  1. Why is Hawks locked in as the starter? Whiting has had some really nice wins in his career also. I would think it’s something that will be decided throughout the season because they seem to be very even. Both seem to be a slight notch about Harmon.
  2. Impressive win for Little over Jaxon Smith
  3. VV does not generate much offense. Goo defense and really good at riding on top. I believe this is the first match Ferrari has wrestled in over 2 years.
  4. Anthony Ferrari beats Voinovich 2-1 at the Luther Open.
  5. Negron looks like he filled into 184 nicely.
  6. ASU is known to . See Shultz.
  7. Isn’t his dad a notoriously good dude in the wrestling community? Sounds like it was a bad moment. It happens
  8. More like a 7 seed that’s got a mean leg vine lateral drop and could upset anyone but takes some head scratching loses in the name of “letting it fly”.
  9. Rock Harrison is the man. Great commentator.
  10. Team no wrap pork butt today
  11. Same. I’m using it now to watch the Oklahoma - Central Michigan dual from the other night.
  12. You are? I am not
  13. Didn't Ghasempour reportedly tear both groins before worlds?
  14. Agree 100%
  15. Yes sir! Strongly considered the D3/NAIA offers that I had but felt like it would not be in my best interest since I wanted to pursue engineering. It all worked out though.
  16. I was thinking Picklo would make a jump this year. Maybe not… he has all the stuff(strength, flexibility, athleticism) to be very good just hasn’t quite put it all together yet.
  17. Anyone that has dealt with state or federal accounts at work know how much waste there is. It is pretty sickening to see how tax dollars get spent. I get calls from school districts that have a "bucket of money" with excess in it at the end of there fiscal year and they ask us to come up with ways in which they can spend it. If they don't spend the money this year, their budget will decrease the next year so they come up with "creative" ways to spend the money. Here is a true story and a small example used to illustrate the larger issue. There was a post office in rural South Dakota that had an overhead interior lighting fixture fail. Since the post office is a federal account, the contractor doing the work needed to be associated with a particular union that was partnered with the federal government. Rather than call a local electrician that could swap out the lighting fixture in a couple of hours, the post office had to wait 2 weeks for a union electrician to fly in from Tennessee, rent a car, drive 3 hours to the rural post office, stay the night in a hotel and perform the work. A simple project that should have taken a couple hours and cost a couple hundred dollars for the local electrician ended up costing tax payers around $7,000.

  19. Beating a Smith in anything should be considered an athletic achievement.
  20. No D1 offers for me. Wanted to study mechanical engineering so did not want to go D2/D3/NAIA route which were the only schools that recruited me. No club wrestling team at my college but that would have been fun.
  21. I think just James Green was unable to compete at 65kg due to not making the USA team. Stieber and Zain both made a US Team at 65kg. Who else are you talking about?
  22. Some guys that have had success at other weights that have competed at 65kg: Zain Retherford (65kg no medals, 70kg 1 gold, 1 silver), Aliyev (65kg 1 silver, 61kg 3 gold, 57kg 1 bronze), Yazdani (65kg 1 silver, 70kg 1 silver), Niyazbekov (65kg 1 silver, 55kg 1 bronze), Chakaev (65kg 1 bronze, 61kg bronze), Rashidov (65kg 1 gold, 61 kg 2 silver), Chamizo (65kg 1 bronze, 1 70kg gold, 1 74kg silver), James Green (65kg no medals, 70kg 1 silver, 1 bronze), Gadzhiev (65kg 1 silver, 70kg 1 gold, 1 bronze), Iakobishvili (65kg 1 gold, 70kg 3 bronze), Logan Stieber (65kg no medals, 61kg 1 gold). It is a mixed bag as to whether they performed better or worse at 65kg compared to other weights. That being said, many of athletes that have competed at 65kg have had success at other weights.
  23. I guess so.. I was hoping to watch the great American hero run around the arena at NCAA's waving an American flag.
  24. Probably should throw Arnold-Ferrari-Kueter in the mix as well.
