And the other one - is that Trump's latest budget included a significant increase for the "Defense" Budget. Has the administration gone back to calling it the Dept of Defense?

Otherwise, it would correctly be called the War Budget.

Probably the same amount previous administrations have spent on and thus taken away from other programs people wanted...and the same amount, or actually more, future administrations are going to spend on things half of the people are going to disagree with.  I agree there is a priorities problem, but the problem isn't necessarily the priorities, rather which items do people agree on as the top priorities.

Vietnam never had an official declaration. Some considered it a Police Action just like the Korean War. 58,220 American died in Vietnam in an 8 year period. Approximately 35,000 to 50,000 died in The Korean war in 3 years. Although these numbers are horrific, they pale in the number of causalities that would result from Iran having nuclear missiles and using them. Estimates are 200,000 to over 1 million causalities. Oil would skyrocket to over 130 for perpetuity. Gas would be 5 to 6 dollars a gallon for ever.
