I want to point out that he registered at the same time at two different weights, too.

I just wanna say that if Missouri and Jarrett Stoner don't take advantage of that last name for marketing, walk out music and Stoner NIghts....then I don't know how to help you.

He had Max beat in their best of 3 and gave up a TD in the closing seconds in match 2. He was ahead 1-0 at the time. His losses to Hidley, I don’t remember the scores weren’t close if I’m remembering correctly. Pretty sure Trent controlled him in the series.

He is registered at 86 KG for Juniors, though.  He did the same exact thing last year, too.

He must think the path to be a national team member is easier at 92 KG than 86 KG.

Edit: Also, 86 KG is 189.6lbs.  He wouldn't be 'going in low' for anything.  It is legit the same weight, and six pounds heavier than he was the entire collegiate season.

I don't think Aeodon is going 197 lbs. next year. Even though he is going 92 kg at US Open. I have heard a rumor of one of the Stanford portal wrestling interested in Mizzou. But I am not going to hold my breath.

Knox would make sense. Walker finally gets to take a RS year. Garvin would be interesting, but with 2 yrs left, do we gamble with possibly losing Heiser, Rath or Bambinelli? Sneed is gone after this year, that opens some room. Idk that the young guys want to sit multiple years. Norman only makes sense if he goes 197 and I’m not sure he’s open to that.

I'm just curious why different weights.

I think Zan Fugitt transfers in. If Endene gets here that’s huge and makes them a dangerous team

I'd love to see that transfer.  When was the last time Mizzou had a good lightweight?  Waters in 2015?

According to Basch, Endene is going on their show sometime next week to announce his decision. Fugitt would be big and allow Walker to finally take his redshirt

My hope is this:

Mirasola brothers transfer to Mizzou, man 197/285.

They're gonna stuff Messenbrink in their suitcase on the way out the door. One step closer to the All-Askren dream team

If they can find him.

I actually think Steed may have two more years. He could get a medical redshirt for his redshirt freshman year. He didn't wrestle after the Cougar Clash

Would he want another year?  Think he is one concussion away from retirement.  How long does he want to gamble with his long term health?

I was hoping he would be a Tiger coming out of high school.  Not sure how heavily he was recruited my Mizzou (or) if the Oklahoma offer was too good to turn down?

Seeing how he is a Missouri kid, and having been very good throughout his high school career, I would think Mizzou had been in his ear for a substantial amount of time.  If they this is not the case then Mizzou needs to rethink their recruiting priorities.  Just my opinion.

Is there any thought Sinclair is going 97? I hope not, but he’s at 92Kg for the open

I think Zan ends up at Ohio State. 141, he will not wrestle at 133 next year.

That's debatable.  By Missouri lightweight standards he was solid.  But he went 5-8 at natties in 4 tries, never seeded higher than 13th, never AA'ed, and never won conference.  I liked him, but he wasn't that great.

I’m bias cuz he went to my HS, I know him and the family. He had a bad break with neck injuries

Serious question…would Zan beat Bouzakis? I assume there’s no way Nic makes 125 for a full season again, and I’m guessing Davino stays at 133. Why would tOSU spend NIL money on Zan if they have a capable, AA threat in Bouzakis for that weight?

What makes you think that Bouzakis would be a legitimate AA threat at 141? He just had his best season in college at 125. He was very up and down at 133 and failed to AA in a pretty weak field in 2025. He's not a 141 and I would be surprised to see him do well at a weight where his power is neutralized.

True. Most of his success this season had a lot to do with his power at 25. He’s registered at the open at 61kg so I guess he is closer to 33. I can’t imagine Davino moves up though.

Nope. And as was mentioned, Bouzakis can't be effective at 41.  He goes back down or he doesn't wrestle...

Or he leaves.
