  1. He posted a picture with ringer; I am not sure if Ringer is their full time, but he would obviously be a great partner. Outside of that I have no idea the do have two open Assistant positions right now.
  2. He is a great wrestler regardless of his age, works as hard as anyone both on and off the mat. Is the decision thing a tad annoying? Sure, but it most certainly skyrocketed his engagement on social media. That will 100% be a leverage point for any NIL college deal he gets on top of whatever he is already earning. The kid is on track if he allocates his money properly to probably be set for life by the time he is done in college, and I certainly will not begrudge him for that.
  3. Just tell the truth, you hate Millennials its ok.
  4. Tough to gauge if PK got better or if the field thinned out because you do not have a lot of common matchups, but he did go from a career 50% bonus rate guy to 90% so I think its fair to say he jumped level similarly to Trent. of his 2023 to 2024 matchups I could find against pretty good comp he beats Hawks 7-2 and 7-5 in 2023 beat him 12-2 in 2024 and he beat munoz 5-2 in 2023 and 10-2 in 2024.
  5. Absolutely, do you have any insight on how those bouts go?
  6. Their best lineup would be Ech murdering himself for one more year, Paniro going 149 and chittum or casey going 157 I think that team could contend for a trophy.
  7. DT should bring in chance to train, He has that same stance as Sadulaev where his legs are so far behind his torso. I think he has the ability to replicate that outside step high-c at least I know he can to the right leg. I think it will be hard for him to move sadulaev around so creating angle for his low singles and picks may prove to be difficult.
  8. Very interesting matchup, Carter has not wrestled someone who can score from both sides like PK since Kem.
  9. Please debate below, imo this is the closest match to Dake vs Taylor.
  10. Id love to see DT come out and sting him early and make Sadulaev wrestle him I honestly could see DT blowing him out if thats the case. If sadulaev makes it a slow match in a few positions things get scary then.
  11. zero offense of his own gimme DT if he can avoid the chest wrap.
  12. Sasso did look very very good at 70kg at the us open. He blew that lead to Berger and gave up a last second takedown. Berger was able to beat dee then this year at 74kg which is not his optimal weight. Thats a lot of extrapolating of things that don't really pertain to this matchup very much, but I think that version of Sasso definitely looked better than the one that was killing himself to make weight during the NCAA season. I still don't think this is a match but that's largely in part to it being against MM I still think Sasso at his best is one of the better guys to not win a title.
  13. I think I am most interested in Cannon vs D'emilio at 149 for ohio state and then Ive heard Tagen is going up so Tagen vs Young for okie state. Also, Facundo vs Kasak vs Sealey and or Facundo vs Haines vs Ryder for PSU.
  14. should be a good match to see where Sadulaev is really at. Bagaev is very good obviously he won Russian nats but in my opinion an in for Sadulaev has his way with him. Bagaev did lose to Cardenas last year and I would not expect Cardenas to go 6 minutes with Sadulaev.
  15. As a PA guy was hoping Seidel would ice that one but Knox has the clutch gene. Seidel has a shot at breaking the pa all time wins record this season; Knox did not give him his ties though and he could not figure out how to generate. I don't think we are going to realize just how good Seth Mendoza is until he's not wrestling Forrest and Lilledahl in every big tournament he enters. Correa is a freak and does not get talked about enough. Locket completely shut down Burtons offense with a stutter fake. If Ziola grows into a heavyweight and keeps the style he has now I think he's a national champ. Zepeda did not get on his offense early, I'm not sure if it was something bassett was doing or if he was a little gun shy from the crowd, but I do not think Bo is someone you want to be chasing down his go behinds are too good.
  16. I believe KD asked for it and it was not given to him because he did not compete at u23's and I do not believe wtt's impacts u23's thats why Blaze is going 57kg because he got that spot at OTT's.
  17. Blaze and duke not being in it really dampens it a bit for me give its who's 1. I think Marcus is going down to 57 for u23's and probably is still just focusing on freestyle. It was mentioned on FRL duke was petitioning for the u23 spot as well and just got back to the flow guys too late so they made a different match. My qualms out of the way I think its a fun card. I did not really need to see Forrest vs Mendoza again I sort of wish 138 was a 4 man with those guys but I guess if forrest and Mendoza do go 132 that does not make sense. Forrest vs Vega is just a much more fun match to me. Burton vs Dee is personally my favorite match, I think Burton is probably the most underrated guy in high school right now and really think he could beat dee given the size difference. 126 should have been a 4 man with deluca and rayney added with the guys wrestling but thats just my opinion. I hope Bo vs Zapeda lives up to the hype. I can see a world where Zapeda wins again but I am more leaning towards Bo pushing for a major.
  18. 125- Lilledahl 133- Ragusin 141- Mendez 149- Whalen 157- Shapiro 165- MM 174- Hamiti 184- PK 197- Cardenas 285- Feldman
  19. I do not think this is a close match personally. I do think if sammy is at his best there could be some fun positions to watch though. I remember nico ruiz I believe cradling Messenbrink at the black knight and then hepner locked up two I believe in the dual but did not get a turn. Sammy probably has the best crack down corner sit cradle I have ever seen so I would love to see that position play out especially if we are getting to see big Hoss Sammy. Being realistic it's hard to imagine Sammy being back to 100% I would love if he is but even at that even though I think 70kg was his optimal weight thats still 11lbs down from 165.
  20. if he kept his speed and was even relatively strong enough to hand fight at 65kg he would be an absolute nightmare.
  21. satiev won the cycle after cael won his and I would take cael against most people at his age now. I guess I just think the sport evolved a lot in the 90's and early 2000's from where it was in the 60's and 70's. It's also hard to find film on those guys which probably taints my perspective a bit. Ultimately, I'm aware of two losses Satiev took in 13-14 years at the most competitive weight there is overall. I think both he and JB hold a special place to me for always having a target on their back and being able to adapt for over a decade to stay on top. The difference to me is Satiev never had to shift weights to continue winning.
  22. I am terribly bias in regard to sports evolving over time, so I tend to discredit much older athletes mentally. In terms of accomplishments, he is certainly the best.
  23. Ive always been biased towards longevity rather than peak so to me he is already the american goat. I think Satiev is the GOAT of the sport and will still be even if Jordan wins another gold.
  24. I think its more of Carter is just better at this point and time. Barr does not have a ton of offense at this point and time I would pick him to AA but have no confidence he 100% beats guys like Little,Cardenas,Elam,Beard let alone Ferrari or Buchannen. Carter would still be the pick to win the weight. There is also the chance PK beats carter and you come away with a second place and then potentially a blood round finish with Barr. Worst case if you flip flop in my opinion is like 7th for Barr at 184 (I think this is worst case) and carter second at 197 (also worst case barring something catastrophic).
  25. I personally chalk up a bit of DT's OTT's performance to not being in it mentally but more so I think 86kg may just not be his optimal weight anymore at his age. Ghasempour is a 92kg guy but only because he could not be Yaz I do not expect a big size discrepancy there. What will be interesting is how Sadulaev looks at 92kg. For Taylor to beat him I think its going to need to be a match where he is very offensive and is ok going down early to give himself a chance to run down sadulaev late. In his Russian nationals finals match sadulaev looked tired and very little wrestling occurred. Its probably blind optimism but Im going DT: Gold Sadulaev: silver Ghasmepour: Bronze what will add a bit of a wrinkle to all of this is if Atimukhan comes down. This kid jumped levels like I have never seen in a few months last year when he won senior worlds. at the ranking series in July he lost to finesilver 8-2 and Zahid 10-0. Two months later and he pretty much blitzed the field at senior worlds. He lost to Taz this year 4-2 and has wrestled the entire year up at 97kg including where he won the u20 title (shoutout Radamacher for being the only guy to not get teched by him). Im not even sure if we see him down at 92kg here but I think his rate of improvement coupled with a few guys that are getting long in the tooth makes him someone to talk about if nothing else.
