  1. The whole arbitrator thing seems completely counterintuitive to why NIL was started in the first place. I can’t imagine that sticks around for very long.
  2. If true, that would be kind of funny because I think in an interview, Bo was a bit critical of teams that offered his dad a job in order to get him to commit
  3. “Terrible” is harsh IMO, but I’m not sure why Willie would advertise going live about it and then not really have any commentary. I wish they let Dylan Palacio on like he requested…
  4. IMO, no. Downey was complaining about Snyder too, and was claiming he was “canceled for telling the truth.” But he also had sexual assault allegations at the time, which I think were more the reason for his suspension (IIRC they were ultimately dismissed). Yet that’s not what Flo (nor most people for that mater) were mostly talking about in regards to him
  5. Yeah I had it on in the background and I think Basch hardly said anything. Willie basically just recapped the article, and the history of Beau and his wife’s prior comments. One thing he called out which was notable IMO is that the first accuser used the word “rape.” From what I’ve seen, if the accuser doesn’t use the word “rape,” then there tends to be a higher chance the allegations are false (for example, when Dave Portnoy was recently accused of SA). That obviously doesn’t mean allegations are false if they don’t use the word rape, or that these allegations are true, but that’s a very serious word and for her to use it gives her a bit more credibility IMO.
  6. Ruh roh, author of the article now using Minnow as a “source” for that Starocci is not part of NLWC. Does that need to make us question his other sources?
  7. I don’t think the rich should pay disproportionately more. But I don’t think they should be disproportionately less either, which apparently is the case currently in NYC
  8. I don’t know the specifics of NYC’s property taxes, but he’s saying there’s a cap on assessed values, so the people in the most expensive homes are effectively paying a lower rate.
  9. He probably knew rage baiting conservatives would screenshot it so it will actually help spread the word on some of his initiatives
  10. That’s not racist, he’s stating a fact, and saying their taxes are artificially low, he just wants them to pay their fair share.
  11. But lol at people taking screenshots of the dude’s own website and pretending like they’ve unearthed something he was trying to keep secret
  12. Meh, he’s not saying to tax them at a higher rate than everyone else, he’s saying they’re not paying their fair share with the current cap. Is it not a fact that that the rich neighborhoods are more white? I’m sure the people saying this is racist are the same ones that would say “it’s not racist to point out that 13% of the population commits 51% of the violent crime, its facts” (I may not have the figure exactly correct but I’m sure you know the one, and yes I’d agree that statement on its own is not racist).
  13. Agree, but he did probably make a million bucks last year. Hopefully he saved some of it and invested it.
  14. I think he was just messing with the people that had already posted about it. But looks like Yianni in, Carter out.
  15. Quoting this which was the first time you made the “people of color only received 16% of total NIL compensation” claim. No “according to” or citation of where that stat came from…
  16. Well Beau has “said more publicly.” So maybe he was calling Starocci a puzzy
  17. Not sure why you’re saying you don’t want to reply anymore, but if you’re saying “NIL money is predominantly a meritocracy,” then seems like we agree. But saying “well there might be a 5% disparity” is a long way from when you said “16% of NIL dollars go to people of color.” Yes I know you were quoting something else, but you seemed to take it as fact. And I’m not saying they fabricated that stat, I looked up where it came from and it said it came from Opendorse, so in all likelihood it was only based on transactions on Opendorse, which wouldn’t include the top athletes. I am curious why you think my criticism of the “one study” was “factually wrong” though. I believe @Wrestleknownothing made similar criticisms about it.
  18. Agree. And with Starocci almost certainly being gone, I don’t think we see anyone leave that wasn’t going to already. Biggest questions to me are: 1) does this impact the Bassett decision? I’d have to think it leans him away from PSU. If he chooses PSU after this he will deservedly get a lot of flack after his comments 2) where does Starocci go (assuming no criminal charges)? Does he retire from amateur wrestling?
  19. Hopefully Ben recovers, and then when he does he’s going to think he’s entered the twilight zone. So in the time he’s been hospitalized: -PJ Duke beats Yianni -Bo Bassett decommits -Carter Starocci accused of a laundry list of things
  20. I don’t expect them to comment on it more than the FRL guys did, but I would have thought we would have at least seen an x post from Flo acknowledging it. Nope.
  21. I thought the article said Bartlett never got the items back, but could be wrong. My one criticism of the article is that there is this quote in big blue letters breaking up 2 of the paragraphs, but I thought when articles do that it usually is pulled from elsewhere in the article, yet I don’t think this quote was: “I didn’t (do) all the things I should’ve done to press charges against him because I was young and really scared,” she said. “I didn’t want to accept what had happened.”
  22. He’s been pretty clear that he is against Israel. That doesn’t mean he’s against Jews. Him beating Cuomo is evidence that NYC residents are able to separate the two, as I’m sure there were many Jews that voted for him. Edit: also, he didn’t really “use the words.” He was asked what the phrase means to him and he answered.
  23. More evidence the $4-$5 million number for Bo was likely close to accurate
