I feel like this match is your basic stone cold lock  to happen and I can't wait. I'm going to call this one for Dean Hamiti. I will probably be dead wrong but Hamiti is flying high and really confident. O'Toole has been knocked down a peg by Carr. Calling Hamiti in a high scoring 1 point match.

I see this match being somewhat of a repeat from the All Star Classic.  Maybe a little closer but same result

I am probably wrong but I like making one pick that is at least a reach to give me some rooting interest. O'Toole did school Hamiti that match. I think Hamiti looks a lot better lately and O'Toole not as invincible. Keegan will probably school my pick here, but YOLO.

this feels like a match where one guy is wrestling a better version of himself and it ends up being one sided. that's what we saw the first time.

Kinda like when Sasso wrestle Yianni.  Sasso's scrambles, that seem to work so well against everyone else, tend to fall short.

As a big badger fan, will very much be pulling for Hamiti, but I think O’Toole is the favorite here. I actually think Hamiti’s style presents more problems for Carr and could see him having a better chance in that match (if it happens).

Yes, spot on.  Hamiti has a legitimate shot against Carr but against O'Toole it's stylistically a bad matchup for him.

I like both wrestlers a lot. Wish they could each win a natty. But, for chaos sake, give me Ham&Cheese

Mr. PeanutButter, I am shocked!  😲

O'Toole is just a bigger, faster, stronger version of the Hamiti.

March Hamiti is not the same wrestler as December Hamiti.

I want KOT to win the weight but think the odds are not in his favor. Mentioned this in another thread, but O'Toole said that Carr's reach and length gave him problems. Hamiti will game plan for that accordingly.

Not worried about O'Toole at all, he is wrestling fine.  He just hasn't been able to figure out Carr yet.  He did make some adjustments after Carr's convincing initial win, and you could have flipped a coin in their second match.  A lot of people (myself included) think he could have won that match had he been correctly awarded the takedown in regulation.  (that of course is just my homer opinion though).

Hamiti has become my favorite wrestler to watch.  Watching him wrestle is like watching Ali.  Floating like a butterfly stinging like a bee.  I've already labeled some of his opponents - Kennedy the dangerous plodder is Frazier, Amine is Chuvalo, Carr is Ken Norton, O'Toole is George Foreman.  I not sure where to put my homer favorite Facundo.  Maybe Larry Holmes.

Big, fast, and strong is not KOT.

True, but you don't have to be all that big, fast, or strong to be bigger, faster, and stronger than Hamiti. Neither of these guys are near the top of the list in any of those three categories at 165. Hamiti wins the lankiest category, though.

I certainly think Hamiti will wrestle a better match than he did in the All-star bout. But he likes to get into positions where O'Toole excels. The thing Carr has been able to do so well is stay incredibly patient when in on shots to keep Keegan out of those same funky Askren positions. I can't remember anyone finishing shots so methodically as Carr did in that first match.

Curious is he going to grow his arms longer? Seriously how does he game plan for reach and length.

You serious?

If a basketball team says they have trouble with size you don't tell the players to grow, you pack the paint with your biggest players and dish it inside. If O'Tools says he has a problem with reach, Hamiti should favor positions that take advantage of his length. Adjust stance and ties to make it harder to get at legs, gets arms out first from bottom, de-compactify body position when O'Toole forces scrambles, look for cradles, and so on. How you possibly concluded that Hamiti should grow his arms longer is beyond me.

Hamiti did look a LOT quicker and just...more relentless on his attacks.

I don't know if he'll beat KOT, but...damn, he looks good. A lot better than he looked just at that time. He's forcing his offense more whereas he was more trying to score on counters earlier.

I mean...it seemed pretty simple to me. Try and get O'Toole extended, keep distance. It made plenty of sense. Carr and Hamiti are built pretty similar. It'd make sense he'd try and watch what Carr has had success with.

Hamiti is a different dude though. I see people compare him to Ali(I know half jokingly, but the inference that he's smooth). He looks herky jerky to me. Not really all that smooth at all. Ends up doing the same and being effective, but...he looks a little funny.

165 is gonna be exciting. think it's a lot lower % that we get a 3rd KOT-Carr matchup than most are predicting. If that's Carr getting upset or KOT, IDK. Amine could beat O'Toole and Griffith, we just keep writing that kid off and for no good reason! I haven't finished up my bracket yet, but..I have no clue what I'm gonna do there.

Amine isn't 100 percent healthy yet. Thats why they are reluctant to rate him as high as he was 2 months ago.

I couldn't take Hamiti serious at first becuase he's gangly and kind of a goof but then again I said the same thing about Nickal.
