Saying a picture of hands with different skin tones and the words “everyone is welcome here” could create division is ridiculous, regardless of the “intentions.” You may have noticed that my OP made no mention of political parties, but if I had to bet, I’d probably bet that the folks that made the decision are probably libs, so for the folks that want to blame everything on the libs, you maybe could for this anyway. Although they did try to blame the decision on “today’s political environment,” and by saying the issue was the color of the hands they could be afraid it could be considered DEI which could risk losing funding.

Just watched this. He seemed to have a good attitude throughout. Also kudos to him for wrestling and winning for 5th knowing he didn’t qualify. Not sure why the kids he wrestles never seem to like him. He is bringing way more attention to D2 wrestling than pretty much anyone since the time they were allowed to wrestle at D1 NCAA’s.

It’s been explained in other threads. Me personally I think everyone from 2020 should have gotten another year. But I understand why they didn’t, and the tricky part is that if someone didn’t qualify for NCAA’s, they didn’t miss anything. So do you only grant another year to those who qualifyied? In 2021, the reason it was a “free year” was because there was concern Covid might cancel another season, so they offered the free year as an incentive for everyone to compete.

I hope they find and prosecute whoever is responsible for these incidents. I’m OK with attempted murder even. But something seems odd about them. I’ve never heard of some of these people. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were doing it to themselves to create outrage (and gain followers). One recent victim even works for a camera company, and of course posted the footage as a convenient advertisement. Do you think we will ever get names of those accused to have made the calls?
