  1. It’s a fair statement though that kids that committed before he was hired didn’t know they opportunity to wrestle for David Taylor
  2. So Ferrari will have Stemmet on his first day?
  3. Great, another pastry bet
  4. They both still have 4 years of eligibility. Although I suspect Erik probably won’t see the postseason if he stays at PSU
  5. Which would also include while they’re enrolled at community college grayshirting. I bet we’ll probably see less of that now.
  6. If it wasn’t already, seems to be confirmed now that Perry is planning to be associated with ISU. Here he is at Super 32 coaching future ISU commit that moved to Ames Christian Castillo
  7. That does seem to be Yianni’s opinion, yes
  8. Thanks! Do you know how many can do it this year? At first glance, I see: Schultz Kerk Elam Starocci Keckeisen O’Toole Parco So this year will be the last year for guys who were freshmen in 2021 and wrestled 5 straight years. But we’ll still have some more 5 season guys next year if they redshirted after 2021 (and probably still a couple after that if they redshirted twice)
  9. Lehigh even put an official statement out about it. Can’t imagine that’s happened often https://content.usawmembership.com/articles/15042
  10. So this guy went to the HS where RBY went?
  11. It is interesting that some people (not me) seem upset that Starocci will have the chance to be a 5x champ. But no one really cares about other guys who will have had 5 postseasons, other than to say they’re old. Schultz will have an opportunity to be a 5x top-8 finisher, how many of those have there actually been so far? Only one I can think of off the top of my head is Myles Amine but I’m sure there are more.
  12. So if this was a regular practice for Cael (which he looks to have passed on to DT), maybe he did it more with Ivy guys since they could never officially be “committed”?
  13. Pure speculation but I think it’s more than that. If the cutoff is $2k and we’re including redshirts, I’d guess: Penn State: 10-12 Iowa: 9 or 10 Oklahoma State 5 Ohio State 4 or 5 Michigan 3 or 4 Iowa State 3 or 4 Nebraska 3 Cornell 3 Virginia Tech 3 Arizona State: 2 or 3 Rutgers: 2 Virginia Tech 2 Lehigh 2 Little Rock 2 Illinois 2 SDSU 2 West Virginia 1 or 2 Northern Iowa 1 Northern Colorado 1 North Carolina 1 Lock Haven 1 Purdue 1 Ohio 1 Wyoming 1 So something like 65-70, IMO. But about 30% of them coming from two schools

  16. I believe Flo also listed him as 18 at WNO. So Rudis is lying about his birthday?
  17. TBH, if I’m Sentes I’m probably encouraging scholarship guys to go in the portal. I wouldn’t want to be suggesting they lose out on free tuition money. Then if guys do transfer it makes it easier to decide who gets the remaining scholarships
  18. It didn’t exist during Yianni’s recruitment, but it did exist during his last 2 seasons. Started 7/1/21 I believe, although I believe were some funky state laws at first.
  19. But they’re all in school now right? And they can’t transfer to another school until next semester. I imagine several will take them up on the offer for first semester, so at best they only save on one semester. Looks like half year of tuition is $20K. So if they all don’t wrestle first semester, at most they’re saving $140K, for a lot of negative opinions. But that’s also not counting if any of the scholarship guys were considering hanging it up anyway, or if any have redshirts available (although maybe they won’t be able to practice either, but I guess this is where the RTC being “separate” comes in handy).
  20. No need for him to sh1t on Penn State really, Rob Koll had already done it
  21. That doesn’t explain the “you can have a scholarship as long as you don’t wrestle” line then. That just moves the expense to a different bucket.
  22. Well that explains it lol, odd that he’s even still listed on wrestlestat
  23. Could be wrong, but I think they’re saying 3 guys on scholarship can in fact compete. But the rest of the current guys on scholarship can’t if they want to keep the scholarship.
  24. Wrestlestat projects Cal Baptist transfer Schubert as the 157 starter
  25. I agree with @Dogbone. The answer to the question you’ve posed here is easily Keckeisen, IMO
