This is really wild at this point... A president that is literally crazy, a congress fully abdicating their responsibility, gas and other every day items with sky rocketing prices, ICE doing the job of TSA...

Honestly, I'm totally cool with a conservative president that just had a single iota of integrity and letting both sides duke it out on policy but this is just societal collapse happening in real time... I wonder if this is what it was like for the Romans before it all ended for them?

The country is still running.  We've survived worse.

Trump is using heavy pressure hyperbole.

Wait and Chill.

Super low bar. This is 110% trumps doing and 110% unnecessary.

Man...some of you sure are drama queens...cracks me up.  "OMG the country is falling apart!!  It's never been this bad!!!"  "The world is ending!!!"   LOL  You all lack utter common sense, perspective, and quick frankly any emotional maturity whatsoever.

Don't get me wrong...the R's don't get a pass either...some were screaming the same types of things at the thought of Kamala being president.  "OMG there is going to be a civil war!!!"

Guess what...in 3.75 years from now we will be a little better off in somethings and a little worse in others...and if a D gets elected to the Presidency next it will just repeat itself but in different ways.  I can't imagine living in a world where everything you do is controlled by pure emotion and what the President is or isn't doing.  yikes  Mental health is a real issue folks!!

When the presidents actions have severe consequences to everyday life you have to be a different kind of crazy to jus brush it off like you do

"Severe consequences"  🤣😂  Okay drama queen lets hear them??

My everyday life is pretty darn good and satisfying...have a great son, great family, great friends, great home, I pay my bills, buy my groceries, take vacations, enjoy life, enjoy my community, put my time in to retire within the next 10 years, etc...I sure can't complain about much and what is happening in the world doesn't really affect my life to the point I jump up and down and scream like a little baby when I don't get to play with a ball.  And the things that are happening that do affect my life, like with every single president since I have been alive, I deal with it, make adjustments and continue to live a happy life.

But hey...you do you boo!

Hey RV.   You are correct  regarding your first point, but I'm not so sure about the second point.   I know you said some time ago that you didn't care if Iran got nukes.   But there are plenty of people in the country including every President since 1979 that have expressed the concern that they might get nukes.   Apparently Trump felt that 47 years was enough time to finally take action against the Iranian regime.   So are you complaining because it is Trump?   Or are you complaining because you don't like war for any reason?   Or you are not convinced that Iran was amassing arms enough to become impenetrable and a extreme bad neighbor?   When would strong action against Iran become necessary?

This seems like a crazy time to do this when the mid terms are upcoming.   Almost like he saw a problem that needed remedy right now rather than after the midterms.  Almost like he is thinking about the long term rather than the next election.  I'm not saying he is right, but this is a weird time to do this if all he cares about is the next election.

There is definitely some jumping up and down and screaming like a baby going on around here.  Somewhere a keyboard is getting worn the fook out.

“Severe consequences?”  I remember the stories about the people walking across the continent with covered wagons without bottled water.  WWII, the last time Congress declared war, gasoline was rationed.  So was sugar, and rubber (tires), women’s nylons.  Lots of stuff was in short supply or unavailable.  My wife tells about a woman who could repair her nylons so well you couldn’t tell where the repair was.  But none of them jumped on the internet and screamed about how awful the president was.  There was evil to deal with and most were willing to do their part.

Fall of Rome may or may not be exaggerated but where would you say we are when the best case scenario is that we have someone in office that just threatened destroying a civilization of people because he is either senile or so immature that he likes to troll that hard? Because on the other hand if Iran doesn't respond he either TACOs or fires on civilian infrastructure.

I've barely been on here. Just took a great vacation with the family, haven't watched a ton of news and just started paying attention the past couple of days and listened to the president address the country on multiple occasions and drew my conclusion.

I wish that were so...

I have a family member in the service, a little over half way through his commitment although he talks of making it a career.  Not involved so far but the future  Is uncertain.

Bridges and power plants aren’t civilian targets.  Modern bridges in the U.S. are not designed to accommodate civilian transportation, they’re built to withstand heavy military use.  Just because something affects civilians doesn’t make it a crime to inconvenience them if it similarly disadvantages the military.

There's a medium sized island near where I live that has a decent sized community on it,  businesses, large school district etc... there are bridges on and off the island and unless you have a boat you can't get there.

Blowing up those bridges would crush that community. They couldn't get food easily to them, there is no hospital on the island so people that are in poor medical health would not get the care they need. A mother that is pregnant would not be able to get to the hospital to deliver a baby. People couldn't get to work and make a living. It would be a humanitarian disaster for them in their community. These bridges are used astronomically more often by civilians than by military. If you blow up the bridges and their ability to have power- mass civilian casualty event.

An inconvenience to them is when there is a car accident on one of the bridges and they have to wait in traffic until it clears.

You are completely devoid of either any humanity or the ability to think in an even remotely coherent manner. The people starving, unable to get medical help or support their families don't give a flying F*ck what the US definition of "civilian infrastructure" is.

Then who is going to foot the bill to repair all that shit? Trump said himself we would help rebuild which is ridiculous on the surface that we will spend billions of dollars in military armaments to destroy things we are then going to turn around and spend billions to rebuild... Don't worry though, tax payers got it right? America first right?
