NY may not have the depth of a PA, Oh, NJ but their top tier guys that come out every 5-10 years they some of the best the US has to offer. If Duke wins 4 titles, NY would have 3 of the 8 wrestlers to claim that (2 of which were at Cornell) which is pretty crazy when you take into account what Ohio/NJ/PA produces amongst other top wrestling states. Really exciting stuff for NY and will be excited to see how this goes.

That so many of them are making big runs for tournaments like this or final x etc. convenient answer to say the least. Now…. Cstar just needs time to peak. No mention of staying in college for extra years to get his 5th.

As a fellow Cornell fan I think Gray moves the needle in the opposite direction we want it to go. Can he pull big recruits from states other than NJ is the question.

On a business trip to Germany I had to stay over the weekend. I decided to drive through the countryside on Saturday morning and came upon a huge traffic jam on a two lane rural road. As I inched forward in the jam that lasted about 30 minutes I came to the cause: Everyone in town was going to the recycling center to drop off their sorted garbage at a very designated time and place. The "climate damage" from the cars idling there must have been incredible!! And think of the cost at about $8 per gallon of gas. At least the government got about $6 in taxes on that $8 of gas. Imagine how a whole society can get caught up in self-perpetuated delusions. Good thing nothing like that ever happens here.

I stand by my last reply that I would take the under as well, FWIW. That said, Pindrickson wrestled both of them at WTT and one of them ended early and the other did not.

Why is this about age? Yes some people win world championships at 18 and some at 40. Why would that be evidence that Starocci is at his peak? How much freestyle has he trained and competed in? I have a hard time believing that he won’t get better at freestyle if he chooses to focus 100% on it. Now, he may switch to mma so this could end up being his peak in freestyle, but it has nothing to do with age and everything to do with his training.
