  1. (using wrestlestat projected starters except I'm thinking it's Gonzales and not Bouzakis) Ventresca dec McCrone 3-0 VT Latona dec Gonzales 6-0 Mendez dec Church 6-3 Henson dec D'Emilio 9-3 Andonian maj Gallagher 13-3 Brady dec Wilcox 16-3 Lewis dec Kharchla 19-3 Shumate dec Fisher 19-6 Geog dec Smith 19-9 Feldman dec Katka 19-12
  2. I was today years old when I learned that's not his real name! They were talking about his state finals match on FRL and how Ben thought the ref robbed him and were saying it's on Youtube, but I couldn't find it until learning that his real last name is Nebl. I did find a 15 year old video of him announcing a Wisconsin regional tournament where Alex Dieringer was a freshman 103-pounder though. Love Shane though, but I don't really agree with his hatred of the 3 point takedown.
  3. I read your reply before what you quoted, and thought it was going to be Consuelos...
  4. I agree I don’t think Minnow was who he was referring to as a “paid hater,” but if Minnow wasn’t on Brands’ radar before, I’m guessing he got on it with his tweets about the gambling suspensions… Edit: I actually think he was referring to Willie, but just speculation. I agree the Woods transferring episode was a little cringe but I wouldn’t really call Basch a “hater” overall, more just a PSU lover.
  5. To be fair I think Spey was more just saying “you” don’t pay for FloArena (since anyone can access it without a subscription), not necessarily that Flo doesn’t use your money to pay for it. If this is now a Flo bashing/suggestion thread, the thing that bugs me the most is when they tease early rounds of events on YouTube, but then don’t even have announcers. I mean if you want people to watch those so that they subscribe, I would think you’d actually want to put some effort into the event.
  6. Are we sure about Paniro? I thought there was chatter that he may be in the clear from the NCAA if the alleged infractions occurred while he was grayshirting? I know he’s facing actual criminal charges, but I wasn’t sure if that may be different and that he might be able to redshirt this year.
  7. Lol I was being facetious, was pointing out how Basch likes to name drop all the people that are his marketing clients. I do like him with Willie or Cenzo outside of the PSU homerism though, but yeah, not crazy about the interviews
  8. Not sure if you’ve heard, but Cael and Jordan Burroughs are some of his clients for Basch solutions. He’s kind of a big deal
  9. Based on the new rule, both are stalling, unless it is doing something to set up a turn (of which breaking down the opponent qualifies) Yes. See above. Stalling if not working towards a turn. Yes, that is stalling on bottom.
  10. “Squirming” sounds like they’re trying to get out, so not the bottom guy. If top is actually working powerhalfs, they are not stalling either. If they’re just playing with wrists, stalling.
  11. Yes, of course bottom should be trying to get out. But not being able to get out doesn’t necessarily mean you’re stalling
  12. Starocci is expected to be the starter? Phew, I wasn’t sure there for a minute
  13. Ha I was almost going to comment on the religion being annoying too. But that seems to more come up on his interviews and not as much when talking with Willie. WCL is cool although I prefer more the podcast style than interviews in general. Although I think Clash of Combat does a good job on interviews but not crazy about their non-interview shows. FRL still the best overall I think. And maybe not the most in depth analysis but BEG is really entertaining IMO
  14. So you’re saying to get rid of cautions and penalty points?
  15. I did like “the two thumbs” as well. Basch is OK but his PSU homerism gets annoying
  16. Any ideas what this means for his WWE career? I agree with “yawn” as far as the NCAA season goes, but maybe this makes it more likely he competes internationally again?
  17. That is probably the reason, but I have to imagine he might come back at some point otherwise I’d think he would have done a “retirement” video or something. Also his LinkedIn says he started that job in November 2022 but he was posting wrestling videos until May 2023
  18. Is he calling for double stalling?
  19. Lol c’mon, it’s Starocci, next topic. Unless Gable is actually back
  20. Lol that doesn’t make any sense. If you “let” someone lay on top of you, that means the bottom guy is stalling? No, that means the top guy is stalling, especially based on the new rule.
  21. I’m not sure how a thread about 3 point takedowns turned into top and bottom stalling, but: -sitting on an ankle -double boots like 90% of the time -Double spiral ride to name a few
  22. I’d agree with brain here. 125 more just has a ton of parity. Ramos beat Spencer Lee last year (could have beat him even without the pin) but also lost to Anthony Molton
  23. I didn’t say you did, it was an honest question, and I honestly think Palmer does have an argument to be ranked #1 or 2. After Figs, the rest of the top 125’s all have some questionable losses (as does Palmer but at 133). But he also has a win over Nagao, not that that really factors into 125 rankings. I think one argument for him being ranked so low is in theory you could look back at some of Palmer’s losses to guys that also spent time at 125. I believe the only one last year is Lamont, who has losses to Kaylor (2022) and McKee (2021).
  24. My picks in order of confidence: Starocci Brooks Vito Woods O’Toole Figueroa Van Ness Haines Truax Hendrickson
  25. What does the ranker's oath say about common opponents? Should Palmer be #1 (or #2 behind Figs) because he's undefeated at 125 and has a common opponent advantage over Ramos?
