I read the Facebook post from the Southern Oregon wrestler, that did not sound consensual. My understanding is Perry’s relarionship(s) was never accused of not being consensual (similar to the allegations about Starocci). That’s a pretty significant distinction IMO.
So do you know anything about the Moorman situation?
And with the Park Merry situation, was that even anything that was potentially criminal? Obviously not a good look and I get other athletes getting upset about it, but my understanding was that was a relationship between consenting adults. Very different from the Starocci allegations IMO
It’s possible Beau gave some additional details to the police, but not sure why you would assume that. And if he did, I would think it would have been more likely about Carter being accused of sexual assault than about him taking naked pictures in the locker room. My read of the article was that Beau thought the “retaliation” was because Carter’s girlfriend broke up with him after Syd told her about the allegations.
But the only reason you’re saying the situations are “different” is because of the nature of their explanations: Brooks is admitting to taking the substance, but not knowing it was banned. Fix claimed he didn’t know he was taking anything.
If we can agree that neither explanation is likely true, then the situations are in fact similar.
I just searched her name and there is one article saying she’s no longer the coach and that’s about it. Even on xtwitter a search of her name reveals zero posts since 4 months prior to her no longer being the coach. Whatever happened, it looks like quite literally, no one is talking about it
They’re similar in the sense that both wrestlers are making excuses for why they failed. You only think they’re different because you find Fix’s excuse more plausible. But giving him a “B” for plausibility is laughable IMO. I don’t see any way Derek would have left PED’s in an unmarked water bottle in an easily accessible refrigerator, as in addition to Daton there were other children living there.
Considering they brought a dozen guys and an armored truck to arrest someone who at worst hit another vehicle with his own, no, I’m not sure that is a safe assumption.
So again, good to know shattering a window is safe for infants!
He was questioned and released at the time of the incident. If what he did was so bad they should have taken him in right then.
“Ramming” is likely an exaggeration.
They used explosives on the windows. Exploding windows aren’t dangerous to the people inside?
Yes, they should have knocked on the door. He was not accused of “trying to kill” anyone, and he had already been questioned once and released
I’d suggest they should have not released him at the time it happened if they really thought he was “trying to kill them”
Most likely was just a minor fender bender.
Also, they stated everyone that lives in the home is a US citizen. Do you assume everyone with a Hispanic name is illegal?
