  1. lol you definitely copied that answer from AI. Which was “more controversial” is different than which were more people complaining about. Yes, on the whole the people that actually complained about the jeans ad probably thought it was more serious. But while I don’t know the exact number, I feel pretty confident in saying that less people were actually complaining about that than the Cracker Barrel rebrand. Probably 90% of the conversation I saw about Sydney Sweeney was just conservatives making fun of nobodies on TikTok. But those same conservatives are doing the actual complaining about Cracker Barrel. Yes, maybe they’re just the loudest in general, but that’s why I think the number of likes is an indicator as well.
  2. https://nypost.com/2024/09/19/us-news/gop-north-carolina-lt-gov-mark-robinson-claimed-to-be-a-black-nazi-and-wanted-to-buy-slaves-as-sexist-racist-online-remarks-revealed/
  3. I don’t know the number. But I challenge you to find an x post complaining about AE/Sydney Sweeney with more likes than that.
  4. Thanks, that’s kinda what I figured but I’m not too familiar with MA. I know that’s been a similar story recently where I live in NC with the R Presidential candidate winning the last 4 races but the governor has been a D since 2017. Of course last year it wasn’t too difficult for the D candidate to defeat a self-described Nazi. But I also know NC has bad gerrymandering favoring the R’s.
  5. It’s obviously not an exact science and I know you don’t like x, but I would start by challenging people to find an x post with more likes than this one below which is at 90k+ (an actual post complaining about AE/Sweeney, not one making fun of the people that were mad about AE/Sweeney). I know earlier I’ve focused on the number of followers of the people saying it, but in response to the post from @JimmySpeaks above, people “liking” it shows they “care.”
  6. Let’s get back on topic then, do you think the number of conservatives mad at Cracker Barrel is higher or lower than the number of libs mad at American Eagle?
  7. How do they often end up with Republican governors? Do they have a lot of people vote R for governor but D for President?
  8. True, it’s super hard to click on their profile to see.
  9. Actually that account has over 900k followers, and they’re saying it directly. But I thought it was funny that @Caveira posted a tweet from them the other day with “people are saying” and didn’t even provide an example. So literally nobody, not even someone nobody has ever heard of.
  10. Ok I will remember this description the next time you post random YouTube videos
  11. Don’t really see plant-based options here, in fact they’re even bringing back old items: https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/articles/cracker-barrel-just-dropped-fall-180000924.html
  12. Never happened. You fell for fake news lol
  13. So you just watch someone else that scrounges for you, got it
  14. I wasn’t doubting what you were seeing, just curious where you were looking.
  15. So what are your sources of information that give you your indication of what conservatives are or aren’t up in arms about? Here’s Fox News for example, including quoting someone saying they are “fixing to Bud Light themselves,” and includes links to various other Fox News articles/videos on the subject https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/cracker-barrel-faces-customer-criticism-after-ditching-iconic-48-year-old-logo-new-design
  16. Are you on x? I shared several easy to find examples of accounts with large followings up in arms about it. Matt Walsh even dedicated a whole video to it. But yeah, a lot of the people calling it woke don’t even explain why. Generally, the complaint is that they are “ruining a great brand” or something to that effect, yet apparently they’ve been down for years and I doubt the people saying how great it was even eat there. Some people are upset they took the man off the logo, and comparing it to Land o Lakes, Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben’s etc. Lots of people mad at the CEO because she’s a white liberal woman.
  17. Honestly the first I heard about it was from the Willie & Basch podcast. But when I looked it up pretty much every big name conservative x poster was complaining about it. Remind me, were you one of the folks that thought a significant number of libs were complaining about the Sydney Sweeney ad? Because there are far more conservatives (especially those with large followings) complaining about this, than libs that were complaining about the Sydney Sweeney ad.
