  1. Which is interesting since he also said he doesn’t cut much to get to 61kg and didn’t rule out cutting to 57kg for 2028
  2. Don’t know exactly how big he is but I wonder how long Blaze can hold 133. Would Davis move up again or to the bench?
  3. So I guess OSU is #1 now with Jax and Ross?
  4. Rutgers (Rivera) probably had the most impressive performance at the Olympics
  5. I thought after the “Midwest Wrestle” fiasco that would be more incentive to go to them.
  6. Lol at including Teasdale. Even Teske only scored a few total points in his 2 trips to the NCAA tournament for Iowa. DeSanto was who I was referencing as being kicked off his prior team and before the portal existed. Lugo was also before the portal existed, and along with DeSanto were the only 2 transfers in the starting lineup in 2020 when they likely would have won the title. Woods and Eierman did well (well Eierman really only his first year at Iowa), but they did not accomplish their goal of winning an individual NCAA title. Even Woods did better in his first year too. TBD of course on Buchanan, Teemer and Parco. Caliendo may end up being their best transfer factoring in years on the team and NCAA placements.
  7. I was hoping he’d go back to his roots to UNC, but they didn’t even make the top 4
  8. Have they? They’ve gotten some great wrestlers thru the portal many of which have improved on past performances, but none have won a title (compared to PSU and Michigan that have). And their team finish the past 6 tournaments has been 5-2-3-1-4-3. Impressive, but probably below normal Iowa standards. And the year they won they “only” had 2 transfers in the lineup, one of whom transferred before the portal existed and had been kicked off his previous team
  9. Looks like updates to CDC’s public death reporting system may have been halted. If Dems did this the right would probably be screaming that Dems were now planning to kill them or something.
  10. +RBY not knowing what par terre position was. Seems like Taylor + co have taught him it though
  11. They’d be “fine,” I think what’s “refreshing” is that Bassett gives them some hope of maybe actually winning a title, particularly if other guys follow him.
  12. So not quite the “biggest scandal in news media history” like Benny Johnson called it?
  13. Becker community notes himself 10 hours later in the comments where less people will see it
  14. Looks like the post in the OP is fake news. Politico received about $40k from USAID…for subscriptions to a different service
  15. Congressman Brandon Gill, as shown in the OP, among other current and former congresspeople, and that’s of course not counting the numerous Twitter “influencers” saying similar things
  16. Recency bias maybe? Looks like in the 2024 class they had 4 of the top 10 (including #1) and in 2025 they have 2 of the top 10 (1 & 2). So Bo is the first Flo #1 that they haven’t gotten in 3 years.
  17. Nothing like finally getting a match people had been wanting to see for years at 630 AM with 3 fans in the stands
  18. Congrats, I think you’ve taken the lead on who’s started the most Bassett threads
  19. I guess @Bulldog won’t have to eat another hat
  20. The OP of this thread is pretty good evidence IMO. But I guess we’d have to define what exactly an “absorbent” amount of money means.
  21. I agree he can’t be compared to Soto, but not because he is a student athlete. Because Soto actually might help bring in comparable revenue to what he’s being paid. For example Soto can probably be compared to Arch Manning or some college football player making millions in NIL. But no college wrestler is bringing in a million in revenue per year. It’s great for the athletes, but this is basically a charity endeavor. I wonder how long it can last.
