Because you know you're wrong. Run the stats coward, it's not hard - if you have time to keep replying all over then you have time to do some basic math on wikipedia.

I don’t care to because as a whole America (fans and athletes) don’t care about freestyle.  And we are dominating as a country workout ruining folkstyle with dumb rule changes.

Quit moving the goal posts and do the math bitch.

Let's keep it easy, since you're a whiney goal post moving bitch: what weights won a world title last year? I ask because I consider "dominating" (your description) to be a world title. So start counting.

I’ve charted out our dominance before Over years.  Find those threads I won’t be doing it again … also statistically one year over a series of years isn’t mathematically meaningful.

also.  Americans don’t like to watch freestyle.  They don’t attend freestyle events like they attend folkstyle events.   They don’t watch freestyle events like they watch folkstyle events.

You don’t like this question.  —> Why is freestyle us open or wtt or a big us tourney not on ESPN?   I know you know why ….

When you ask a kid what they want to be when they grow up do they say age group champ or "I want to win the Olympics?"

I was watching this match with no sound…Why didn’t the Michigan coaches throw the brick sooner?  Did they even review Michigan’s challenge?

For some time now it has been clear that NCAA should bother to move to UWW weights.

Maybe if UWW changes their weights.  92 kg is ridiculously thin internationally.  This tournament is further evidence that there is no need for a weight between 197 and 285 (unless you just want to increase 184 & 197 a bit each).  5 of the 8 AA’s at heavyweight started their careers as 197’s, and one of the remaining three is Ben Kueter who probably weighs like 220

I think they'll hold off on hanging a freshman banner.

Certainly noteworthy though since this year’s true freshmen are basically Taylor’s first recruiting class - and 2 of the 3 true freshmen finalists Taylor flipped from other schools.

That was the first tie breaker for an Oklahoma State upper weight.

I was more referencing the entire year but maybe a better statement they know how to win without a takedown

Hey that was an awesome compliment! Thanks brother!  I used to be more active but life has been busy over the past year or 2.

Ironically enough I got into coaching JH wrestling this year, and our HS coach scheduled a "team building" event today at a Paintball facility (is he not a fan of the sport?).  So the thing thats keeping me from wrestling is wrestling.... quite the predicament, but can't let the kids down!

Be back tonight for the finals! Hopefully some monster upsets to close out this mornings action.

Gimme
Spratley actually beating Robinson again

(man can't believe I'm going to miss Seidel (assuming he beats Ayala) vs Blaze
I really want to see that match. Heck Both matches, no clue how they turn out.

Ech/Hardy should be cool, but Hardy lets people in deep, I think Ech wins but loses to Stanich again.

149 is just coinflips left and right, would be cool to see Block get 3rd, but  probably Gaj

157 I think Watters is a better version of Cannon, I'd  love to see the match, anything can happen on the backside, gimme Watters.
Webster vs Duke is nothing to scoff at, Duke was robbed of everything and Webster will punch you in the mouth. Look for upset potential.

165 Blaze should get 3rd but Sparks will  make him work for it

174:  I'd love to see Kharchla vs Steed. I'm a huge Steed fan, but Kharchla is so tough to score on. I think we most likely see a Kennedy vs Kharchla rematch...... wish they could both get 3rd

184: Wish Sinclair could've made the finals, tough  opponent for Mantanona who'll have to settle for 5th

197:  I've loved Posada, glad he is an AA. but Novak vs Little should be fire for 3rd. Gimme Novak, just a little more diverse.

HWY:  Good on Ferrari for showing up to wrestle, Doucet is right there, but I just can't see him getting a takedown.
Ferrari vs TG (who was so close to a finals appearance).... TG get him again, too much agile size.  Doucet beats Kueter though.

Sorry if none of that made sense, but typed  fast, gotta be out the door in 6 minutes. 🙂 Cheers brothers, see yall for the finals !

Glad you’ll be back for the finals but can’t believe wrestling coach would schedule an event during NCAAs

Still salty there's no 97kg equivalent so we can give participation spots to kids who placed 6th at state once

Yeah, instead we should give more opportunities to football players whose coaches convinced them to try wrestling for the first time as a freshman because there was no other 220 guy on the team and won state titles because the weight was thin

Cool, sounds like we shouldn’t be doing anything differently with the college weights in that range then

@CornellFan Would you say he got whomped 8-1 by Webster because of a skill difference? Or was there something mental that caused that result? Pick your poison.

I think there's clearly something going on medically, especially given today's MFF. He looked gassed almost every match, which is definitely out of character. Especially so for someone who doesn't cut weight. It's generally bot wise to go around accusing a now 3x AA who is also accomplished on the world stage of being mentally weak. That's just lazy and disingenuous on your part. Do better.

So it's okay to accuse of physical weakness but not mental weakness?  I'm just trying to be clear on what excuses are in bounds.
