  1. No, they actually have a super strong recruiting class coming in even without him. But I think they are getting Bo so it's a moot point.
  2. It's a weird tactic to spend so much time trash talking a wrestler and never wrestle said wrestler when given the chance...
  3. I'm not anti-Starocci. I think he wins his 5th title in March. I just think MM and Kasak are having better seasons so far.
  4. Except that match technically doesn't count since it was an all-star match.
  5. Except I'm ranking them solely based on this season's performance so far.
  6. Sounds crazy, but currently I think it might be true if we are measuring on their performance this season so far. 1. Mesenbrink. Literally tech falled EVERYONE including the flame-haired Greek God #2 Michael Caliendo. 2. Kasak. I think he should be ranked #1 after beating Teemer. 3. Starocci. Less than impressive in squeaking out a win vs a redshirt Ferrari. 4. Kerk. If not for the presence of Steveon he might be higher on the list. 5. SVN. Dominant major win over #2 Parco. I think he can beat Lovett. 6. Haines. Solid season so far, still favor KOT over him. 7. Barr. Looked small vs Buchannon and clearly got big brothered on bottom. 8. Bartlett. Undefeated but capable of losing to any of the top guys. 9. Lilledahl. Nice to see him break out the offense. Still have a considerable gap between him and the top 125 pounders. 10. Davis. I still have him as a 2-2 guy in March until he shows me more.
  7. Neutral Offense: Steveson Baseline Defense: Crookham Scrambling: KOT Speed: Ferrari Pace: Mesenbrink Top: Lovett Bottom: Mendez Mental: Starocci
  8. Teemer is a returning national finalist, is super explosive, and has spent a year in a better room than ASU. He is rightly favored.
  9. It's because SVN was majored by Lovett a few weeks ago and Parco has looked very good this year.
  10. No to Davis getting a takedown on Ayala. I think Barr can score a TD on Buchanon but I would favor Buchanon to win the match.
  11. Ferrari is a returning champ at the weight, just not from last year.
  12. He has been impressive so far but I can’t see him beating Ferrari, Buchanan or Cardenas. Is he a legit title contender this year?
  13. 125 Lilledahl dec Cruz 3-0 133 Ayala dec Davis 3-3 141 Bartlett dec Rhodes 6-3 149 Parco Dec SVN 6-6 157 Teemer Dec Kasak 6-9 165 MM Dec Caliendo 9-9 174 Haines dec Kennedy 12-9 184 Starocci dec Arnold 15-9 197 Buchanon dec Barr 15-12 HWT Kerk dec Kueter 18-12
  14. To too my own horn, here are the latest Intermat rankings. I was right on 9 of 10 rankings. The only one I got wrong was Davis. I predicted 8th and he's 7th.
  15. Does it include Figueroa as the 125 for the Hawkeyes?
  16. 125 Lilledahl vs Peterson; Peterson DEC 0-3 Rutgers 133 Davis vs Shawver; Shawver MAJ 0-7 Rutgers 141 Bartlett vs Olivieri; BB DEC 3-7 Rutgers 149 SVN vs Clark; SVN FALL 7-7 tie 157 Kasak vs Harer; Kasak MAJ 11-7 PSU 165 MM vs White; MM TF 16-7 PSU 174 Haines vs Jackson; Haines MAJ 20-7 PSU 184 Starroci vs Walsh; Starocci MAJ 24-7 PSU 197 Barr vs Poznanski; Barr DEC 27-7 PSU HWT Kerk vs Slavikouski; Kerk MAJ 31-7 PSU
  17. Very possible, but I think they could finish with 9 in the top 5 125 LL 5th 133 Davis 2-2 141 BB 3rd 149 SVN 3rd 157 Kasak 2nd 165 MM 1st 174 Haines 2nd 184 Starocci 1st 197 Barr 3rd HWT Kerk 2nd
  18. Ducking until Gable is out of NCAA eligibility
  19. Keuter is wasting his time with wrestling. So far it seems like he may be a low AA level wrestler, but even if he were a true title contender (capable of beating Gable, Kerk, Pindrickson, et al) it makes zero sense for him to focus on wrestling when he could be a mid-round NFL draft pick. I've read he's a very talented football player and could end up playing linebacker or DL in the NFL. If he gets drafted to the NFL (which he seems to have the talent to do) he would make 100x the money he would make if he continues to pursue wrestling. I get he may like wrestling more, but it makes no financial sense not to pursue football instead.
  20. ASU has been plundered by Iowa. Figs is next to defect to the Hawkeyes.
  21. From best shot to win a NCAA title to worst: 1. Mesenbrink 165 - 98%. Maybe Julian Ramirez can upset him. Or Barraclough due to the familiarity factor. 2. Starroci 184 - 80%. Keck could take him out or maybe a new face like McEnelly or Arnold? 3. Haines 174 - 40% I would favor KOT and maybe Hamiti over him. 4. SVN 149 - 35% Despite being dominated by Lovett I think he can beat him and Henson too. He's already beaten Parco multiple times. 5. Bartlett 141 - 33% I put Mendez and Alirez above him, but he is capable of beating Mendez. 6. Kasak 157 - 25% I have Shapiro over him and Teemer too. I could see him beating all but Shapiro. 7. Lilledahl 125 - 20% This will probably increase by B10s but right now 125 is a very open weight with a lot of experience at the top. 8. Barr 197 - 15% I think Ferrari, Buchanan and Cardenas are far above the rest. I think Barr is a high AA though. 9. Davis 133 - 10% He could AA or go 2-2 again at NCAAs. 10. Kerkvliet HWT - 5% Crazy that an undefeated defending NCAA champ is so low but I don't think anyone in the world can beat Steveson. I think Penn State gets 9 AAs (all but Davis) but only 3 champs total. Mesenbrink, Starocci and one of Haines/SVN/Kasak.
  22. Lilledahl 10 to 6 Davis 5 to 8 Bartlett 3 no change SVN 2 to 4 Kasak 3 no change MM 1 no change Levi 2 no change Cstsar 1 no change Barr 4 no change Kerk 2 no change
  23. Majored by Lovett. I am shocked. Sad that it ends SVN’s Hodge contention. SVN will bounce back.
  24. Right call. Reversal awarded with over 8 seconds left and Hardy had 1:06 in riding time.
