  2. So sad to hear Sammy has severe spinal cord injuries. Hopefully he will learn to walk again fully but it sounds like his days of NCAA D1 wrestling are over. I hope Ohio State dedicates this season to him, maybe with a 'SS' decal on the singlet or headgear. I would certainly buy a SS t-shirt if they made them available. Prayers up for a PA boy, Sammy Sassso.
  3. The Fightin' Iowa Hawkeyes are no more...introducing the Gamblin' Iowa Snake-Eyes!
  4. Given Coleman Scott was head coach at UNC moving back to Ok St to be associate head coach seems like a demotion, UNLESS he's been promised the head coach position in the next few years. Scott + Smith, Esposito, Perry and Caldwell is a LOT of coaches unless someone will be leaving imminently.
  5. Prayers up for another PA boy. Hope he recovers and wins it all this year.
  6. He's a legend the same way Desanto is a Hawkeye legend. Beloved.
  7. Slap on the wrist and a pat on the butt. Being a Hawkeye legend will certainly help.
  8. No Iowa wrestlers will be charged or be suspended as a result of this. Book it.
  9. Has Illinois supplanted Iowa as the best midwestern wrestling state?

Iowa City Police say they pulled over a car being driven by 27-year-old Jaydin Eierman of North Liberty on Dubuque Street near Interstate 80 just before 1:00 Saturday morning. Investigators say Eierman had trouble maintaining his lane and crossed the fog line three different times. Police say Eierman showed signs of intoxication and had a bar stamp on his hand. A ripped bar wristband was also reportedly found on the floor of the vehicle. Eierman allegedly admitted to drinking earlier in the night and to still feeling the effects. The Columbia, Missouri native reportedly performed poorly on field sobriety testing and registered a breath alcohol level of .144%. He’s now charged with Operating While Intoxicated. Eierman wrestled for Iowa from 2020 to 2022 after transferring from Missouri. Late last year he announced he was going to begin training for a career in mixed martial arts.
  11. I stated from the beginning this was a nothingburger story for Iowa wrestling and looks like I was 100% right. 7 individuals are being charged and 0 of them are Hawkeye wrestlers. There will be no missed matches for Iowa wrestlers as a result of gambling.
  12. I stand by what I said before. When it comes to Iowa this story is a big nuthin' berger
  13. I support this idea as it's great for high scoring offensive teams like Penn State. It's bad for low scoring grind-y teams like Iowa who are content to win matches 3-2.
  14. Why would he need to announce that? That's his current situation.
  15. This is my official prediction. The addition of the Ferraris, Steveson, Caliendo and Franek make this a bona fide 2 team race next year. As a Penn State fan I welcome the challenge!
  16. Both could end up on the Iowa Hawkeye's roster. Word is that AJ Ferrari is around 230 pounds now. Steveson is obviously the favorite as 2x HWT Champ and Olympic Gold but AJ is a NCAA champ and known for his power and explosiveness. And the only man to beat Gable in college was another 230 pound Italian Stallion named Anthony Cassar... Could Iowa actually be in a pickle with 2 champion tier HWTs on the roster at the same time?
  17. Easy schedule. Iowa should go 7-1 in the Big 10.
  18. Even the MMA board hardly has a peep about it...
  19. If it was really as baseless as you think the mods here can take it down, or the mods on the Iowa forum can take it down. Neither of those things have happened. Make of that what you will.
  20. Blame the OP on the Iowa forum. I am just reposting what the OP posted.
