  1. Has ghasempour made 86kg without 2kg since trials in 21'? he looked absolutely enormous at world and seemed like his tank was a bit of an issue maybe it was more mental than physical though. He is the best guy in the world at 86kg imo if he can make it and feel good perhaps Zahid has something to say but I doubt it.
  2. Answer is nobody, but to aid in discussion I think Wyatt choosing top is the best bet. I know he's been wrestling most of the year, but I wonder how much mat wrestling Gable has done especially on bottom. The only time I have seen him look mortal in the last 5 years is when Geno gutted him twice. Which I know is very different than a turn in folk but if someone gave me Captain America at +10000 to slap a cradle on him, I would throw 5 dollars on it.
  3. I will find a way to convince myself that Julian Ramirez has a shot because they have never wrestled before by March do not worry!
  4. Really think Iowa needs to flip one to account for Oklahoma states bonus but I do not see where they can do that outside of 184. Feels like Oklahoma state has an equal shot to flip 157 and 197.
  5. I would also like in again
  6. Brooks got pinned by Marcus Coleman they just did not call it. Kollin Moore is not a goat but the kyle conel pin always sticks in my brain.
  7. Carr in OT in 2023
  8. Ajamain sterling tore Cody stamanns knee up with a suloev stretch. I'm not sure if it's something where you can monitor the torque on the knee but it's definitely a risky position. Super creative by Knox though.
  9. Not dehydrating himself should help mitigate future injuries and I think his pace will be an issue for guys at heavier weights it's just a matter of if he can move guys around like he did at 86.
  10. I think even the less talked about guys like Routledge can make an impact right away, he looked incredible at ironman and given the recent college landscape that's enough for me to think he could go and have success really early. Henson took 5th there and then 5th at NCAA's the next year.
  11. I think suber can sting Buch if he wrestles like he did against Salazar because he is so tricky in scrambles. If he is actively getting to legs I think he should get a few takedowns to potentially one from surber. 125 Spratley maj Cruz 4-0 133 Ayala Maj Whitcraft 4-4 141 Jamison Maj Schriever 8-4 149 Parco dec Young 8-7 157 Teemer dec Fish 10-8 165 Caliendo dec Amine 13-8 174 Hamiti Maj Kennedy 13-12 184 Plott dec Ferrari 15-13 197 Buch dec Suber 16-15 HWT Hendrickson pin Kueter 21-16
  12. would not be shocked if thompson sucks down to 174 again and jersey robb goes 184. If they want to compete long term Dee will need to grow into 174 and Thompson go 184 or they will need a transfer with a few years. would also not be shocked if they punted next season. Excited to see what Sakamoto can do he is super super dynamic on his feet but Im not sure if one season in the room is enough time for him to learn mat wrestling.
  13. Brands said that Angelo will use all his dates so I would assume he goes here. It's interesting though because I don't think Arnold has a chance to beat Plott I would say Angelo has a small chance. I however do not think Arnold would get Majored I think Angelo potentially could depending on Plotts shot entry and if he scouts out the leg pass stuff.
  14. follow up question what are the thoughts about Khorramdel he nearly teched the guy from Japan who teched one of the United States golden boys at u20's I thought he looked impressive but maybe just extremely physical for the age level which does not always translate.
  15. Saw a video of Yaz doing some proprioceptive training with his new big boy body. Really excited to see how the 97kg transition goes. Is the idea that he will have less stress on his body or he just cant make 86kg anymore?
  16. I think Rocco will go 174 he has been wrestling 79kg and seemed kinda pissed about not wrestling it this year.
  17. I have been trying to think about who may be able to get within 50 points of psu next year, and despite the PSU team likely being slightly weaker next year I think every other team is going to be even worse off. Iowa loses: Parco,Teemer,Buchannan Oklahoma state loses: Hamiti,Wyatt,Fish,Whitcraft,Amine,Plott Cornell, Virginia tech and Oklahoma state have very good recruiting classes, but I would think a lot of those guys redshirt or at the very least will take their lumps the first year. Stanford will be very good through the middle but weak on both ends of their lineup. Nebraska can return everyone aside from Ridge but that's probably 20 of their 60 or so points. Minnesota is in a similar position where they only lose Gable but thats probably 25+ points.
  18. test
  19. I know we have all scratched our heads at the dual comparison tool, but Brendan McCrone is ranked third at 125 right now and I just can't figure out how that got spit out.
  20. Both close? I saw it was 10-9 at the holiday classic.
  21. That is a pretty nasty list, Izzy probably has a pretty damn good one for Illinois as well.
  22. saw he took a loss to davis parrow this season whos game I am not familiar with.
  23. I would definitely say young guns would be the next best bet but PA vs Wisconsin so I am giving the edge to Askren given the state depth. KD has Jayden James and PJ duke which is a smaller sample but they could both be generational I think. Seabolt puts out a ton of high level high school guys but they have not had the college results yet to my knowledge.
  24. Mitchell,Keegan,Sinclair all came up in AWA as kids Im not as sure about the Mirasolas,Parker,Millard etc. All of them were very good high school wrestlers but I believe the Mirasolas,Sinclair,Parker,Keegan were the only top 25 big borders scoles and Millard may have been close? @Husker_Du would no for sure. I know that Ben's plan is to not make these kids the best junior high or even high school wrestlers, he wants them to be able to continue to improve into college and they all seem to be doing that. Mitchell took 7th at super 32 his senior year and then in the same 12months beat haines and got a silver at junior worlds. Millard beating Chittum would have been nowhere on my radar, he was good but he took a lot of losses this last year.
  25. Not to this topic but does 141 feel a bit more wide open to you guys now? Hardy got reversed last second to lose to bartlett and Beau goes on to beat Jesse. Jesse also nearly lost to Vombaur. Now Hardy I dont think can beat Jesse those matches have not been particularly close, and Hardy is also 0-3 against Cael Happel, could Happel be in the mix? He has two bad losses in Schwartz and Tagg but as previously mentioned he has beaten Hardy,Lemley and frost x3. Alirez seems to have Beaus number hes 3-0 across free and folk and the matches have not been all that competitive, Beau and Jesse seems to be a 50/50. Hardy vs Beau is not a 50/50 but it seems like Hardy can beat him. Hardy cannot beat Jesse or Happle. Could Vombaur beat Beau? it was close until Beau cradled and pinned him last year and vombaur has gotten much better although all of beau's matches are close. Then we have Alirez who has really not wrestled anyone of note this year. I would also through in Jamison. He does not really get blown out could he sneak out a one exchange match with one of the top guys? All that to say I think seeding could be crucial at NCAA's and at a weight where I honestly had it a 2-horse race after the all-star I think it could be really interesting come March.
