  1. I guess this is more what I was getting at. I think some would argue the best employees aren’t necessarily the ones who work 80 hour weeks, it’s the ones that can get done in 20 hours what another person gets done in 40.
  2. 55+ is much different than 80+. And “when needed” is much different than making it an apparent requirement
  3. Don’t know much about Vivek, but for Elon I’d guess this statement isn’t mutually exclusive from the one of mine you quoted.
  4. Well now he’s bringing on guests (his wife) and comparing himself to Russell Crowe in Gladiator
  5. It’s also probably not a job for anyone with a family or with a family that they like
  6. I don’t really care that there are 2 people leading the department, although I do think it’s funny to joke about it. Just like it’s funny to joke about them telling people to apply via DM but then the DM’s not actually being open. I do think Vivek was probably gunning for a more important/official position though. My 2 for 1 comment was in relation to the posting saying they’re expecting people to work 80+ hours a week. Could be wrong but I believe there have been studies done showing that worker productivity declines at that level of hours.
  7. I kinda feel bad for Vivek TBH. He seems like a smart guy, but he spent his whole campaign simping for Trump with the likely hope of a cabinet position, only to be forced to share a role with Elon that’s not even a real cabinet position and that Elon will probably try to make most of the decisions for
  8. Well, paying 1 person to work the hours of 2 people is one way to get perceived efficiency I guess. Also, Lol:
  9. IMO there is a bit of an “unwritten rule” for Flo to let athletes be the ones to announce their commitments, although I’m not sure how often they are told directly by the athlete or just hear it through other sources. So for commitments I see no issue with Flo not reporting what they hear. I do think they could/should report more on what they hear on other topics though, provided it’s not told to them by someone who specifically says don’t report it. I can’t think of a specific example off the top of my head but I know there have been multiple times where they clearly know something and hint at it, but won’t just come out and say it.
  10. Agree. Martin really has it out for him now apparently
  11. So if users use ad blockers, does that reduce revenue to the site? If so, I’d be curious if the site is actually making more via ads than it was previously because the site is pretty much unusable with the ads. No issues using an ad blocker though
  12. Not sure, only chance would maybe be based on his comment of “wanting to change a program”
  13. I don’t feel that they said the criticism was “more damaging.” IMO they acknowledged that it was ultimately their fault. Just stating a fact that that’s how more people became aware of it.
  14. I believe he did mention Nagao may have been limited, and that he could still be injured enough to get a medical. But honestly that would likely be why he got scolded if they don’t want people to know Nagao was wrestling a live match.
  15. I don’t see any chance he picks VT. Rutgers may have a miniscule chance due to Mason Gibson and geography.
  16. You can now view posts of users who have blocked you, fwiw
  17. My biggest concern with DOGE is the impact to the economy. Yes, there is wasteful spending, and yes, many government employees are overpaid, but it sounds like they might want to cut 1 million+ jobs. That’s a lot of people that will now be unemployed. I do think Elon is certainly more qualified for this role than some of Trump’s other appointments though. Hopefully he takes a little longer to think about the decisions than what he did at Twitter by cutting so much staff so soon after buying it. Worst case scenario is they cut something that is actually needed which results in something bad happening and then there is “harm done.” Not saying that will happen but not sure how you could say “no harm done.”
  18. Yes, she said they were told to “practice avoidance,” which to me feels intentionally vague. She did not say they were told or that it was common for people to avoid Trump flags
  19. I thought they did say they knew. But it is pretty standard to let kids announce their commitments themselves. Ironically one of the people who “amplified” their error here has repeatedly been called out for leaking commitments before kids make them. I kinda agree with Vak, I thought what they said was fine. They did take responsibility, but called out the truth that not many people would have known if others didn’t amplify the error. By talking about it on FRL they made even more people aware of their mistake that probably hadn’t even seen it, I wouldn’t have been surprised if they didn’t address it at all. Flo probably should have deleted their own social media posts about it though.
  20. Does the Ivy League grant medical hardship waivers? I thought that was the NCAA. I know the Ivy has their clock rule though. Even if he stays in school this semester couldn’t he unenroll next semester and then for a future season only wrestle in the spring or something?
  21. Minnow posted about Lilledahl beating McHenry, Davis beating Nagao, Facundo beating Kasak and Cochran beating Barr, but then pretty sure deleted it and implied he got scolded by someone from PSU
  22. We also missed episodes 4 and 5 of the glaringly egregious podcast
  23. He recently reposted a post about Michelle Obama being a man
