I would think the former due to Cannon not wrestling since he was concussed against Rini. This is Cannon's 5th year in college so it is also possible that he hangs up his shoes and moves on.
  2. I won’t argue with you about it. Mesenbrink is very good. The final bosses at 165 are just so good.
  3. Another way to look at @fishbane post would be that he does not want anyone on this forum to make the same unfortunate mistake that Travis made that almost cost him his life. A public service announcement if you will...
  4. Shapiro, Crookham, Davis in that order. Included Davis because 125 is so wide open. At 174 I would list Gabe Arnold instead of Danny Wask (though it doesn't really matter because CStarr is killing everyone). At 157 Chittum could be included as well. His win over Teemer suggests that he is in the mix. Kannon Webster may also be in the mix at 149. The Big 10 dual season should tell us where he stacks up against the best.
  5. I will go Kerk. Dude is huge. Also, watching him wrestle I get the feeling that there are very few people in the world that could match his size, speed, skills in the practice room. If/when his mentality matches his skillset, he will be an Olympic champ.
  6. I was surprised to hear that Bartlett has a sizeable cut.
  7. I am going to disagree on this. I think Hidlay is the better wrestler at this point in time. You say that Hidlay has not gotten better (I disagree, he is a wrecking ball), but has Griffith? He was a champ in 2021 and his signature win was over Marinelli who was injured and never finished higher than 5th. He had Jake Wentzel in the finals who failed to AA the next year. He then took 2nd and 5th dropping some head scratching matches along the way.
  8. He must be reading from one of the new fangled translations.
  9. Could be. But he says BOOM every time they land any recruit regardless of the recruits accolades.
  10. Keep Travis Wittlake in your thoughts and prayers. He sustained substantial injuries while working on his pickup. His wrestling career is likely over but he escaped a very serious situation with his life. https://www.gofundme.com/f/travis-wittlake-jr-emergency-medical-fund?fbclid=IwAR0-PhbW51D7z_Af6m7_rj8DbKeLgVoQLY20EtrsJB3nYdGM8Ex6Y0REB28
  11. Okay, then yes he was exposed lol. I listened to the podcast and it was a good interview of Pyles. There was nothing that came off negative about him in the interview.
  12. Define exposed?
  13. Probably Manning
  14. Jimmy Mullen is very athletic. In a Flo interview he stated that he hasn’t really ever lifted weights besides just messing around with his cousin.
  15. Cardenas training the “smell my finger” setup with Vito
  16. 3rd I believe
  17. He kept the pin streak going
  18. I would not be too quick to count out Hamiti, Olejnik and Ramirez. They would all be a tough out.
  19. A few interesting nuggets: Kaleb Larkin makes his debut at 149 and gets a first period pin over Redding Cody Chittum beats Teemer 9-5 Yonger beats Shultz 4-3
  20. The cowboys look good. A good OSU is good for college wrestling. They are looking well coached and John actually looks happy with his team.
  21. Wow! What a win by Travis over Ed Scott
  22. Hold on, hold on, hold on.... the name of the hurricane is Hurricane Ditka.
  23. I am wondering the same thing... Hidlay has been steamrolling guys. Looks like the clear #2 guy at this point. My top 5 would be Brooks, Hidlay, Buchanan, Sloan & Elam.
  24. Nash vs a Hurricane, who wins?
