  1. But ref is only looking at left shoulder, which is clearly down!
  2. Haines hasn't had high school training for TWO years. Perfectly fine, but also accurate.
  3. It would be an interesting dual, but PSU prob comes out on top. Tournament-wise the ACC camps would likely have no chance vs. PSU if they were a team.
  4. You see guys looking awful at MMA events after big cuts, and they had weigh ins 24 hours prior.
  5. This didn't age well!!!
  6. Correct. That is why I said session 1. However at the first session, I saw a number of guys win matches over members of the more prestigious conferences. For instance, ACC reps went 3-0 at 125 beating #13, #6, and #7... all of whom were seeded higher. 133 3-0 141 3-0 149 2-1 (PSU guy lost) 157 3-0 165 2-1 including #20 over #13 174 1-2 not good! 184 3-2 197 2-2 285 1-2 also not good I don't think I missed anyone, but it is possible. 20-10. Overall, pretty solid. In the seeding discussions before the tournament, I read that 'ACC and SoCon champs would be placing 8th in the Big 10.' Obviously, they look a little better than that, granted it is still early. Yes, I know they will take some beatings in future rounds, but good start.
  7. But you still claim expertise on his weight gain. I see.
  8. Is it me, or did the ACC just have a really good session 1?
  9. Everyone always talks about how the "two piece" or "doublet" is good for the sport. I have always said: Sure, it is great! That is until your heavyweights muffin top is exposed.
  10. Did you see any of the videos with all of the focus he did on strength training?
  11. "heavy" and Pat Glory are often said in the same sentence.
  12. https://thesundevils.com/sports/wrestling/roster/michael-mcgee/13446 That is his name. "His name is pronounced MEH-KALE, NOT the traditional "MICHAEL""
  13. Exactly. No argument. I think Cael soundly beat Jenn in a future meeting. My argument is that if he was capable of losing to Jenn, he probably loses to Eggum, Hartung, Fullhart, Clark, Vertus Jones, as a true freshman.
  14. The Iowa radio guys said that he actually had to cut some weight this year. Apparently he put on some mass during his recovery. For some reason, I remember something about "137."
  15. The late Paul Jenn disagrees that Cael would have won as a true freshman.
  16. I was told yesterday that bonus rate as a sign of greatness is the biggest myth in wrestling. I would counter that by saying : If Brooks didn't keep matches against some competitors so close, he wouldn't have lost against Coleman. You let a guy stay close, some crazy stuff can happen.
  17. I believe I heard that he was getting up to 145 in-season this year, prompting him to consider a permanent move to 133 (which ended up being a temporary move.)
  18. It is super funny when Backwards Hat Guy can't follow the natural progression of an argument, complains it deviated too much from the topic... and then takes it off the rails into his favorite S&M activities. Bro can't even get the nouns and verbs right in his Plato quotes. Lay off the booze the rest of the night, you have a long weekend ahead!
  19. Thanks. I knew I was correct.
  20. Also... you have done nothing to dispute the fact that PSU gets its fair share of injuries. Ironic? Dont'cha think?
