First, I’m very glad the WNBA is being taken to task on this.  And I think Freedom was brilliant in bringing it to the forefront the way he did.  They’re making it apparent that the WNBA wants the appearance of inclusive, but when it comes down to it, it’s really more about the culture war than it is about right and wrong. Biological men should not be playing in women’s sports, period.  And it has nothing to do with gender identity or ideology, it has everything to do with biology and the fact that men are much superior to women in terms of natural athletic ability.

Second, the guys in here, and everywhere, bagging on the women playing in this league for their level of play, are just showing their character as humans and small little inferior minded men.  They definitely are not as gifted as men players, but that has nothing to do with the fact that they bust their ass and compete at a level that is the top 1% in the world at their game.  They are the best in the world at what they do, and being athletically inferior to men doesn’t change that one bit.  It’s pretty hypocritical to scream men shouldn’t be playing women, but then bag on the women because they couldn’t match up with the men. Not one person bagging on them has busted their ass the way they do or reached anywhere near the top 1% of what ever you are doing with your life.  And it shows by the fact you have no appreciation for how hard they’ve worked. Doesn’t mean you have to watch, but it shows your self shame in being average, at best.  We should be able to appreciate anyone who is among the very best in the world at what they do, no matter what it is, and not feel like you have to bring them down because you have zero understanding of what it takes to get to that level.

Just sayin..

Woah...what the!??  Who is bagging on the woman players?  Those are quite the emotional accusations about "people on here" based on some perceived you have that the WNBA players are being criticized in some way...I'd be curious how you came to such a definitive conclusion about people or who actually was "bagging on the players"??

Its more about the bottom line. This is the entertainment business so they simply want to get more TV viewing and sell more tickets. They probably don't give two squirts of piss about a culture war unless it boosts their bottom line. Same with the NBA, NHL and NFL.

I think almost everybody agrees that biological men shouldn't be playing womens sports but more of the disagreement comes when you talk about who gets to push their beliefs onto privately owned organizations? If trans women can make the league more money, do you and I have the right to say they can't include them?

I have a MUCH bigger problem with taxpayer dollars funding salaries for professional athletes (which we are probably all doing to some extent) than organizations deciding for themselves who gets to play in their leagues.

I think it might be the All Star Bloopers and the comparison; their skills are inferior to 13 yr old boys.  I like watching them play but can't handle women beating women up. I like watching their skills and think it should be less physical and more fouls called.

The average man is simply bigger, stronger and faster than the average woman. There's a lot more to appreciating sports than that. But if you know very little about a particular sport, I can see how that's all it comes down to for you.

Are you seriously trying to say there aren’t men bagging on the women players?  Come on man

Completely agree, except maybe the 13 year old boy part, unless you’re talking about elite 13 year olds, you may have a point.  But the standard 13 year old….well I see a lot of youth sport in my job these days and yeah….its not pretty.

I'm saying I don't remember reading people doing that on here, I don't consider it "bagging" if someone says they don't like to watch the WNBA or they feel it's a bad product...that doesn't infere in anyway that they aren't elite for female basketball players.  I think the WNBA is a bad product and thus I don't watch, just as I think mens Olympic gymnastics is a bad product and thus I don't watch. Does that mean I think male Olympic gymnast aren't elite athletes in their sport, no it does not because they absolutely are.

But if people on here have in fact bagged on them as athletes then I missed it.

I honestly couldn't care less about this as I don't watch the WNBA anyway as it is a terrible product …Or let them play...I may actually watch then.

I said nothing about you, or any of your statements.  Why did you take this so personal??

Interesting.

So the WNBA says these new women can't play because they are insincere when they say they are women.   Who's decision is that to make?   In today's world, if a guy says he's a woman, he's a woman.   We have been preached this for some time now.   Prisoners get to go to the womens prison if they say, "Gee, all of the sudden I feel like I'm a woman, never mind I am convicted of raping various women".   WNBA apparently don't know the rules of this game.   You must believe when someone says they are a woman and you must treat them like they are a woman.

I agree that this was probably a publicity stunt.   WNBA is right to refuse these men to play.   However, their official stance is that they are not biologists so who are they to say who is a woman.   Therein is the problem.   Just acknowledge that women don't have prostates, penises, testicles, vas deferens, etc and it will be very understandable.  Or quit with the trans women should have access to women sports and facilities etc line which is why this came about.   They are still riding that fence and this argument will come to a head again at some point.

I kinda agree, but in the case of Freedom in particular, he kinda gave away his game by wearing the shirt saying “woman: adult human female” which is acknowledging that he isn’t one.

A Brave trans hero can wear whatever shirt she wants to wear.   Don’t be trans phobic.   Maybe she has a sense of humor and feels it is ironic

I didn't "take it personal"...I mearly was trying to understand your post which appeared that YOU took something personal by bashing people on here for a reason that wasn't clear to me; thus, I asked, and stated my opinion so you were clear and didn't read into it like you appeared to have done with others.

Again, if people on here truly did "bag" on the players please point it out as I may have missed it.

You literally explained and defended yourself, when I said nothing about you or any of your statements.  That absolutely defines taking it personal.

And, as I said, I found it interesting that was your reaction.  But all good, it’ll be okay.
