Feldman weighs 240 and is physically stronger and faster than when he showed up on campus. I am very excited to see him wrestle again a very tough heavyweight field.

I am with you on 197.

We do not have enough info on Rogotzke to tell how he compares to Shumate. I think Rogotzke was a bigger recruit on the Big Board(I think), but he is a freshman so we will see.
